  The description for this property was exactly as it said it was. The photos were accurate showing the appearance of the property. The property was very spacious, clean and well maintained. When I first contacted the owner, I was very surprised as to how fast he responded to my email. He was very precise in answering all my questions. I will definitely recommend this property to everyone! I would also want to stay here again on my next visit. It was perfect for my family and I. The nearby locations were very close, like the supermarket, restaurants and the beach.

  Was not real impressed with the condo. We stayed at a condo in Isabella, and it was a lot nicer. The pool was very nice. Really disappointed with the beaches in the area. Restaurants were good especially Metropol. Location was good as far as getting to our destinations. All in all, it was satisfactory but not great.

  Owner response: We strive to make our guests' experience the best one possible. In this case, we were in contact with this guest during their stay to make sure everything was ok, but did not receive any complaints from them about the property or the nearby beaches (and we wonder if they went to the beaches described in the additional information we provide to all our guests). As you will see from other 20+ reviews, others thought the both property and the nearby beaches are outstanding. One thing is for sure: we certainly make our best effort to make sure our guests are very satisfied, but we cannot do so to those who do not provide us with the opportunity. If you stay with us and anything is wrong, please let us know and we will do our best to correct the situation as quickly as possible, as we always have.

  If you are looking for a place that's affordable, close enough to town and tourst areas, or a place to relax, this is the place to be. Luxurioous apartment with all necessities readily available, wounderful view, close to Cerro Gordo beach, with an extraordinary pool, and even more extraordinary people. I left completely satisfied!!

  We found everything to be just like they described it would be. The condo was very comfortable for the 7 of us (5 adults and 2 kids), clean and with everything we needed for our stay. It's located close to San Juan, but at the same time out of the rush of the traffic. The beach, Cerro Gordo, was very close. White sands and the water so clear, it was really nice. They have supermarkets, restaurants, malls and movie theaters around so you don't have to go far to get what you need. And one of the best things was to get back to the condo, after a day out on the heat, to the air conditioner. You're not going to regret your stay at this location. We are looking forward to stay here again on our next visit to Puerto Rico.

  We stayed in Omar's apartment for a week in the month of February 2012. We were 6 of us including 2 toddlers. Overall we had a fantastic stay. Omar made himself available at all times. His wife met us when we arrived and showed us around the apartment. It is part of gated community and we felt safe staying there. The beach was very close and we had a great time! We wish we could have stayed longer.We highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to quiet place away from the city at a reasonable rate. Bronxville, NY.

  Four of us stayed in Omar's apartment for 7 days, 6 nights. The advertisement describes the property accurately. It was clean and very roomy. Groceries, drugstores, restaurants were within very reasonable distances. The pool was absolutely fantastic! Staying in a gated community was another big plus. It was conveniently located between our families in Levittown, San Juan, Bayamon and Lares. Everyone of us was very pleased and enjoyed our stay. Omar was very accomodating and provided lots of details which added to our comfort and ease of vacationing. Thank you Omar!

  We stayed at Omar’s place from Feb 16 to Feb 24 of 2011. The property was clean and accurately detailed in the description. My family had a wonderful experience. The kids 6 and 4 particularly enjoyed the backyard and the pool. We, the parents, enjoyed peace of mind a private backyard afforded us. Cerro Gordo was fantastic and nearby. In between our longer trips around the island, we spent most of our time at the pool and Cerro Gordo. Mr. Pereira is professional, friendly, responsive, helpful and informative. He responded quickly by phone or in person to address all our requests or questions. His recommendations for local cuisine were spot-on. Our time here was too short and we look forward to our return and would highly recommend it to anyone else interested in a relaxing vacation.

  Two couples stayed at this villa for a work related vacation in Vega Baja. The location was great, the condo was clean, and the community ammenities were beautiful. We did not have much time to use the pool and beach but did manage to get a little relaxation time in the back yard. Omar met us at the condo to give us a quick tour as well as gave us invaluable recommendations on a few local markets and restaurants. Have a 'home' to cook, do laundry, and have wireless internet was wonderful. I would definitely recommend this place to friends/family as well as contact Omar for rental next year if we end up in Dorado.

