  We spent six nights here and plan to return - both to Maui and this rental. I almost don't want to share this review in the hopes the condo will be available for our next trip ... Delivers exactly what is promised in the photos, even more. The owner emailed to ask if we needed anything. I asked for shopping recommendations for our daughters (souvenirs) as ideas for eating out. She replied immediately. Before and during our stay she was extremely helpful. We ate many meals at the condo and the kitchen had everything we needed. Steps away from a great beach and only minutes from other destinations (snorkeling, etc.) So comfortable, like being at home, only better. Laundry facilities saved us - always had fresh swimming suits. Plenty of towels and amenities. Ideal for families. What I liked best about this accommodation:Location, amenities, friendliness, condition. What I liked least about this accommodation: Loved everything. I Recommend This For: "Absolutely, I would recommend this accommodation to my best friend!"

  This condo delivers. Everything is as nice as seen in the photos. The owner is extremely helpful, answering all questions (even during our stay.) Centrally located and just steps from the beach, we had everything we needed - a well-stocked kitchen, washer/dryer (definitely needed with a family and a beach). This worked so well for our family (two adults, two pre-teens and one grandma.) Comfy and roomy, we easily slept five people. I can't say enough about this condo - inside and out. You can stop your search. You have found your home away from home.

  Sorry I am only getting to this review now..... If you want a nice clean modern place to stay in Maui, this place is for you. Susan you were great to deal with. This Condo is in a great location and the photo's are very accurate....no surprises. Close to parking lot, ground level which was nice when packing in groceries, luggage etc. Short walk to elevator to the roof top. Yes we would recommend this property. You sleep like a baby on those great mattresses, so comfy. We had the master bathroom and only used the deluxe shower system once, it was like you were at a Spa. Didn't have to use the air conditioning but nice to have just incase. The washer and dryer were great to do up towels. Had fun on the rooftop at night when we BBQ'd, met lots of friendly tenants. Thought it was a nice perk having free calls to Canada as we had left our 17yr old at home this time. Never took in the yoga next door but thanks Susan for the info about it, it was well attended. The only complaint we would mention is those darn birds. You don't need an alarm clock that's forsure, maybe we should have gone to bed a little earlier! LOL Also having 4 chairs out on the lanai instead of just 2 might be a future idea. But what a great place to escape the cold Alberta winters to.....it's really a home away from home. Thanks for trusting us to rent your Condo. Damage deposit was sent back quickly too...

  Owner response: I am glad you had a good vacation Pam. Sorry there is not much I can do about the birds. We actually like to wake to the sound of the tropical birds in the trees - sure beats traffic noise or even an alarm clock. I do know some folks would prefer to sleep in a bit later. We have talked about adding a couple more bistro chairs to the lanai but we worry it might be too crowded. Usually we just bring out the breakfast bar stools or sometimes even open up the beach chairs out there. Of course my kids usually just sit on the wall - at least we are ground level so it is perfectly safe.

  We had two couples sharing the condo which worked great. The second bedroom was setup as a comfortable king bed which made for two suites with their own bathrooms. The renovation the owners did must have been from front to back as all bedrooms, bathrooms and the kitchen appear to be very new and nicely finished. The reno was done with nice tile and looks great, the only negative I would have about the reno is that the kitchen sink is large enough bath an adult which requires a huge amount of water to clean a couple of dishes. It would be handy if you were bathing kids!!! In regard to the location, we found it fantastic. The view of the ocean is very very limited but the fact you can step out the patio doors and be at the pool or the beach in 20 seconds gives you the full view just steps away. There are very nice loungers on the ocean front lawn where we had our morning coffee and watched all of the morning runners and walkers. You do not need to deal with stairs or elevators to access the condo which does make a big difference after a couple of days. Overall it was 5 out of 5 and I hope we get a chance to get back to Maui. I would highly recommend this condo to any group needing a 2 bedroom on Maui.

