Truly a well thought design describes this unique lake house on Lake Placid with one of the best docks on the best lake in Highlands County, Florida. From here you have a long unobstructed view of almost the entire lake, including some of the most spectacular sunsets anywhere. Lake Placid is 3500 acre lake with the highest water quality and white sand bottom. This home is clean, cozy, comfortable, and is one of the best values on the lake. You could probably pay more for a more fancier home, but why? For those with children, Please know that all lake houses are not created equal. Some lakes and locations are not suitable for children (or even adults) to enjoy the water safely. This Property has a 100' foot plus white sandy beach area with clean shallow water to the end of the dock perfect for younger children. Unlike some other locations on the lake which have dark, deeper, water with mucky bottom near the dock, we have non of that. This is a perfect place to swim or float on a raft enjoying the water whether you're 6 or 60. Also, please be aware of the importance of the location of the house on the lake. Some homes advertised on vrbo are on canals, or less desirable areas of Lake Placid.

About the owner: We are a family of 4 with two very active boys. Plus, lots of immediate family and friends. We designed and built this vacation home because we wanted the ability of having family and friends over for extended stays. While on vacation we wanted enough room for everyone to spread out and have their own space but still be all together under one roof. We wanted a special place to enjoy the holidays with our family and friends. We have shared more laughs, played more games, told more stories, and had more fun at this place than at any other vacation spot we have ever visited. Our home accomodates everyone looking for family time perfectly.
Why the Owner Chose Lake Placid:
We love the Lake Placid area. It reminds everyone of Florida of years past. Small town friendly atmosphere yet having all the conveniences big cities have. We especially love Swimming,Fishing,Sailing, Water Skiing, Picnicking on the sand bar and most of all enjoying our friends and family. We also enjoy at the end of a fun filled day Barbecuing on the patio enjoying the amazing sunsets.

Located in Highlands County, 100 miles south of Orlando on US 27, 100 miles southeast of Tampa and 100 miles northwest of West Palm Beach. Lake Placid is 'in the center of everything while in the middle of nowhere.' Known as the 'Caladium Capital of the World', Lake Placid is a small town with friendly people in the middle of Florida, safe from crime and the fast pace of the typical Florida big city.
The town of Lake Placid is just 15 minutes away from Sebring, FL and about 2 hours or less from Orlando, Tampa, Ft Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, and Fort Myers. Plan a day trip to enjoy the magic of Walt Disney World or Busch Gardens.
