July-August Stay at ULLR
July-August Stay at ULLR
The rental unit was great; we were not disappointed by anything--the online pictures did not do justice to this wonderful property. We had our entire family there--four children, their spouses, and six grandchildren--all at Schweitzer for my daughter's wedding. The unit worked perfectly for us: ample space for the children to play, everyone had their own room and bath, and the kitchen/dining area made it so easy to prepare meals, dine, and clean up. The kitchen is extremely well-stocked with dishes, coffee mugs, glasses, utensils, and serving pieces. The only suggestion we have is to provide renters with more than one key to the unit. We would love to return some day.

The place was clean, the main floor had great amount of space / nice comfortable couch / good kitchen setup that really suited our group well. The dishes / glass/plasticware / pots and pans worked out great. The bedrooms and bedding were comfortable and in good shape. The ski room really helped to make sure that people kept their gear (and the leftover snow that came with it) there only and not anywhere else. We decided that we should not let the ping pong table go un-used, so we had a little round-robin tournament. The only critical feedback I have in general is that we were really counting on the shuttle being available from the driveway throughout our trip. From vrbo and based on our conversations, I didn't realize that this wasn't available during the day except Sat-Sun this time of year, and i had repeatedly assured everyone that we would be able to get back and forth with our gear that way. It was fine to walk in street shoes, but not in ski boots with gear. There was part of the time we had no car at all after my brother left and returned it, and when we did have one, waiting around for people to be ready at the same time was a drag. In any case, everyone had a very nice time. We tried to do a diligent job leaving the place clean and washed some of the towels and put them away so there would not be such a big pile for whoever was cleaning.

We had a great time at the Ullr Condo. The house was much larger than we realized and it worked out great. The only problem we had was with the power going out every 15min or so when the hot tub was in use. We had to unplug the hot tub fuse to keep the power from going out in the rest of the house. The beds were comfortable. We would consider staying here again if they assured us the power problem was resolved.

Manager response: We certainly couldn't agree more about the power Cody! An electrician diagnosed and solved the problem in the outdoors electrical panel. Everything is back up and running as it should.
Great house! Perfect for large families.

Fantastic Group Ski Trip
Fantastic Group Ski Trip
This was our 15th annual ski trip for our large group of friends and we had a great time! The lay out is wonderful and all the space with all the beds can really fit a lot of people. We have a lot of couples that go together every year and we always do sleeping arrangements by seniority based on who has been going with us the most number of years and so to find a place that each couple actually has their own private place to sleep is a real plus. The kitchen is a very nice size and has every appliance you could ask for and the pots and pans are good quality and there are many of them, we have stayed in some very expensive places that did not offer such nice quality cookware, it was much appreciated! The master bedroom is quite large. The bar area in the living room is a nice addition. The owner, Chip, is extremely easy to work with and very accomodating!! The shuttle is super quick and when they say they will be there in 2-3 minutes, they will be there in 2-3 minutes. The ping pong table was a lot of fun, too! The only real down fall was the hot tub being inside, but that was better than no hot tub at all. Even not being allowed to use the outdoor patio was ok because it was cold outside so we were able to use it as a cooler for our beverages all weekend and it worked fantastic! :) We truly feel that we have found our new go to place, the price is right, we have enough room, everyone had a great time, it is close enough to home but not too close. We will definitely be back!! Thanks so much Chip!!!

Great Place For Huge Group
Great Place For Huge Group
We are a family of 11 people, ranging from grandparents to 9 year olds. We wanted a giant ski condo for a reasonable price - and got just that. This place isn't the Bellagio - but it worked perfectly for a huge group of skiers and non-skiers. Kitchen was large and well-equipped, ping pong table was a blast, hot tub was fun for kids and adults. The parking arrangement and giant icicles were quickly understood and didn't pose any kind of problems. Overall, a great place if you are looking for a condo very close to the hill, and able to handle a giant group.

Great place for large groups!
Great place for large groups!
With a large group of 12 year old soccer girls playing in Sandpoint, this was awesome. Had plenty of room, bathrooms, etc. Girls were disappointed coach would not let them relax in the hot tub, but it was there if we wanted it! Thank you Chip for a great stay! P.S. Only thing we needed was garbage bags . . . didn't think about bringing our own : (

This property is very spacious and cozy. We loved the layout! Having a separate room for your ski gear is a plus. We would definitely book again! It was a breeze to check in. Couple of things I'd recommend to the property owner:1) each suite sleeps 4 but there were only 2 towels in each bathroom, can you stock more? 2) hot tub area prohibits glass - we couldn't find any plastic glasses, can you stock some of those? 3) lastly, we never could get the 2 gas fireplaces to work... seemed like it wasn't hooked up properly.... thank you

Manager response: We have amended our check in procedure to show the towel closet between suites C and D. The gas fireplaces MUST have both switches in the "on" position. It turned out the MBR switch was touchy and is being replaced. Thank You!

About: We are Sandpoint area locals. Our company Schweitzer/Ullr Lodge owns this unit.
Why Schweitzer Mountain:
Schweitzer is slowly being discovered, but our Beautiful North Idaho location keeps people from finding us. In a recent poll many people couldn't identify where Idaho is located. The skiing here is great, as are the people!
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
Our unit is out of the noisy condo areas and positioned on the mountain so it has privacy and beautiful views. We take the free shuttle to the lifts as they are close. (Not available non-holiday weekdays). Most if not all Schweitzer properties have very little parking for large families, not so at Schweitzer/Ullr Lodge.