  Hi Omar: I wanted to write and thank you for providing us with a wonderful place to stay during our visit last month.What a perfect place to stay! Once I parked and i saw you came to recieve us at the villa,I knew we were in luck.You make everyhting so easy during the whole process of the rental contract.The villa was perfect,comfortable, very clean and well -maintained,the pool heavenly! We are in love with the place.and I already recommended you to others.Looking forward to another visit. Hopefully,we'll see you next year!

  It spend almost 2 weeks in Omar`s apartment with 2 little kids. It was a nice and secure place to stay. Apartment has a big yard, witch was very convenient and my kids played there a lot. Pool was also very close and had an area for small toddlers, where I could let them play without worry. Be aware that GPS system doesn’t work very well in Puerto Rico but Omar kindly met as near the Gas station and then we were following his car. Thank you.

  This vacation home was perfect. No additional taxes, no parking fees, no checkout times...The space in this place was amazing and more than we expected. Many extras such as washer, dryer, all dishes and cooking appliances in kitchen, towels, sheets...you name it. House is on a lower level, so it keeps pretty cool even when AC wasnt beeing used. Nice Patio, safe for kids to play with no worries... nice community gym and awesome pull. Great place for families or group of friends! We are definitely looking at staying here during our next trip to Puerto Rico! I received my refund for my deposit in 2 weeks! amazing.

  My family stayed in Omar's apartment from August 13th-20th. While we've been to PR many times, this was our first experience staying in Dorado as well as renting an apartment - but with 2 adults and three growing children, hotel options are becoming much more limited and costly. Omar was a wonderful host and resource from our very first phone call. He made the rental process very simple and straightforward.....greeted us upon our arrival with his adorable son, gave us the five star tour of the apartment and grounds, and provided us with great restaurant recommendations, driving directions and even weather updates when a storm threatened to pass through the island. The descriptions of the apartment itself are very accurate......although the photos really don't give you a good sense of how large and bright the rooms are, especially the main living/dining area and master bedroom. The jacuzzi was a great treat after a long day at the rainforest or beach.......the kitchen had everything we needed, the walk-in closet was enormous, the washer/dryer a godsend, and the central AC way more than adequate. The somewhat limited cable TV stations might be a bit of an issue for people who are used to having 500 channels at their fingertips but there are 2 "Redbox" movie rentals minutes away from the apartment and honestly, who wants to sit and watch TV when you're in such a beautiful place!! Cerro Gordo is a beautiful beach.....as lovely as many we've been to in Isla Verde. Entry is free unless you park your car and then it's only $3-$4 for parking. During the week you might be the only ones there.....the weekends get a little crowded but never too bad......and it's a nice way to absorb a little local flavor. The pool on the grounds is beautiful and as others mentioned we were often there by ourselves......The pool "officially" closes at 6PM which seemed a little early to us but once or twice my kids "forgot" to leave and noone said anything. The apartment is very close to 2 supermarkets and just about any fast food you could imagine. We loved Dorado....but keep in mind that it is approx a 45 minute drive to San Juan, 60+ minutes to the rainforest, and approx. 90+ minutes to Fajardo (where most of the snorkeling excursions leave from) so you have to plan your stay and your day trips accordingly.....For us the beauty and quiet and calm of Dorado made it worth the extra driving. Thank you Omar for a lovely vacation!

To clarify the issue related to "The somewhat limited cable TV stations might be a bit of an issue for people who are used to having 500 channels at their fingertips", our cable package is pretty comprehensive since it includes all the major networks (CBS, NBC, ABC, Fox, etc.) plus the major kids channels and CNN International, and many other channels including the local ones.

