We have stayed in vacation rentals in Europe and the US and our stay at Didean far exceeded our expectations. The home is spacious, updated, and beautifully decorated. It is very clean and the yard is large and well maintained. Niamh and Frank were very helpful and responsive to our emails and provided numerous resources to make our stay enjoyable. All three generations of our family loved exploring the beach that was a short walk from the house and watching the sheep, cows and horses in neighboring fields. Our children fell in love with “Monster” the neighbor’s dog who came by to play several time a day. They were in tears when we had to leave and are already asking to go back!

My husband and I, our one year old son, and three of our extended family members recently stayed at this wonderful house near Dingle. It was the perfect retreat: relaxing, close to the beach, and had all the amenities that we needed and more. Niamh and Frank could not have been more welcoming. The kitchen was perfect for cooking meals and while at the house, we spent most of our time in the cheerfully sunlit dining room. It was perfect for enjoying a glass of wine and conversation when it was too cold to sit on the deck. The house was exactly as pictured online. We could not have been happier with our decision to stay at Didean and should we return to the Dingle area, we wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again. Thank you Niamh and Frank!!

Our family just returned from an amazing vacation to Europe. One of the highlights was the opportunity to stay at this lovely home located near Dingle. The house is immaculate, and exudes style and charm. Niamh and Frank welcomed us with open arms, and their home provided us the perfect place to return from a day explorer the amazing Irish countryside. We were absolutely thrilled with our time in Ireland, and would highly recommend Didean to anyone. Thanks again Niamh and Frank, all the best The Masons

Our recent say at Didean was a retreat of sorts, and based on other reviews, I will say that in some miraculous way, it more than exceeded our expectations! Tons of space inside and outside to rejuvenate this (reluctant) city-dweller’s heart. The close proximity to hiking and the beach was perfect. The house is decorated beautifully and simply-- a fantastic combination in my book. Thank you, Frank and Niamh, for your promptness, attention to detail, famed Irish hospitality, and willingness to share your beautiful home. It is a holiday we will not soon forget!!

This is a wonderful house in a beautiful location. The picture of the beach does not do it justice - it's as beautiful as anything you'll find in Ireland. There were a few days of massive waves crashing into the bay that were absolutely amazing to watch/hear. The house has everything. It truly is a luxury home by the beach. Thanks Niamh/Frank!

We rent homes frequently for vacations. This home was all as written and frankly much more. All bedrooms are comfortable, and there are multi bathrooms. All is clean and well stocked and organized. Hairdryers were there. We brought ground coffee, some extra soap bars and shampoo. Between the owners and previous renters, not much else is needed. I cooked a few nights and found the kitchen really easy to navigate. The washer and dryer were simply great. The one surprise was the "beach." It actually is more of a glorious rocky and rough cove that has a sandy area when the tide is out. We thought the views and scenery here beat the Cliffs of Moher. My nephews ran daily (along with the neighborhood dogs that we loved). We walked to that beach each day at varying hours. It is stunning. To get to Dingle at night, take the taxis. It is easier, inexpensive and the drivers are full of stories and fun. In the mornings and evenings, you will likely run into the cows being moved from one field to another. We ate at Doyle's - expensive but good. We liked the food at Adam's bar, too. The home is very upscale and so comfortable. The dogs that are in the neighborhood hang out by the house. My daughter fell in love with all of them. They were wonderful and went with us on all our trips to the beach. They love the frisbee. We had so much fun. We strongly recommend this home to those liking something built for comfort with an upscale leaning. Great value for touring the Southwest and West of Ireland.

Our family group included three generations ranging in age from 75 years to 5 months. The layout of the house allowed the young people to talk loud and late in the welcoming farm kitchen while the children slept undisturbed and the oldsters could choose a quiet reading corner in the comfortable, separate living room. The flat acre of grass surrounding the house was a great place for the kids to play frisbee or fetch with Elvis, the amazing sheep dog we all fell in love with. A short walk to the beach is rewarded with magnificent views of Sea Stack. We also enjoyed watching the sheep move from pasture to pasture up and down the mountain just beyond our hedge. Dingle is just a 15 minute drive and is filled with shops, pubs and music. Slea Head Drive provides some of the most spectacular views in Ireland. Looking back we feel we couldn't have chosen a better place to gather our children and grandchildren. Niamh and Frank made us welcome and comfortable and we would definitely choose Didean again.

Our family had the pleasure of staying at "Didean" on the beautiful Dingle Peninsula. The house was fantastic, beautifully decorated, well-equipped, extremely comfortable and spacious. Whether enjoying morning coffee on the scenic outside deck, playing a family game of soccer in the large yard, competing in Wii challenges on rainy days, or just relaxing in the lounge reading and listening to music, there was something for everyone.. The peaceful countryside location with its stunning views was perfect, close enough to a secluded, sandy beach for a lovely walk or a hike up the surrounding mountains and just a short drive to Dingle town with its many wonderful pubs and shops. Our family had lots of fun at the Dingle Golf Center and a challenge at the magnificent Dingle Ceann Sibeal golf course, the most westerly golf course in Europe. Many thanks to Niamh and Frank for their kind, attentive welcome. They were great to work with and made us feel right at home. Our delightful companion, Elvis, the neighborhood dog, walked everywhere with us. We treasure the great memories from our trip to Dingle and highly recommend "Didean" as the place to stay.

