We rent this apartment for short tourist stays in Florence. We normally ask for a minimum stay of one week starting from Saturday but we can rent it also for five, or six days inside a Saturday-to-Saturday week.
See for further details the link at the bottom of the page: we have a Private Website with many photos and details. Please visit it!!
The apartment is located on the mezzanine of a building dating from the first decades of the last century, close to the railway station, between Porta Prato and the Arno river. It faces a private alley, far enough from the traffic to be quiet by night. On the rear side of the building it faces a private and exclusive garden, a real joy for your spring, summer and early autumn evenings: two steps from the kitchen, it will allow you to have a romantic candlelit dinner under a mimosa tree and enjoy a bottle of good Chianti wine after a daily tour of the Renaissance art world.
The apartment offers two bedrooms for two people each, a living/dining room where another one or two people could sleep on a queen-size sofabed, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a wide entrance hall. Some pieces of furniture are quite antique and the whole apartment still has old-fashioned household items (no Ikea items inside it!). Nothing has changed since the first decades of the last century when our beloved uncle Renzo was living in. Obviously we have recently repainted the walls and have taken care of maintenance of installations.

Like spending wonderful days in Florence? My experience in the apartment was wonderful, located and communicated well, a very calm district, and that garden, where to be able to enjoy a dinner comforting the friendly and to rest of the long strolls by the city. In addition the proprietor, taking care of any problem that arises. Recommended for: Age 55+, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children

Great Time in Florence Review Submitted: December 1, 2008 Date of Stay: April 2007 The Magenta Apartment is a great place to stay. The pictures were so true to the apartment. The property was very clean and well maintained. My husband, myself, my parents and my twin daughters stayed their. The surrounding neighbors were very nice. One of the neighbors even made finger puppets for the girls. We loved spending time out in the courtyard and the walk to Florence city center was not to far as well as the walk to the train station. I would highly recommend the Magenta Apartment to friends and family. Recommended for: Families with Young Children

The apartment is in a safe area less than a 10 minute walk from the train station, about 20 minutes to the center of the tourist area, and 5 minutes to the Arno. Grocery store, restaurants, etc. are nearby. It is on the ground floor and what makes it so special is the garden. The place is a little worn, but very comfortable. Paolo is extremely easy to deal with and very responsive.

Oasis in the heart of Florence We stayed at the Magenta apartment the first week of Oct. 2009. We strolled along the Arno, enjoyed warm afternoons in the Piazzas, and visited many of the great treasures of Florence - all within walking distance of the apartment. After long days touring the magnificent city, the apartment was a welcoming "home". We drank delicious wine and ate caprese salads in our private garden. Paolo is wonderful to work with - he is trustworthy, fair and kind. I can't say enough about this experience. It was the perfect location, with all the amenities you expect from a home (clean linens, towels and all the kitchenware to make delicious food). I will definitely visit Florence again, and I will definitely contact Paolo again. We stayed in this lovely apartment for 2 weeks and it was really a treat to come back from walking miles in very rainy, cool weather to a warm comfortable home away from home. We loved the location. It was close to the train station and a short walk to the center of Florence. It was quiet and very well maintained. I loved the garden but the weather only permitted one sunny day in the garden.Paolo made the entire transaction easy and I have recommended this apartment to many of my friends. There were many wonderful restaurants near by and a very cute little grocery store not far from the apartment. We had a wonderful stay in Florence and we enjoyed the apartment. It's perfect for a family, The rooms spacious and the kitchen well stocked. It was too cold to enjoy the outside garden though. The location was quiet, convenient and we had a wonderful week in Florence and touring the surounding areas. Siena was an especially lovely trip. We hope to make it back soon. Recommended for: Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children

Delightful stay in Magenta Apartment The apartment was just delightful and within perfect walking distance of all the places we wanted to visit. Although furnished traditionally, it is spacious and very comfortable and how wonderful to have a small garden as well! Paolo was very helpful and sent us the key in lots of time, along with clear directions. When we arrived the apartment was spotlessly clean, the beds all made up and lots of towels and kitchen linen left for our needs. You can purchase all the supplies you could possibly want in the local supermarket and their wine is excellent! They also keep a good range of cheeses and prosciuto. The area is very quiet and there are some restaurants and pizza places nearby. I have no hesitation in recommending this apartment and we hope to return again ourselves. Thanks Paolo! A Treasure in Florence We stayed in Magenta apartment fro a week in July 2008 on a family trip to Europe. Florence was the highlight of our trip, and the apartment was a big part of making the trip a memorable one. It is located in a quiet area inside the city walls, near the Arno River. We walked to the apartment from the railway station (20 mins) and had no trouble getting in. It is clean, well equipped and furnished, and has the feel of a home rather than an institution. Dealing with Paolo to make the reservation was very easy. We communicated by email, paid by Paypal and he mailed us the keys in plenty of time. The website was informative and described the apartment very clearly. Florence was very hot when we were there, but the apartment was always cool, with its marble floors and high ceilings. The garden was a treat, and we enjoyed having meals and a glass or two of wine under the shade of the tree. We found that the small supermarket just around the corner was able to provide all our needs at prices that were a welcome surprise after Paris. The whole of the old city was within walking distance of the apartment, and we enjoyed the week stolling around the city, visiting the museums and churches, exploring the shops and patronising the restaurants. Highlights for us included the Domo, Uffizi Museum, the Academica, the works of art in the squares and the shops on the Ponte Vecchia. We loved the atmosphere of the town. We were disappointed with the Boboli Gardens: entrance was expensive and the gardens looked run down. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Magenta apartment, and Florence, and have no doubt that we will return to both. Brian
