  My partner and I spent five days in this villa and wish it could have been longer. Extremely spacious, with high ceilings, a lovely garden and a large pool, we found the villa to be very comfortable and very much felt like a home. Great communication from Sandy and the staff. The villa manager, Putu, is charming, friendly and helpful. The location is superb, with restaurants, beaches and local attractions on your doorstep. We will definitely be back, thanks for the great stay Sandy, Putu and everybody else who made us so comfortable.

  What a brilliant affordable Villa. My family with 3 adults and 3 Children were extremly comfortable in this amazing villa. The cleaner came everyday and Putu the manager was available at great rates to take you around if desired. The beach was less than 1km walk and your own private pool meant that the kids could make as much noise as they likes as well as we could swim at any hour. It was lovely being able to walk straight out of our room into the pool. The villa was extremely secure and a great place for our family to rest at the end of the day. Restaurants, bars and transport all within a couple of minutes walk and the busy Kuta shopping centres are just a short taxi ride or 3km walk from the villa. We highly recommend the villa to anyone wanting to stay and be able to do their own thing in the luxury of your own villa. Will def stay again. Thanks to Ron, Sandy and the team.

  First time for my family in a private Villa normally stay in a hotel in Legian. We have to kids boy 13 and girl 16. Tree Frog was such a pleasant surprise, for a fraction of the price of a hotel stay, and located close to all things, beach, great restaurants and night life. The Villa is all you could ask for 2 very comfortable air/con bedrooms with en suits your own full sized pool. NO sharing with everyone, beautiful garden, kitchen to cook a breakfast. Putu manager picked us up from airport, and was on call for any tour at a reasonable price. Daily cleaning villa, pool, garden. All in all a wonderful relaxing 4 days wish we had of had more time. In summary, hard to find a better base for a holiday, thank you so much Sandy and staff.

  I have been to Bali 4 times and this is the first time I have stayed in a villa not a hotel. True to the picture as soon as you walk thru the gate you felt at home from the sparkling pool with the candles lit the ambbience was wonderful then you entered the villa with your outdoor dinning two bedrooms and open bathrooms. I was suprised how close the villa was to the beach walked it in 6 minutes had lunch and dinner at some great restaurants that Sandy and Ron had recommended also in walking distance did not feel unsale at all. The staff especial Putu who was waiting for us when we arrived and could not do enough for us including fetching groceries chauffeuring us to all the places we wanted to visit and helped us shop for special item we needed to ship back to Australia. (no need to hire a car when you have special staff like Putu). Also to Widi for the beautiful breakfasts every morning and that very special mango juice. To Sandy and Ron thank you for arranging for a massage every second day it was so easy to deall with you right from the start. I will be back to see you in November staying once again in the Villa Tree Frog

  This was my first trip to Bali and my recent stay at this villa was most disappointing. Much that is advertised is not accurate therefore extremely misleading. Luxury it is not! I booked this villa based on what the owner told me along with the glowing reviews. I'm astounded that people can write their remarks with a clear conscience. The villa is located in a grubby undesirable area. The walk to the beach (advertised as 5 min) is a trying unsafe 15 minute walk due to the narrow congested street with active scooter, taxi & construction traffic, along with deep gutters and crumbling sidewalks with gaping holes in many places. No working channels on TV (DVD's only) No stereo, No water or water dispenser (only 2 bottles in the fridge on the day of arrival. We lugged water for several days before Putu (manager/driver) kindly brought a 10 gal jug on his scooter. Without a water dispenser it was most laborious filling bottles from this heavy container. The cutlery and housewares were a shoddy mismatch, although new plates were delivered by Widi (housekeeper) the day prior to checking out. I camp with better utensils. The bamboo furniture is uncomfortable with worn flat cushions making a time of relaxation most unpleasant. The heat was exhausting and there was no movement of air or as advertised "sea breeze". We had asked Sandy for a fan when we met her but her response was it's "bare bones" and that she was tired of people breaking and stealing things. 4 days later Putu arrived with a stand up fan and we were most grateful!! Installed ceiling fans would be more energy efficient and perhaps one would be less inclined to run the A/C so often. No written information for guests is irresponsible, shameful and unbelievable. Especially for folks who are experiencing their first visist to Bali. We had no idea where the nearest grocery outlet or credible money changers or ATM's were located. Most importantly.......what to do in the case of an emergency. Putu did eventually supply us with a local cell phone and thank goodness for my Lonely Planet book. The absence of security and a string of barbed wire along the top of the "secure wall" was unnerving. The staff are great. The pool is lovely and clean. The gardener keeps the upkeep of the grounds well. However, having a snake on the villa veranda and lodged under my bedroom door we had no desire to spend any time in the very small garden! We should have checked out as did the couple from Villa B.