We had read that Dingle was one of the most beautiful places on Earth. . .and it did not disappoint! We spent one week of our vacation in Didean, on the Dingle peninsula, where we enjoyed the trip of a lifetime. Didean is the quintessential Irish home—it is beautiful, spacious, immaculate and welcoming, but with all the modern amenities. The yard is bordered by hedgerows and provided the perfect place for six children to play. Didean is a short walk from a breathtaking beach and a quick drive from town, but it also provides a peaceful space with beautiful views of mountains, water, sheep and horses. Niamh and Frank overlooked no detail when they prepared for our arrival. They greeted us with Irish charm and left complete details for the home and the surrounding area for us. We would be remiss if we did not mention Elvis, a loving Border Collie from the neighborhood who played with our children and walked us to the beach. We cannot say enough wonderful things about our stay at Didean—it became our “Irish home”—and we hope to one day return for another stay. We are positive that you, too, will have an amazing experience at Didean.

We were made to feel very welcome by Niamh and Frank from the moment we arrived. We were surprised by the spaciousness and quality of the house. The whole house is new and fitted to a very high standard, and the layout is such that you can always find a quiet spot even in a large group. Given the variability of the weather, it was great to be somewhere which was snug and warm when a strom was passing through, but also had a very large garden in a fantastic secluded setting for sunny days. The beach is very close, and more often than not we had it to ourselves. Dingle town is just a few miles away, and the restaurants and pubs there are first class. The Dingle peninsula is great for walking and exploring by car. The hike to the top of Brandon's Peak is not for the faint-hearted but the view from the top is superb. We would definitely love to come back to Dingle, and we wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Our family had a wonderful vacation at Didean. The owners are welcoming and attentive. The house is immaculate and well appointed. It is also located very near a secluded beach that we walked to daily. We had more than enough room for 6 adults for the week and made good use of the extra fridge. The town of Dingle is nearby and idyllic. We enjoyed discovering the many restaurants and pubs. The Dingle peninsula is a great vacation spot with natural beauty and so much to offer. The trip to Great Blasket Island is rugged but not to be missed. We also enjoyed a wonderful day in nearby Killarney National Park. I only wish we had more time to explore the Irish countryside! We will definitely stay at Didean in the future.

We needed something pretty special to celebrate my husband’s “big” birthday and with Didean we could not have chosen a more perfect holiday home in a wonderful location to bring the family together. The house is beautifully appointed, so spacious, with meticulous attention to detail and comfort. Our three 20 “somethings” just loved the space and luxury feel the house gave us, including the upstairs lounge area with the large flat screen TV for evening movies! We loved the surrounding beautiful countryside, the sea views, and taking the short stroll down the lane to the small bay - felt like our own little piece of beach heaven. It worked well for us being equi-distant (driving approx. 15 mins) between the spectacular Inch beach, (Ryan’s Daughter) for sea and surf, and Dingle town - and then exploring the peninsular beyond. The owners are lovely people. Made us so welcome and particularly went out of their way to help us track down a slate mirror (like the one in their turquoise bedroom) – now up and hanging back home! I would definitely stay here again.

Owner response: Thank you so much for such a lovely review! Yes its certainly wonderful being so close to the beach and Dingle! Thank you also for appreciating the attention to detail and the effort we have put into the home to ensure that guests have a great holiday. Thanks for being such lovely guests! Niamh and Frank

As a young family, we have stayed in a number of holiday homes, and this was by far one of the best homes and locations we have enjoyed. The views from the home are typical of the breathtaking peninsula, and will give you a taster of what is to come, if you take the famous Slea Head Drive not far from the home (which I highly recommend doing). As for the spacious home, it is very tastefully furnished, perfectly maintained and ample room for all of us. The owners have taken care of every little detail, good books, CDs and videos games for the kids, its the little things that count and gives you a sense of home away from home. We enjoyed the short stroll every morning to the beach, which is quite a gem. What a place to take in the views and the tranquility. All in all, this is a holiday home, I would recommend to all family and friends, who come to Dingle. Alternatively, if you are figuring out where to stay in Ireland, come to Dingle and enjoy this home.

Owner response: We're so glad you enjoyed your holiday here and thanks for the lovely feedback! Yes the house is great for young families too...there is plenty of room for children to play in the large garden and its great being able to just stroll to the beach. We're delighted we chose this spot to build the house...it's perfect really!

We LOVED it!! This was one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. We went in a group of 6 and really loved the accommodation and surroundings. It was really perfect and we could not have been made more welcome by the owners. Such a variety of things to do. We loved strolling down to the beach in the morning and then we usually headed off to explore the beautiful countryside during the day. Dingle town itself was great for music, cafes, restaurants, craft shops and much more. What more can I say, we loved it!!

I highly recommend this treasure of a house to anyone who is looking for peace and comfort. Everything the owners said in their description of the place was 100% accurate. The location was great: fantastic views and the beach was brilliant and so close by too. Great space for the kids to play outside and plenty of room for us all to relax and enjoy ourselves. We had a great time exploring the Dingle peninsula. This was our first experience of renting a house on holiday and we would love to come back here again one day, to explore more. The owners were the friendliest and most accommodating people one is likely to meet.

We do recommend Dingle which is not only amazing but also spectacular! We really enjoyed the house which is wonderful, large, spacious, relaxing and has all commodities (it is actually even bigger than it seems when seeing the photos!). Their wonderful owners furnished it with a lovely home-deco style. The house is situated in a nice and calm area between country and sea with its almost private beach, and is very close to Dingle. Once again, we have been surprised by the beautiful incomparable landscape and stunning sceneries of Dingle and the peninsula. We were delighted with our stay in the house and had an amazing time in Dingle where people are great!

This home was clean-as-new, obviously well cared for and beautifully designed. I loved the bright dining area in the large kitchen, the utility room, the wooden floors. We were a large family group so having lots of bathrooms was a plus. Communication with the owners was always easy and straightforward. It was great to be able to walk just a few minutes for an early morning swim amid breathtaking scenery. Dingle town, nearby, was where we would go for delicious meals, ice cream on the Marina, shopping (including beautiful handcrafts), funfair and music. All in all, a holiday to remember!
