The unit was exactly as described and we were delighted with the location - both in terms of the services and activities within Lahaina as well as a 'base camp' for our daily adventures on Maui. We were able to walk easily to shopping and restaurants and anything not right in Lahaina was only a short drive away.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers.

Well, our stay is coming to an end unfortunately. None of us are happy to be leaving and going back to such a cold winter back home. It's hard leaving such a beautiful place...you're very lucky to have this in your lives all the time. I wanted to thank you and let you know that we enjoyed ourselves and we're already talking about our next trip back. "Maui time" is now our new slogan. We stayed three nights and could not be more pleased. This unit is very clean and well kept. The pictures do not give it justice. You have two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a private balcony to rest on and a full kitchen. The closet was had beach chairs, boogies boards, mats, etc... The owners have thought of everything. We were very pleased. The location is also walking distance from downtown.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS AINA NALU UNIT I-209 Our resort complex, Aina Nalu, is located at 660 Wainee St, Lahaina, HI 96761 1. Agreement: The Owners and Tenants agree as follows: Tenant is over the age of 21 and will be an occupant of the unit during the entire reserved period. Other occupants will be family members, friends, or responsible children. No key codes will be issued to anyone other than the tenant listed on rental agreement. The maximum number of guests per condominium is limited to six (6) persons. This property requires a (3) night minimum stay and longer stays may be required during holiday periods. Rates are subject to change without notice. 2. Pets: No pets allowed. A fee will be assessed if tenants have pets in unit. 3. Smoking: No smoking allowed in the units. A fee will be assessed if tenants smoke in unit. 4. Description of Unit: Aina nalu Unit I-209 is located in the heart of Lahaina town. This unit has 2 bedrooms, 2 baths and is newly renovated, fully furnished with a full kitchen. Unit I-209 has a king bed, queen bed, and a queen sofa sleeper. This unit has TVs, A/C, hair dryers, and a washer/dryer, dishwasher and fridge. 5. Deposits/Payments: An advance payment equal to 50% of the rental rate is due at the time of reservation. The advance payment will be applied toward the room rent. The advance payment is not a damage deposit. The BALANCE OF RENT is due thirty (30) days before your arrival date. If initial reservation is less than (30) days, full amount is due upon reservation. Payment can be made by personal check in U.S. funds, bank money order or cashiers check payable to Coconut Condos. A $35 fee applies to all returned checks. 6. Security Deposit: The security deposit is $200 and is required at the time of final payment in the form of a separate check or money order made payable to Coconut Condos. The deposit is not applied toward rent and it is fully refundable within (14) days of departure provided the following provisions are met: a. No damage is done to unit or its contents, beyond normal wear and tear. b. No charges are incurred due to contraband, pets, or smoking during the stay. c. All debris, rubbish and discards are placed in dumpster, and soiled dishes are placed in the dishwasher and cleaned. One load of laundry is started. d. All keys are left in the lock box and unit is left locked (including the back door). e. All charges accrued during the stay are paid prior to departure. f. No linens/towels are lost or damaged. g. NO Early check-in or late check-out. h. The renter is not evicted by the owner (or representative of the owner), the local law enforcement, or the security company employed by Outrigger. The unit will be inspected and cleaned after your departure. If additional cleaning is required, charges will be deducted from your security deposit. 7. Storage of Food Items: Guests to maintain a clean environment in the unit by not leaving food items out with containers open. Most food items should be kept in the refrigerator to prevent attraction to pests. Food spills, crumbs, etc. should be cleaned promptly. 8. Check-In/Check-Out: Check in is after 3:00 pm HST. Check out time is 11:00 am HST. You are NOT required to check in or out at the front desk. No early check-in or late check-out. If you check out later than 11am, you will be charged for an additional night’s stay. 9. Parking Passes – You are only required to check in at the front desk for a parking permit. If you have a vehicle, you will be charged a $15/day parking fee to park on property. Street parking is first come, first serve at no charge. 10. Cancellations: A thirty (30) day written notice is required for cancellation. Cancellations that are made more than thirty (30) days prior to the arrival date will incur no penalty. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay, that are made within 30 days of the arrival date, forfeit the full advance payment and damage/reservation deposit. Cancellation or early departure does not warrant any refund of rent or deposit. 11. Monthly Reservation Cancellations – Monthly renters must cancel one hundred twenty (120) days prior to check-in. Monthly renters who make a change that results in a shortened stay must be made at least ninety (90) days prior to check-in. 12. No Daily Maid/Maintenance Service: Bed linens and towels are provided. There is no daily housekeeping. A starter supply of bath soap, toilet tissue, and garbage liners will be provided; however, tenant will need to purchase further supplies. This is a privately managed unit and the Outrigger staff at the front desk will not assist you with towels, linens, any supplies or maintenance issues. Please call (808) 419-1000. We have on-island support for any problems. 13. Tenants Liability: Tenant agrees to accept liability for any damages caused to the property by Tenant or Tenant guests, including but not limited to, landscaping, misuse of appliances, and/or equipment furnished. If damages are in excess of the security deposit being held, Tenant agrees to reimburse owners for costs incurred to repair/replace damaged items. 14. Hold Harmless: All units are privately owned. Owners do not assume any liability for any loss, damage, or injury to persons or their personal property. Neither do we accept liability for any inconvenience arising from any temporary defects or stoppage in supply of water, gas, electricity, or plumbing. Nor will owners accept liability for any loss or damage caused by weather conditions, natural disasters, or other reasons beyond its control. 15. Walkways and Common Areas: The Tenant is fully aware that the walkways can be dangerous, that they can be slippery when wet, and that injury is likely to occur to anyone not using caution. Tenants should observe and adhere to all rules and policies as posted at the property. With full knowledge of the above facts and warnings, the undersigned accepts and assumes all risks involved in or related to the use of walkways and common areas. The pool areas are unsupervised and NO LIFEGUARD is on duty. Tenants assume full responsibility while using the pools at aina nalu and will exercise caution at all times. All children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. 16. Additional Terms and Conditions: The undersigned tenant, for himself/herself, his/her heirs, assignors, executors, and administrators, fully releases and discharges actual Owners, Michael & Angela Leone, from any and all claims, demands, and causes of action by reason of injury or whatever nature which has or have occurred, or may occur to the undersigned, or any of his/her guests as a result of, or in connection with the occupancy of the premises and agrees to hold actual Owners free and harmless of any claim or suit arising there from. In any action concerning the rights, duties or liabilities of the parties to this agreement, their Principals, agents, successors or assignees the prevailing party shall be entitled to recover Reasonable attorney fees and costs. 17. Hurricane Policy: No refunds will be given, we recommend you purchase travel insurance.

About the owner: We purchased this condominium as new construction in 2006. Our permanent residence is in Marin County in the San Francisco Bay Area. Michael is an insurance broker and Susan is a homemaker. We were married in Hawaii in 1985 and now have a 20 year old son and a 13 year old daughter. WE LOVE HAWAII - WE LOVE MAUI!
Why the Owner Chose Aina Nalu:
This condominium enables our family to live in Lahaina Towne, which is the site of the old Hawaiian Monarchy and the whaling capital of the early 1800's. We can shop, cook and barbeque without needing a car. There is casual dining, fine dining, art galleries, souvenir shops and an array of eclectic characters all within a few blocks. This resort is close to many historical Hawaiian sites as well as surfing and paddle boarding schools.