  Owner response: Foot note to my original response. After having had time to think this through I wish to add a few more comments. Bali is what it is the whole of Bali has its faults like crumbly footpaths etc but I guess it gives it its character. Seminyak,Legian Kuta etc have all the same infra structure they work on it daily to keep it up kept . Anyone that has been to Bali will know what I mean. but they love it just the same. I feel Brenda and Wanda women were just out of their comfort zone. They told me they normally holiday in Mexico and the likes. First time in any Asian country can be a culture shock!! As i stated before my staff were their to help when needed and I have detailed maps brochures etc in the villa, Putu picked them up most days so the money changer and purchase of water should not have been an issue, There is a 24 hour convenience store on the corner only 3 minute walk from the villa.We gave them a mobile phone to use while here in case they needed any thing. I dont advertise stereo however the dvd player can be used for your cd 's I have been with Homeawy for 2 years now and this is the first negative review on this villa I have had over 500 people through the villa so I am a bit taken back by this review. Please let me reassure any future guest I am only here to help you enjoy your holiday and will help with any reasonable request Cheers from Bali Sandy

  My family including my daughter 19, son 14 and my mum and dad stayed in the trendy tree frog for 10 amazing nights.. When you first open the door you walk into the most gorgeous garden and sparkling swimming pool,... open kitchen and lounge... both bedrooms have gorgeous open garden bathrooms... air cons are beautiful especially after a day out!!! Sandy and Ron are welcoming, helpful (i left a case there and they were only to happy to post back, thankyou), lovely to deal with :) really appreciate everything you done to make my first overseas holiday with my children an experience we will never forget... Staff are fantastic, we will all miss you Widy, Putu a wonderful, helpful man only to happy to do well basically anything, pool guy (sorry forget his name) great and in and out before you know it... overall our holiday here was the best ever, the location for us was fantastic, a 2 minute walk down to the end of the lane and within seconds a taxi will come along (cheap as).. quiet lane way, secure and safe... THANKYOU all once again, it was an amazing holiday, we will be back and we will once again stay at the Trendy Tree Frog Villa :))))))

  We stayed at Sandy's Treefrog Villa in Seminyak from 30 October to 6 November 2012. The location is great and only a five minute walk to the beach (about 10 minutes for the walk back, full of food and good cheer). Bintang Supermarket is also a cheap and quick taxi ride away. The staff are great and in particular, the Manager (Putu) will go out of his way to ensure you have what you need. We were humbled by Putu's helpfulness and genuine kindness. Putu is also a good driver, great company and a wealth of information on anything you want to know about Bali or the Balinese. The villa itself has spacious, well decorated bedrooms and charming outdoor bathrooms. The pool and garden is a definite highlight and daily cleaning of both the pool and villa make enjoyment of the facilities easy and hassle-free. Although not 100% perfect for disabled persons (but where is?), the villa was certainly able to accommodate our son's wheelchair and bedroom/bathroom access was simple and easy. He had a lovely time! If cooking is not your forte or inclination, most restaurants in the vicinity will deliver - and if needed, the housekeeper (Widi) can whip you up a tasty Balinese dish or two. In all we loved our stay at Treefrog Villas and are already planning our next stay. Highly recommended!

  Hi Sandy, Mr Ron & Putu we would like to say a massive THANK YOU for your spectabulous service.... As first timers to bali we did not have or know what to expect and what Putu showed us and did for us was above and beyond our expectations :D our accommodation just blew us all away and could not have chosen a better place and location. having all amenities within 2mins away from the villa...waking up in the mornings and not hearing any traffic especially the BEEP BEEPS lol was fabulous and then returning to our clean and crisp airconditioned rooms everyday was absolute bliss.. And who could forget BALI'S NO# 1 DRIVER Putu he was the bomb we were so very fortunate to have met and have him to ourselves as a friend and guide we have actually adopted him in our whanau (family) :D because he is soooo awesome especially when he cooks you lunch on your last day :D ;D.. And big Thanks to you Sandy and Mr Ron for allowing us into your beautiful home OMG is all we had to say! we were all convinced we are all moving to Bali after seeing your home ;D.... We highly highly recommend VILLA TREE FROG prompt friendly communication and service just all round great people...   We stayed at Villa Treefrog no. 1 for a week. We are a family of 4, kids are 10 and 12 and the property was big enough to feel comfortable in, the pool is a great size, (we brought our own lilo). The mango tree created a much needed shade when needed, pity we missed the mango season by a month. We would have loved that! The staff were friendly and discreet at the same time. There is really no need for a kitchen as there were plenty of wonderful eateries close by, however we did have a couple of early starts so it was handy to have the basics to cook breakfast with. The villa was located in a gang (lane) and surrounded by other villas and rice paddies, it was quiet and away from any traffic. We found that tour groups can't easily find it so to avoid confusion we asked them to pick us up in front of Lesterio Restaurant at the end of the lane. The beach was only a short walk away and we liked walking to the many bars on the beach, sitting on beanbags watching the sunset sipping cocktails, whilst the kids play on the sand. Sandy was great with communicating to us via email, especially as this was our first time in Bali and first time booking a private villa. I would not hesitate in recommending this villa to anyone. We would definitely return again, as we found this villa to meet all that we needed as well as being of great value as well. Thanks again Sandy. Best regards, Rosemarie, David and kids.

  Villa Treefrog is a lovely villa near to the heart of Seminyak. We went with 4 adults and a toddler and had a great time. The garden was big enough for the toddler to run around in and the pool is a good size too. It's very peaceful there, despite being a short walk from shops and restaurants. You can walk to Gado Gado easily (about 10 mins) but we found it a bit too far to walk to Kudeta, etc. There are always taxis passing at the end of the road though and it's only a 5mins drive to get there so it's not a problem. The owner, Sandy, is very quick at answering emails and very helpful throughout the stay. It gets quite hot in the lounge area in the morning sunlight so a fan would be a welcome addition but that's the only thing I would change. We had a truly relaxing holiday and will definitely be going back to Villa Treefrog.
