Goat Island is a wonderful 4 mile slice of sea island located on the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway between Mt. Pleasant and Isle of Palms, South Carolina. The island is accessible only by boat. Use your own boat or arrange for a captain to pick you up and drop you off.
Our house has 2,160 square feet heated and cooled. The three bedroom, three bath house is equipped with all linen and towels. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances with plenty of cooking equipment. You can also cook outside on the grill. Sunrise and sunset can be viewed from the property on the balconies, a perfect spots also for bird watching and sun bathing.
Our house is located on the north end of the island which is very secluded and quiet. Capers Island Heritage Preserve and Bull Island, located in the Cape Romain National Wildlife Refuge, are a short boat ride north and offer excellent fishing and crabbing adventures. The Isle of Palms City Marina is a quick boat ride away and offers casual and fine dining as well as a fully stocked marina store for those last minute items. Charleston, Fort Sumter and Patriots Point are all accessible by boat. You may never need your car while you are visiting but if you do, we are one of the few rentals on Goat Island that offer a boat slip in Wild Dunes Yacht Harbor and parking for your vehicle.
Goat Island is a very special place and one of the few liveable islands in the Charleston area maintaining it's natural state. Depending on the time of year you have access to oysters, clams, shrimp and all the fresh fish you can catch. You can do as much or as little as you want on Goat Island. Your comfort and pleasure are our priorites while you are visiting.
During the off season, December through May, we are offering a special discounted package for a long term rental. A deep water creek is available behind the island with access to a tidal dock on ICW. A 58' boat slip is available on the Isle of Palms at Wild Dunes Yatch Harbor Please visit for more information and photos about our lovely house on this website:

My husband and I spent our 10 year anniversary at this amazing place. Capt. Robbie could not have been nicer or more accommodating. The house is so comfortable and has everything you need for a relaxing visit. The views from the house and dock are just awesome. Located very close to the Isle of Palms marina, it's easy to pick up visitors, grab basic essentials at the marina store or have a drink at Morgan Creek Grill. If you are looking for a place to get away from it all, this is the place for you. We were relaxed for days after we got home and we are already planning our next visit. Can't say enough great things about this special place!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway.

My wife and I rented this location for our wedding last year and also stayed over a weekend this summer. This property is absolutely amazing and has everything you need for the perfect getaway! Since Goat Island can not be accessed by car you really feel like you are out on your own private island while being just minutes from shops and restaurants on the mainland. The small outdoor stage and restrooms make this an ideal place to entertain, and the rocking chairs on the roof, the doc, and the hammock make it a great place to relax. Plus the owners are AWESOME! Highly recommended :)Recommended for: Families with young children, pet owners, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thanks Jeff and Heather. Your wedding was beautiful!!

My family rented this property at the end of June and had a wonderful stay. The house was very clean, nicely decorated and best of all the location. We enjoyed sitting on the dock everyday to watch the boats go by. The house has 2 nice bedrooms. The kitchen is very nice. The views from the house are fantastic... it is a very unique place to stay. Five stars!!!Recommended for: Pet owners, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you Trish and Family. We're so glad you had a great time. Goat Island really is a special place. Hope to see you again soon!
