The apartment was in great condition and very comfortable. amenities such as pool, rooftop terrace, and laundry room were very convenient. Location was great - close to the central market, supermarket, shopping and restaurants and bars. Paulina was available to answer any questions or concerns that arose. overall we loved staying here and definitely recommend it!!!Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

I stayed in the one-bedroom apartment for a little over three months. Everything is as descibed, the apartment is really well presented and fully equiped. The view is beautiful, I loved waking up every morning to see the city and mountains! It is a fantasic locatoin, close to metro stations on two different lines, also a short walk to Bellavista and many tourist attractions. Paulina and her family are all extremely helpful and always quickly responded to any requests. I would definitely recommend this apartment.Did you find this review helpful? I rented this apartment from Paulina for a month and loved it. The people at the front desk are really helpful, the location is terrific, the apartment is super comfortable. Paulina's mom is an absolute gem! So helpful and friendly and willing to pick up and take you to the airport at all hours. The apartment is within a few minute walk to two different metro lines and tons of bars and restaurants, shopping, and sites. I absolutely recommend this place--you won't be disappointed.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/3

The listing was just as it appeared on listing. It was clean, well maintained and located close to things you both needed and wanted to see. The owners family went out of their way to help and the owner made sure you stay was a pleasure. I'd recommend to any family or friend who'd want to have warm professional personable people take care of them.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/3

Vale!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

Located on river that runs through Santiago, this modern apartment is exactly as shown in the photos posted on this site. The building is newer and built with earthquake standards (we experienced two tremors while staying there and felt quite safe). The kitchen was well stocked with extra spices and some goodies in the cabinets. Although small, the kitchen served our needs, and the landlord even bought a new blender for us so we could enjoy all the fresh fruits available at the huge open market, La Vega. The bed was comfy, the pillows great, and the weekly cleaning service included linens, towels, and refreshed paper products. We were even provided an extra internet connection so we could both work online from the apartment. We stayed here for two months and used the apartment as a landing pad for trips taken to northern Chile and the beaches. We felt very safe leaving most of our luggage and valuables there while we trekked around. This apartment is two blocks from the nearest grocery, and so close to downtown and mueseums and restaurants and bars and shopping...it was great to be able to get most places we wanted to go on foot. The landlord was very accomodating and helpful, and even took us to the airport at 5am when we left...thank you Maria!!!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 5/6

This small, but clean and well-appointed apartment was our home for a week in Feb/Mar of 2012. The apartment is on the 12th floor of a new high rise with a good view of the Santiago Centro. The reception staff is friendly and the three elevators are fast so very little waiting. There is no wi-fi in the apartment, but there is dedicated wi-fi room on the main floor with several semi-private stations. The wi-fi is fast and only on one occasion did I have to wait for a seat. A large supermarket is about a ten minute walk as is the large vegetable and fruit market. We were able to walk to all of the places we wanted to see in the Centro, Bellavista, and Recoleta areas. We took a two hour hop on/hop off bus tour of the city and suburbs which gives you a good overview of the city. The apartment has a small balcony off the living room with sliding doors that provided good ventilation. There were plenty of paper towels and toilet paper supplies in the closet by the entry door along with a small vacuum cleaner and other cleaning supplies. The bedroom can be closed off from the rest of the apartment thus giving some privavy if needed. The small refrigerator was sufficinet for our needs and the kitchen was well supplied with dining ware and utensils. Paulina's mother takes care of business in Santiago and we used her services for transport to the airport on our departure. Our flight did not leave until midnight and we were allowed to stay in the apartment until 1930 saving us from a long wait for our flight at the airport. Paulina is very specific on how the finances are handled and her cleaning fee is higher than we paid other places, but we will be looking to rent from her again when we return to Santiago next winter. We rented apartments in Quito, Lima, and Mendoza prior to ending our journey in Santiago--this was the best of the lot!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 7/7

I have to agree with the first two reviews. Paulina and her mother were very helpful. The condo is in great shape. The only concern I had was the water pressure, but other than that everything was fine. My wife and I walked almost everywhere the first 7 days. The taxi and subway are easy to use. I never worried about my safety. The condo was centralized to all the attractions that we wanted to see. We could not have asked for anything better. The listing was very accurate, the property clean and is well maintained. Great customer service. Would recommend this property to a friend or relative. Many good resturants in easy walking distance.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 5/5

I didn't just luck out with a great little apartment beside the river, within walking distance of the main sights of Bellavista and Lastarria, Parque Forestal and Plaza de Armas, but I got a "family" as well! The owner was very understanding of a hiccup in my arrangements early on, and her mum and dad chipped in to offer practical help and friendship even before I'd taken possession of the keys to the apartment! The flat is classy and clean. I've been very happy here. Thanks!!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 4/4

There is a lot to like about this condo . . .. (1) Location, location, location - Whether your are staying a night or a week, you will be pleased with its convenient location, about midway (10-20 minute walk) between Plaza de Arms and Parque Metropolitan / Bella Vista neighborhood (resturants & nightlife). The Central Mercado (seafood, poultry, etc); the major vegtable market (including everything else) and a full size urban supermarket are all located only 2-3 blocks away. For that matter, everything (subway, buses, ATM, internet, shops, wine, etc) you will need are located 1-3 blocks close. (2) Comfortable/stylish condo - this is a newer comfortable, clean and stylish condo, sharply furnished/appointed in a modern and attractive manner. Think NYC style small 1 BR/studio apartment living. Eat in kitchen sufficiently equipped. VERY comfortable queen size bed with extra pillows. Hot shower with good water pressure. The building is a newer modern high rise (12th story of 25 story building) that appears to be approx 70% +/- sold out. No need to worry about security with a building doorman and 3 locks on the entry door plus a security system. (3) Service - owner (Santiago native, now residing in US) was prompt and responsive with all email questions and requests, including local recommendations and advice, etc.. After a long flight from US, we were given a most hospitable Chilean welcome and tour by Paulina's Santiago based mother, a most pleasant woman with good (enough) English. We took advantage of her kind offer to drive us to the airport and gave her some gas money plus, a win-win deal for all. I believe she is quite accustomed to doing quite a bit more . . . just ask for a favor and see for yourself. Santiago is a major metropolitan city on par with other major cities in the world. You won't experience safety concerns as is common throughout Latin American. That said, Chile is no bargain as is Peru, Ecuador, Panama, etc. with the cost of most goods and service are on par with US pricing +/- (excepting world class wines at a 50% discount). We filled a 7 day stay with Santiago city tours and to-dos combined with a few day local day trips, including day bus trip into Andes mountains, winery day tour and Pomaire village pottery shopping spree. Finally, the rates are quoted in US dollars but paid in Chilean pesos . . . do your homework, shop the currency exchange and negotiate an equitable rate.Did you find this review helpful?