  We usually come to Puerto Rico to visit relatives every year but this time we wanted to stay in our own place so we could be on our own time schedule and not someone else's and Palma Dorado is the perfect location if you plan to vacation in Puerto Rico. My husband and I traveled with our two children, a dog and my mothert and there was enough room for all of us. The apartment and the property is very well maintained and secure. We were 5 minutes away from the beach (driving). Even if you do not make it to the beach there is a pool on the property which you haveaccess to. We were 30-45 minutes away from San Juan and all the shopping spots along with historical sites. Also in Dorado itself you have all the amenities, i.e. groceries, movies, restaurants, walgreen, etc. The owner, Omar, met us personal to give us the keys and a tour of property and also checked in with us during our stay. There are also several brochures in the apartment so you can plan your days there. Make sure you get the navigation (gps) with your rental or briing your own like we did. It will cut down on your driving time because you will have exact directions to places. All in all we will return for our next vacation. You have all the amenities of being at home on vacation.

Regarding the use of GPS units in PR, we tested our unit a few renters back and decided not to offer it anymore to avoid disappointments with renters. We found that, while the unit is very helpful to get you where you want to go, you really need to know exactly where the place you want to go to is located on the map (in other words, only knowing the name or an address does not help much since the name/address search capabilities are quite poor). On the other hand, if you know the general location in the map of where you want to go, you gan just hit the 'go there' icon and it works great. Another point is that the GPS might take you through roads that take longer than others (for example, it may route you via primary roads with traffic lights instead of highways). All you need to do in that case is to find the way to the nearest highway and it will re-route you from there.

  My friend and I felt right at home in this spacious apartment with every convenience right at our finger tips. The quiet neighborhood, sense of security, and fabulous pool where often we were the only people at the pool really made it a relaxing experience. The sound of the coqui and the beautiful tropical breezes only enhanced the experience. The apartment is well maintained and has everything from washer dryer, internet connection,airconditioning to all the necessary well kept appliances. The backyard patio was a nice place to have breakfast before the start of our day. To be close to the beach(es) and have wonderful sightseeing within reach was only made better by the host providing us with a GPS to have at our disposal.. He had thoughtfully programmed major sites and necessary places(for ex. supermarkets) into the GPS to make our trips convenient for us. The owner was extremely warm and gracious and reflected the people of the island that we met in our travels. It is the perfect place for people who like to be near the hustle and bustle but not have the noise to detract from their relaxation. It was very soothing and at the same time interesting as we had easy access to everything that we wanted for convenience and sightseeing. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to enjoy the island, as well as get a flavor of the island that is not reflected in the series of hotels along the downtown san juan area. A truly enjoyable vacation. Much thanks to the owner for ensuring such a wonderful time.

  The condo was larger than we anticipated. The unit was clean, and better outfitted than expected, there were all the cleaning and laundry supplies and staples for personal hygiene. The owners were friendly and helpful. I went running in the early morning and felt safe . I would recommend the property. The beach is a long walk or short drive and beautiful. Dorado is just out of metro area and close to the main highways which made travel to various parts of the island easier.

  We (grandparents, parents and a grandchild) found the place quite spacious. Mr. Pereira was very prompt in addressing concerns we had. The location was convenient to places we had an interest in visiting. Omar loaded our TomTom with points of interest (note if you go to P.R. you have to purchase points of interest frm TomTom). The stay of a week was quite enjoyable.

  We found the condo to be spacious and clean with upscale appliances. The gated community is very quiet and safe.We had the beautiful pool to ourselves most weekdays. During our month long stay we were able to explore the whole north coast but in the end preferred to stay at the beatiful local beach, Cerro Gordo. Omar was very responsive to our needs and turned out to be a great source of information (getting to Old San Juan by ferry, the rain forest, local restaurants, etc.). Thank you Omar for your help.   I stayed here for a week and loved everything about it. It was close to the beach and in a high-end city of Puerto Rico. Lots of nearby restaurants. The patio was a really nice touch as I was able to invite some friends and have a barbecue. Had full use of the brand new fitness center. Accommodations were very spacious, I would definitely reccommend staying here over a hotel. I am already planning my next trip and will definitely stay here...
