Beach Bari is a brand new, non smoking cottage style home with four bedrooms, three baths and sleeps 10 on two levels. The house has over 2000 square feet of heated/cooled living space and approximately 600 square feet of wrap a round balcony in the back of the house facing Lake Katherine's pristine view.
The master bedroom is setup with king bed ensemble, the guest bedroom upstairs and downstairs are setup with queen bedroom ensemble. The kid’s bedroom upstairs is setup with two bunk beds and one even has a trundle bed for additional sleeping space. The living room down stairs also features a full-size sleeper sofa. Beach Bari is tastefully decorated in a lush tropical West Indies/Hemingway style with all over tile floors in a palate of warm earth tones.
A spacious open living/dining/kitchen area with 10 foot ceilings and nine-foot ceilings on the second floor along with oversize doors gives that spacious ambience of a European Villa. The cottage was professionally decorated with every conceivable upgrade that will appeal to the most discriminating of tastes. The kitchen is handsomely furnished with color-coordinated appliances, icemaker and corian counter tops. The kitchen has been equipped with top of the line cookware, house ware, dishware and utensils to support the owner’s hobby of gourmet cooking.
The house has color coordinated two inch Hunter Douglas blinds on every door and window for privacy along with ceiling fans in all rooms. Warm and very comfortable bedding supports the Beach Bari. After all you need a good nights sleep to enjoy your vacation.
Beach Bari features a 42 inch TV with top of the line surround sound stereo equipment in the family room and two 27 inch TV and two 20 inch flat screen TV in the remaining bedrooms. All bedrooms and family room are equipped with VCR and DVDs.
Master bedroom features it’s own entertainment system and a fax/printer machine for those who MUST work. All other bedrooms are equipped with music system and all TVs are video game ready. The private wrap a round balconies upstairs and downstairs have top of the line aluminum furniture to be enjoyed under the outdoor fans. The backyard is decorated with outdoor lighting to create a comfortable ambience along the shores of Hidden Lake for an evening barbecue on the full-size gas grill.
Old Florida Village is a new "Seaside style" quaint neighborhood of just 67 colorful cottage style homes on a quiet dead end lane just across the street from the famous sugar white sands and emerald green water of the Gulf of Mexico in Florida Panhandle. Beach Bari’s location, as the sixtieth house on the street, makes it a convenient stroll (half a mile or 900 steps) to the beach access.
Santa Rosa Beach is a short 10-minute drive to the largest factory store mall in the country as well as all the family and adult activities of Sandestin/Destin. The great restaurants, shopping boutiques, summer concerts, artist fairs and continuous entertainment options on the "Green" at Gulf Place Caribbean is just a short walk on the bike path or a golf cart ride. Golfing on the beautiful 18 hole Santa Rosa Golf Club with two holes overlooking the Gulf is less than two miles away.
One of the community pools is immediately across the private drive and is great for families that need to have close supervision with their kids and for those times when a diversion from the beach is needed. Parking for two cars is available in front of the cottage. Additional cars may be parked on the gravel pad of the pool. All the items of the Beach Bari are brand new from A-Z.

My family just returned home the grandkids had a great time as we all did, the house has up to date furnishings big back porch and lots of room for everyone the area was quite and kid friendly with a pool right across from the house about 3 blocks to the beach/ no wyfi and the ice box was not cooling called the maintenance people 3 times left a message 2 times and talked to a live person once and sent a email to sandcastle escapes but the appliance guy never showed up to work on the ice box and we lost some meat products. The house was great the area was great we loved it and will be back
Owner response:THANK YOU for your review. We take pride in our property since it is our vacation home also. We pay a hefty management fee per rental even when guests book via VRBO. We do that so that our guests are well taken care of during their vacation. I have addressed your concens with the management company. We hope you will come back and give us a chance to impress you beyond your expectations.

I was highly interested in renting from this property except when I read that there was no mention of any internet access, wifi or wired access. From my research of other properties in the vicinity, I have noticed they all provide some form of internet access to their tenants and would hope that this property could do the same. Doing so would definitely, in my opinion, increase traffic to their property and provide a better experience for the residents at a low cost (less than $30 per month). After all, this is 2011, not 2001, where we can access maps, restaurant websites, local park websites, and other nearby amenities that were once displayed on Rand McNally maps. Let's be honest. Not providing internet, in any way, shape, or form, in this day and age, is just not a sound business strategy. I hope the owners change their policy on this.
Owner response:Thank you for your comments. You can usually pick up several wireless network connections and hotspots from the property. We had installed a G-Band wireless router in the past and the signal kept interfering with the other signals due to the close proximity of the signals. We will attempt to install a N-Band router and see if that works any better. Once again thank you for your recomendation.

We enjoyed your beautiful home over Thanksgiving Holiday last year. The house was very clean and comfortable with all the proper ammenities. The property felt like brand new. We enjoyed seating on the balcony every day and seeing the lake in the back of the house. Our kids enjoyed the pool while we kept an eye on them from the front balcony. Thank you for sharing your home with us and we look forward to coming back.

Pros: pool outside front door, nice floor plan, great a/c, grill out back, ice maker Cons: bushes WAY too high so u continue use front porch - didn't even realize there was a shower head outside b/c the bushes covered it, floors were dirty, toaster didn't work, patio furniture dirty/rusted, couches need to be updated or thorough cleaning, need more kitchen supplies, no wifi capability, no sheets for the bunk beds. I stayed in another house in same subdivison and you can definitely tell the difference between booking directly thru owners verse an agency. You can negotiate w/ an owner. The house was fine, but not as clean as I would have liked it.
Owner response:We appreciate your comments and have taken steps to remedy the issues. The landscape around the property has been totally updated along with several new kitchen appliances. We have purchased new patio furnitures for guests and the house (inside and outside, specially the tile floors through out the house) has been proffesionally cleaned. We have also added new inside furnishing to the property to make it more comfortable. We do not allow guests with pets since our kids are allergic to pets. Since your comments we have spent in access of $10,000 to update the property. I am sorry we could not honor your request to cancel your reservation a week prior to your arrival. I hope you understand the summer weeks are the main source of our income for this vacation rental. We have also addressed all these issues with our management company. I hope you will give us another chance in the future to make it up to you. We thank you for your comments and sincerly appologize for your troubles. Thank you.
