  We had a great time in this wonderful house! Thanx to Katherine and John! Beautiful house, as describe in the ad, clean house, nice shared pool, good bus service, easy access taxis, good restaurants around, lots of things to do. The Manuel Antonio area is a bit pricy but we manage to find good spots around. We had an excellent stay in this house. We recommend it!

  This house and the owner's were great. It was off the beaten path and had everything we needed. A nice porch, pool and the pictures really are accurate. It was in the perfect area, not too expensive and touristy and not a bad area. Thanks John and Katherine!

  We stayed at this beautiful property with our two children (2.5 years old and 8 months old) for 28 days. We have stayed at other rental properties the world over and it is definitely the way to go with younger children, as meal and nap-time really require a home base (restaurants can be especially stressful.) Our hosts provided some critical baby equipment (pack and play, high chair, toys) that would have been prohibitive to transport with us. Our stay at John and Katherine's villa was fabulous! Although we knew some people in the area, our hosts were the best source of accurate information on tours, restaurants, parks, and even where to get the freshest produce and fish. They really went above and beyond the call of duty so many times to ensure that our stay would be memorable. It only took a day to feel at home at the villa. The place was clean, the beds were very comfortable and the house was well setup for short or long stays. We are foodies and the kitchen was well stocked and the grocery stores were accessible and had everything we needed to make gourmet meals. If you love nature and wildlife, this is the place to be. We spotted more animals relaxing on our patio than in any of the parks (squirrel and capuchin monkeys, hummingbirds, toucans, kinkajous, geckos, iguanas, and too many birds to list – bring binoculars!) The pool was great and if you wanted something different, several hotels had happy hours where you could use the pool and enjoy cheap food and drinks. GREAT beaches close by for swimming (with toddlers) and surfing (beginner.) Overall it was an amazing month at this villa and we really didn't want to leave at the end of our trip. We would recommend this property to friends and relatives and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

  We enjoyed very much staying in this very charming little house in the Manuel Antonio jungle. The owners were very devoted in trying to make our stay the most enjoyable and in giving us plenty of great suggestions of things to do around the area. The kids enjoyed the pool and watching the monkeys jump all around the house. The house was super clean and well equiped. We would definitely go back there if we return to Costa Rica.

  I've stayed in rental properties the world over. I love the privacy, affordability, and the "at home" feeling that they offer. That being said, Katharine and John's rental was by far one of the best. The house was beautiful ( we watched monkeys from our porch and slept on the most comfortable bed known to man). The location felt isolated, but was accessible to Manuel Antonio and Quepos easily by bus (for only 50 cents each way). But most importantly, Katharine and John are excellent property managers that totally went above and beyond what was required in terms of service. When our connection was delayed, Katharine arranged for last minute private transport after I frantically emailed her from the airport. She gave me a ride to the grocery store the day after my arrival and helped me purchase a bus ticket when I had to leave early for a conference. None of these things were required of them, and frankly I feel a bit guilty because they shouldn't have been necessary. However, John and Katharine cheerfully helped us out with a smile. I would recommend their property without hesitation. A few tips - Rent a car in Quepos if you want more freedom to see the beaches. Eat at the soda down the street. Relax and enjoy nature on their patio. You'll have a wonderful time. I sure did.

  I stayed at this beautiful house with my 2 girlfriends and we absolutely loved it. Katharine and John were amazing, so nice and had great suggestions on things to do in the area. We felt really comfortable there and actually stayed longer than we had planned! I would (and have) recommend this house to anyone looking for a clean, convenient and comfortable home away from home. So much better than a hotel!

  My husband and I spent our honeymoon at this house for 21 days and loved every moment of it! The house was nestled in the jungle and was peaceful! The master bedroom was spacious and romantic, with a lovely balcony where we spent each morning viewing a variety of wildlife. I have been to Manuel Antonio two times before and saw more wildlife at this house than I have ever seen in the Manuel Antonio Park. The wildlife included toucans, butterflies, whiteface and titi monkeys. The full kitchen and open floor plan made it a great place to cook and entertain. The house included a large and well maintained pool that was perfect to cool down in and private so we could enjoy each other's company. The walk to the bus stop was very short and the best typical Costa Rican restaurant was right across the street. The landlords were wonderful and very accommodating. They gave us fantastic recommendations! I can't wait to go back to Costa Rica. We will definitely stay there when we go back!

  I had an extended stay last winter in this awesome bungalow. The setting is beautiful and the wild life viewing and bird watching is fantastic! We had troupes of white face and spider Monkeys visit us almost everyday! The pool is huge and it's location on the property is perfect for bird watching and soaking up the rays! I highly recommend this rental property-you will not be disappointed!
