  We loved the house and had a wonderful time. Overall we found the location to be perfect. I have never stayed anywhere that wasn’t gulf front and wondered if I would mind it. We didn’t because the setting with the lake out back and the covered porches was both private and beautiful. Also, the public beach access was very close. Decorated in a fun and beachy theme, and we appreciated the ample amount of dishes, pots and pans, and served ware. It was great to have two living rooms - we rented both upstairs and downstairs. You can walk to restaurants and cute shops. Oh and bring your fishing pole for the lake out back.

  We stayed around the end of summer with our dog as well. There was a 24 hr tom thumb convenience store right next door to the community and they had a good selection of beach supplies and accessories as well as plenty of snacks and coffee for the mornings. The beach was a very short walk. With only two of us, we very easily carried our blankets, umbrella and our ice chest with no problem. There was also a wal-mart about 5 min away which came in handy for buying groceries to cook and they had plenty of beach supplies as well. The house was very clean and neat. The decorations create a very beachy atmosphere. Pool was practically right outside the front door. There are some good restaurants within walking distance and plenty of other attractions right there on highway 30-A.

  This was a perfect beach vacation home. We were in a nice fun beach community. The house is only steps away from the beach and the lake. We enjoyed BBQ'ing on the porch and watching the sunsets over the lake. The house had the best of both worlds, the beach and the lake. We actually caught some fish off of the bridge! The house is conveniently located to the local restaurants and shopping which was an easy walk on the walking trail just out front of the house. We had coffee at Miss Lucilles every morning, a small coffee shop with outdoor seating. I had all of the amenities of being in my own home. The house is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. I'm marking this house as a favorite! I highly recommend this home!

  We rented this spacious 4 bedroom beach house for a week and loved it! One exceptional asset of Periwinkle Panasea was that we had two families and were able to rent both the top and bottom units while both families were able to keep our privacy, yet be together on vacation in Florida! This house is the most well-decorated and clean beach house we have ever rented in South Walton. The location was fantastic! Both our families include young children so it was quite nice to be able to walk just steps to the public beach access for one of the most beautiful beaches you will find anywhere. This house exceeded our expectations! Thank you Periwinkle Panasea :)

  We rented the entire house in summer of 2009 with friends, and liked it so much that we returned and rented the upper half in May 2010. We and our three kids love this place! The house is roomy, comfortable and well stocked. It's a very short walk to the beach access directly across the street. The beach is wonderful - clean and uncrowded. The sunsets over Oyster Lake are fantastic. It would have been absolutely perfect if we could have just caught a fish in the lake... but we will definitely be coming back to Periwinkle Panasea!

  NEW PROPERTY MANAGEMENT-NEW OWNERS since my family occupied Periwinkle Panasea in July of 2010 . The new owners have listened and corrected prevoius problems. It s a lovely house in a great lovation. Enjoy your stay.
