WELCOME TO TURKEY RIDGE FARM!
This hand-Hewn Log Cabin sits on beautiful 35 acres with a vein creek which is running 12 months a year. Relax on the deck overlooking the creek with your favorite beverage. Its very secluded in a beautiful picturesque setting with plenty of wildlife. Cabin is unique in that it is modernized but still has the feel of going somewhere back in time where life was much simpler.
The cabin has a wood burning fireplace. There is a screened in porch area with a heat lamp for when it gets chilly. Located in the back of the property down by the creek is a firepit that is great for cookouts!
The downstairs bedroom is adjacent to the bathroom and contains a king bed and windows that open so you can enjoy the night air. Upstairs is the loft bedroom which contains a queen and a double bed. The loft also contains 2 couches and is VERY comfortable - great for kids or a couple.
The cabin is tucked away in the woods with a big open field just next to the creek which is great for picnics. Trails run through the woods so there is plenty of room to roam. Close-by you'll find canoeing down the Piney River (canoes and transport back and forth provided!) and horsebacking too. Convenient to Nashville, Leipers Fork and Franklin TN.
ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING INSIDE OF CABIN

Everything about this stay was a treat! Even the drive off the beaten path, to a world without the interstate was enjoyable. The cabin and it's location is beautiful. The lack of "everyday" noise was refreshing, just the birds, the sound of the creek, and the rain on the roof. The weather afforded us the opportunity to enjoy the fireplace, the beds with the oppulent comforters, having a picnic down by the creek and a campfire, and it even warmed up enough to wade in the creek. Even the rain was enjoyable with the comfortable, covered porches with their swings, couches and rocking chairs. We were able to "relax" and not even wear watches, just wake, eat and sleep when we wanted to. The library was enjoyable, as well as the kitchen and grill on the deck. All you need is food and you are set! So glad that we found this location to spend our 47th anniversary as we have always talked of being in a little cabin in the woods and just letting the cares of the world pass by. We hope to come here again and will definitely share our experience here with others. Thanks again.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Serenity is what I found at this wonderful cabin. This was like being in the middle of as state park. It sits at the convergence of two creeks and is surrounded by trees with a large field for the back yard. The cabin is perfect location for a family retreat but close enough to Nashville for a city trip. The highlight of the trip was walking the main creek as far back as we could go. I will definitely be coming back....soon.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

We truly enjoyed our visit to Turkey Ridge Farm last week. I needed to be in Nashville for work and the commute was easy. Driving up to the farm I knew there was a creek to cross from a previous reviewer - but, if it rains or you don't want to cross, there is another way to reach the cabin, which we found coming from another direction off the highway. The cabin itself is gorgeous! Very well cared for and I was impressed with all of the details that were waiting for us. My kids especially loved the binoculars! It's very secluded and a perfect place to get away from everyday life. We were able to relax and enjoy the property. If I am brought back to Nashville again this will definitely be my first choice for a place to stay. It kept the family busy while I was working and we all really enjoyed the cabin. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

After spending 8 days in this cabin we were sad to have to leave. It was a great experience and are already planning on staying here at on our next trip to Tennessee. The only thing I can think of to tell you is if you are going to cook, bring a non-stick skillet. LOL. I have trouble going up steps and was glad to see that this cabin had the main bedroom on the first floor and it was only about 5 steps to get inside the cabin. I did not go down the long stairway to the fire pit. This cabin is worth every penny. You will not be disappointed. It is out in the sticks for sure so check the little ones' heads for ticks. While our teens were hiking they said they even spotted a bear. You will be so glad you stayed here! We loved it!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We had a great time and its very quiet there, you see allot of wild life and the cabin is beautiful, its alittle crazy getting to in the dark way back on some country roads and a small creek to cross with your car but its all worth it when you get there.Did you find this review helpful? We were looking for a quiet weekend away for my wife's birthday and found the perfect place in this cabin. Everything was as advertised when we arrived. Although the weather didn't cooperate, we had a great time playing cards with family members and relaxing by the fire. Would love to visit again without the rain though - lots of land to roam and the running creek is very nice. Great outdoor place if you have a dog that likes to run. Highly recommend to anyone looking to get away from it all.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

This was the most amazing vacation we have ever had and we owe it to this property. The pictures of the cabin, as beautiful as they are, do not come close to doing this property justice. There were so many extra special details about this property that were not mentioned or can be seen from the pictures. From the adorable decor to the beautiful sounds and views from the wrap around porches. The owner obviously worked hard to make this cabin feel like home in every detail such as the high quality linens and cookware, comfortable furniture and lots of books, games, movies and tv channels. You will truly be able to feel as though you are miles away but still so close to everything. On top of it all the cabin is extremely child and pet friendly. It not only was reasonably priced but the reservation, check-in and check-out was effortless leaving little to worry or think about. I cannot believe the owner would ever want to share this jewel, but we are so blessed they did. We can not wait until our next opportunity to stay!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

My wife and I live in Nashville and have stayed at this cabin several times. It's a GREAT (yet still close 45 min) get-a-way from the city! It's very peaceful and there is no one else around. We travel quite often and I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Big enough for couples and families. Plus TONS of land for your kids and animals to run and explore. Love it!! Thanks again!
