For secluded beaches, beautiful sunsets, playing in the surf, snorkeling, worldclass surfing and fishing, Rincon Escape is the perfect escape for you.
Our home is wonderfully large with an old world feeling - high ceilings and generous spaces to relax in. It has a secluded patio and its own private pool.
Rincon Escape is located on a quiet cul de sac that leads to the beautiful, sandy Corcega beach - one minute walk (3 houses) from the villa. Situated on the Carribbean Sea, it is Rincón's most beautiful, gentle beach.
The house has 2 master suites with bathrooms, fully airconditioned and ceiling fans. Both open to a large covered balcony overlooking pool. One suite has a queen size bed, the other two double beds.
There are two additional large bedrooms, one with a queen size bed, and the other with twin beds. Both are airconditioned and have ceiling fans. There are two additional full baths in the house. Plus there is an outdoor shower for your return from the beach.
For dining, you can pull a stool up to the granite counter in the large, gourmet kitchen, or enjoy the round table in the dining room, looking onto the patio – or even better have breakfast, lunch and dinner on the patio to the sounds of tropical birds and coquis (tree frogs).
There are ceiling fans in every room, including bathrooms and the patio.
We have many guests returning to Rincon Escape, enjoying the nearby ocean -- but even more they especially love the pool. Grandparents love to watch their grandkids play, and others go from patio to pool and back again with a freshened drink in hand. The abundant greenery and palm trees surround you - it is paradise.
Wedding guests/families especially love to stay at Rincon Escape because it is a beautiful home - very appealing for elegant weddings. The interior staircase is perfect for photos.
The house is designed for entertaining, with plenty of room in the kitchen for many friends to be cooking at once. It has granite counters, microwave, large oven, dishwasher. It is fully stocked with dishes, glasses, silverware.
If you would prefer to eat out, Rincon has several wonderful restaurants offering everything from Tapas to Puerto Rican cuisine and even sushi.

The Rincon Escape was just as lovely as the pictures and description. We where so pleased with the location and quality of the home. It is located on a quiet street just a few houses up from the beach, with a very private backyard, patio and pool which we enjoyed immensely. There where 8 in our party we always felt comfortable with a great deal of common area yet enough private space. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and we enjoyed cooking and barbequing. Lisa was a very pleasant property manager full of knowledge on the area and great suggestions for places to shop and dine. We cant thank the owners enough for sharing their lovely paradise!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We stayed at Rincon Escape for Spring break and totally loved it. The rooms were larger and more attractive than the photos, and the photos look beautiful. The home is filled with original art and collectibles, making it feel like you are visiting a special friend instead of a rental. The emphasis is on cozy, inviting seating areas, encouraging conversation, relaxation and daydreaming, all of which we did throughout the week. We enjoyed the beautifully landscaped pool when we weren't at the secluded beach. I loved the spacious, breezy bedrooms, with the tropical sounds of the coqui's, or waves or neighboring rooster. Lisa and Audrey were very helpful with information about where to eat and sightsee, we especially enjoyed the BlackEagle. There is so much to see and enjoy, we look forward to returning and sharing this special home with friends.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Rincon Escape. This was the best short vacation I had without the rush around and dealing with hotel staff or finding a place to eat. The layout of the home is great, roomy and spacious. The kitchen was the best part since we love to cook and BBQ. The spacious kitchen made it easy for individual cooks to prepare their dishes and not run into each other. We really enjoyed the patio and pool area everyday, it made it hard to want to leave and go sight seeing since we were so confortable staying at the home. The beach was only a five minute walk from the house. Everything from the bakery to the market are close to the house. We purchased mangos that were so sweet, but you can pick your own on Route 115 in the middle of the divider, just take a stick to knock them down. FYI - The Famarcia has memory cards for cameras if you need one. We would definitely come back next year and stay longer, 4 days is not enough time. The only negative is the dog next door, he starts barking early in the morning and mostly all day. Thank you for sharing your home, it was a blessing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rincon Escape. The layout of the home is superb, with outstanding relaxing/social areas adjoining the pool. The beach with the glorious sunsets was only a five minute stroll. The house is in close proximity to the markets and attractions of Rincon. Our group consisted of 3 retired couples. We would definitely come back.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

The pictures do NOT do it justice. The house was so much nicer. The pool was clean and the backyard luscious.(4 months with no rain in the area, this yard was the ONLY yard on the street that was expertly groomed.) Everything was clean, bright and cheerful. The kitchen was loaded with everything you could possibly need - and we had a trained chef in our group! The location was perfect...it was nice to have plenty of beach towels and beach chairs available. We LOVED Rincon...and are already talking about returning. Do NOT change a thing...it was perfect!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: We're not changing anything. This is our family home. It is great to share it with others who like the same things we do.

This is not a beach house, this is a beautiful home, a private retreat with a paradise garden and lovely swimming pool. Although the ocean is only a few steps away, the comfortable veranda is hard to leave. You can read and eat and swim and sunbathe all on the veranda and patio and pool. And that's mostly what we did on our vacation. The kitchen was spacious - and ideal for our team cooking. It has more utensils and pots then in my own. The house is large -- and you can get away from each other -- especially in the TV room. It's just quiet there. The day we were leaving, the technician was putting a satellite dish on the roof for internet capability in the house - so the next time we will be able to tweet and text. Rincon Escape is a short walk to a beautiful sandy beach . We met some wonderful neighbors on the beach - which made our stay even better. They have come every year for 18 years -- and they were very welcoming to us. We liked the food in Rincon. There are enough restaurants to keep us going to new places. There is an information book in the house that lists good restaurants and other places to go. The lady who manages Rincon Escape, Lisa, was very informational. Although a transplant from England, via California, she obviously loves her adopted community. We're coming back next winter -- we;ve already made reservations. Rincon Escape is a house I would like to return to for the next 18 years, God willing. My husband and I stayed at the Rincon Escape for a week with another couple. It is a lovely house; the bedrooms are roomy, and the air conditioning in the bedrooms makes them comfortable for sleeping. If you choose to open the windows as my husband and I did, the breezes will keep you cool. The pool is not heated, and you want to be sure to take insect repellant--the mosquitoes are regular guests. There is an outdoor shower that is fun to use. All the appliances and the BBQ grill were in good shape, and we cooked at least one meal a day in the villa. There were lots of dishes, glasses, flatware, and cookware. It is a short walk to a beautiful beach. We will definitely try to go back someday.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