  We had a wonderful 10 days in Maui. The Royal Mauian in South Kihei is perfectly placed between two beautiful beaches. We snorkeled every day right out in front of the condo and saw many beautiful Hawaiian fish and turtles! We took advantage of the view and saved money by using the BBQ's on roof for dinner. Susan has done such a suberb job with the recent remodel of the condo unit. We had everything we needed in the kitchen and after a full day of fun in the sun, we slept well in the beds and on the comfortable pull out couch. I was happy that the condo was on the side of the building; we were steps away from unloading our car as well as steps away from the pool and waterfront. Because the condo has a partial view it stays cool during the day and doesn't get any noise from the pool area. Thank you Susan for our best visit to Hawaii ever.

  Recommended for: Girls getaway.

  We were extremely pleased with this property and would stay there again in a heartbeat. It was close to the ocean, in a quiet area with all amenities within walking distance. The best snorkeling and whale watching was right out front of the two beaches bordering us. We even swam with the sea turtles here. The people here were friendly and we loved the views from the rooftop BBQ area. We couldn't have picked a better place for our vacation this year!

We also saw a couple of turtles but what struck me was the number of whales. We counted 48 spouts, breaches, tail slaps one evening from the rooftop deck. I am going to get a second pair of binos for the entertainment closet so everyone can enjoy "the show". Come back soon!

  Condo was excellent. Very clean and the tile floors made it very nice. Furnishings were very nice. Susan was very good to work with. I will surely consider staying there again in the future.

  We had a wonderful vacation in Maui and the condo was in the perfect location very clean, updated decor, comfortable and just perfect. The condo building is located right on the beach and only a hop skip and a jump down a small path way to the grass area and private swimming pool over looking the ocean. There is a natural rock wall right in front of condo where the warm water meets the rocks and only a 1/2 minute walk to the beach on either side of the condo. Loved the BBQ area on the roof you can BBQ your dinner and watch the sunset. It is also a great opportunity to meet other guests if you would like or just have a relaxing dinner. Close to shops and stores and easy get around to see island attractions from this location. Across the street from the condo is a restaurant Maui Thai the decor looks a little rough but the food and service was great. Susan the condo owner was great from booking , answering question to her follow up after our trip. Great holiday! Thank you

  We've been home from our holiday in Maui for over a month now, and we still can't stop gushing over the wonderful time we had. A huge part in making our vacation so awesome was staying at Royal Mauian. We had 6 adults (family) in our party and having a comfortable condo made a huge difference. 1st off the location is amazing! Walking distance to everything (bar/shops/food/coffee and morning smoothies) and just steps to the some of the best beaches. There is daily yoga on the beach and rentals for paddle bording close by (there is also lockers for you paddle boards 5$ a day) We had daily sightings of turtles, dolphins, and even a few whales from our lawn chairs (bonus of being on the ground floor was we could run and get the binoculars for even better viewing). What really sets the Mauian apart is the roof top BBQ. We used it nightly and had the best views of the sunsets. We hardly had to wait for a bbq, and if we did, we played games and had our drinks cooling in the fridge that is provided. The condo rm was clean, stocked and beautifully decorated. The location of the room is fantastic, great access to parking and no rooms on either side of the condo. No neighbours to make noise, but the birds in the morning do make for annoying alarm clock. Susan you were delightful to work with and we wouldn't hesitate to book again. The only thing that could have made our stay even better would have been a foam mattress topper for the pull out. It's a tad on the uncomfortable side. Thank you again for the welcome chocolates, It was a unexpected surprise and we were delighted.

  Owner response: I am so glad that Katrina and her group had a terrific vacation. I am also glad that she mentioned the sofa bed. This is the first time that I heard that the sofa bed was not comfortable. It is less than a year old. But, we are visiting in the spring and will sleep on it ourselves. If it is not comfortable we will certainly look at getting some type of mattress topper for it. It is very important to us that all of our guests are very comfortable in our home and that certainly includes getting a good nights sleep. -Susan Update 04/01/13 - We visited and agreed that the sofa bed is not as comfy as it could be, so we purchased a new 3" gel memory foam mattress topper. Ahhhh - it is really very comfortable now.

  We arrived Dec 2, 2012 and stayed for 15 nights. This was our 2nd trip staying in Susan's condo. The condo was welcoming, clean, perfectly located and certainly has everything necessary for a most comfortable stay. The spacious layout, furnishings, art work and location make it the perfect condo in lovely sunny Kihei. We will certainly return on our next trip to Kihei.