A family of 8 including three generations , age between 70 and 5 , we stayed in this nice villa for 10 days and enjoyed the nice weather and hospitality of Puerto Rico during Christmas 2012. The house was up to what had been described with all amenities in order and helpful owner. For us looking for a quiet beachlife this was perfect. You definetely need a car to move around and do the ordinary shopping. We could recommend the nice restaurant Black Eagle , with a nice outside sunset view and a live band. We can recommend the house and surroundings for people like us ,who wants a nice and quiet stay without too much jetset lifeRecommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with young children.

I have never written a bad review. In my experience, if a property is exceptional - I will post. If the property is as expected or slightly below average, I will not comment. But with this rental I felt I had no choice to warn other potential guests looking to explore and enjoy beautiful Rincon about this villa and the owner. We arrived late at night after driving from San Juan to find a beautiful property that has been neglected. The owners live in the US and it's about time they returned to the villa to rectify all the issues before re-renting. If we were offered the villa at half the price we paid, we would still look for an alternative option. The whole villa was dirty...dusty, filthy, greasy. We woke up and tried to use the coffee maker - it had mold all over it as it hadn't been cleaned since the previous guest used it. We opened the dishwasher to find it full of dirty plates, cutlery and so forth. The cupboards were revolting - as if they haven't been cleaned in years. The bedrooms were the same - under the beds was unsanitary - we were just so disappointed after expecting so much from their website. Whilst using the fridge, the handle fell off and nearly broke my sisters toe. Again - just pure neglect. We tried to use the barbeque during our stay, but unfortunately that was also dirty from the previous guests stay. The pool was dirty - I assume they don't have a regular cleaner. The garden area was overgrown and not cared for. The upstairs balcony, although large and potentially a great area to relax in, had really bad broken tiles. We had our young son there, and we felt we couldn't use the area as it was clearly a hazard that could have injured my boy. We were disappointed. We stayed for 2 weeks and we explained this all to the owner. He acknowledged all these issues - and for us that was a concern. He knows about this - but doesn't do anything to rectify it. It could potentially be an amazing property - it has so much potential.Owner response: We spoke with these guests during their rental and of course were disappointed to hear their findings. In over four years of renting the house this is the first time we have received such comments regarding the cleanliness of the house. Nonetheless we immediately supplemented our cleaning crew and got to work, addressing the problems that were identified. Including the refrigerator door handle, now securely reattached - no more danger to bare toes. The new gardener has cut back the lush overgrowth, and the backwash system on the pool has been repaired and the equipment is working perfectly. We take great pride in having many guests return year after year to Rincon Escape. We receive new guests based on recommendations by our regular patrons. Rincon Escape has been a wonderful and beautiful home for many visitors to Rincon over the years. We are dedicated to maintaining that goal. The house is large, gracious, close to the beach and in a quiet cul de sac. We regret these guests felt it did not meet their standards and continue to strive to provide the property our numeous other return guests have found: a home away from home where they can enjoy the pleasures of Rincon.

I decided to spend my birthday at Rincon Escape Villa. It was a memorable weekend since the moment we get there. The house meet our expectations. I'll say that is a little outdated, specially the floral arrangements and some carpets, but the most important thing was that we had a great time. The attention given by the manager was very helpful. The house was clean and they have plenty of towels. The beach was nearby and the kids had a lot of fun at the pool. If you want a quiet place to have fun and relax, I recommend Rincon Escape.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.
Owner response: September, a quiet time at Rincon Escape, gave us a chance to freshen up a bit without getting in the way of our guests: new cushion covers outside, tired decorative items removed. Power washed the exterior of the house - sidewalks, pool deck and driveway. Landscaper did a wonderful job of clearing out old growth and setting in new plants - the backyard/patio remains a tropical paradise. Air conditioning units have been serviced and the pool has a new robot for daily cleaning. Rincon Escape is ready for its winter guests.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2005
About the owner: We are two hardworking professional folk in our 60s, waiting for grandchildren to come along. We love to garden, to cook, and love the water. And we have both in abundance at our home in Rincon.
Why the Owner Chose Rincon:
We bought in Rincon on a lark. While vacationing in Puerto Rico, we visited the out of the way town of Rincon and fell in love. We asked ourselves, “how could this quiet little town from the 1950's with wonderful beaches and great surfing be kept so hidden from big tourist operations?' We have since discovered that Rincon is the jewel of Puerto Rico's west coast, an out of the way and unspoiled paradise.
The Unique Benefits at this Villa:
The best part of Rincon Escape is going to the beach and submerging myself in the warm ocean water. And just paddling about. Then a walk on the beach, and back in the water. Going home to shower and then off to a local bakery or store for good Puerto Rican food. Back home to sunbathe by the pool, and then back to the beach with drink in hand watching the sunset. Incredible snorkeling is only a 5 minute drive away and the local sufing beaches are some of the best in the Carribbean.
