    La Casita was a very comfortable place to stay during our Spring Break in the Florida Keys. The fact that it was on a canal so close to the ocean was great for fishing and kayaking straight from the back yard. Very easy to find location was and a nice central point to visit many attractions in the area. Quiet location. Comfortable bedrooms with lots of storage. Big kitchen and comfy furniture. Judy was great to deal with and made sure we were comfortable when we arrived.

    Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

    The property description was accurate. The property was very clean, included a well-stocked kitchen and a good location for many attractions. We had good connectivity for the laptop. Very nice back deck that looked toward the ocean. The neighborhod was quiet. I would recommend this property. It is a good value for your dollar. The owner was easy to contact and able to answer all questions. She called the day following our arrival to verify that all was in good order.

    Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing.

    We had a great week at "La Casita" the location was great. The house was clean and well maintained. The owners were great and provided excellent information about the different acitivities, attractions, restaurants and general things to do in the area. We loved the fact that we were able to park the boat right behind the house and the ocean was right there! We also enjoyed doing some fishing from the back of the house and that you are able to clean the fish out there! We would definitely recommend "La Casita" to all our friends.

    La Casita means home away from home....this house truly suits that title. It was clean and fully equipped with all we needed for our 3 week vacation in Marathon. We enjoyed lounging on the back deck on the canal with a view of the ocean. It was a short drive to Sombrero Beach, close to restaurants and lots of attractions to visit. Being in the middle of the Keys made it easy to drive to Key West or up to Key Largo for the day. The owners were very helpful with any needs we may have had. I highly recommend this rental and look forward to a return visit some day.

    This was a wonderful experience. I have made online reservations in the past and have been sorely dispointed. The last place we reserved was in Klamath Lake Oregon and we nik named the place the Bates Motel,after the place in the Movie "Psycho". But this experience however was fantastic. The Home is in great condition and every thing a family could need was there and in great condition as well. We rented a boat for a day at a place near by, and there are plenty of places to do that. We spent that day fishing and enjoying the water, but the best fishing was right outside the "La Casita" off the dock. The owners of the property are very friendly and accomodating. It was a pleasure to work with them and wonderful experience for us.

    The description of the rental was completely accurate however I was pleasantly surprised that the house was larger than it seemed in pictures. The property was clean and well maintained. The owner provided great customer service, in fact went above and beyond my expections. I have already recommended this property to friends. The location is minutes away from great fishing and the neighbors were very friendly and helpful. We found several good resturants close by, our favorite was lazy days. The location was an hour away from Key West, so we sent a day there also finding great food and shopping too. My family and I had a great time, and when I got home to unpack I had all clean clothes thanks to the washer and dryer in the house :)

    We had never been down to the keys before so this was all new to us. We showed up early Friday morning. To our pleasant surprise we were getting a very clean, spacious, full stocked house! We packed tons of food hoping there was a grill outside and there was. Not to mention if we brought a boat we would have had dock space right in front of the patio to the house for easy in and out access. The block was nice, all houses pretty well maintained, neighbors were quite as there were no parties, or crazy town drunks. It is very close to 3 main parks that we went to, also is only about 1.5hrs or less from bottom of keywest (which is a great drive) and about 10 minutes from a nice little beach/city park. Without a boat there is quite a bit to do, they have jet ski rentals close, snorkeling trips, deep sea fishing and day cruises. We were there for 7 days and stayed occupied without a boat.

    The Place was perfect. We used the dock to park the boat right at the house. Very convenient to pull right out of the canal and be just a few minutes from good fishing. We used the grill and pots and pans available to cook some of our catch. The fish cleaning station was perfect for cleaning our catch. The furniture in the property was very comfortable. The permanent neighbors were very nice and helpful. The old man across the canal actually gave me and my sone some live bait that he was not going to use and suggested the happy hour wings and shrimp at Sparky's. FYI, Sparky's has the absolute best Key Lime Pie I have ever had. We enjoyed everything. The washer and dryer worked well. They also have a chest freezer that I used to put bags of ice in and eventually fish that we caught to freeze for travel home. I would give my highest recommendation to Judy and Rene's property. Thanks for making our trip great. We truly did not want to leave, exactly the way a vacation should be.

Our home is just 2 houses from the ocean so you can be just literally minutes from some of the best fishing around. My husband and father-in-law just recently build the fish cleaning station and they practically thought of everything. They positioned it so you are under the shade when you are prepping the fish! Also, we have a new bait freezer for you to store bait and the fish you catch. We wanted our home to have a casual, inviting ambiance so we made sure the furniture was not just pretty, but comfortable. The house is decorated to be tropical, nautical, and very relaxed. After all...you are on vacation! The washer and dryer are right there just outside on the deck so it’s convenient if you need to wash up some clothes. There are both vacationers and long-time residents on our street, and there really are some nice folks who live here. In all, we truly love our home and where it’s located and we hope you do as well. We want you to enjoy your stay and would love to have you come back year after year!

    Where do I begin? Ok, we have stayed in hotels and bed & breakfasts but this little duplex with all these amenities was AMAZING!! Even washer/dryer! What more could ya ask for? We stayed 11 days and the price was great! Lots of lizards, iguanas, coconut trees, fish in the canal along with fish from the nearby fishing spots and snorkeling galore! We even had a rental boat delivered to the dock and were able to use it as we pleased for 7 days. The neighbors were all really great and helpful too! We started calling this our "home" and it felt like it. Tile floors and pretty updated. Kitchen well equipped. Nice outdoor gas grill. One thing I didn't see mentioned was the blow dryer they supplied. That was a plus and less to pack. I hope we can stay again sometime and have already recommended this little casa to our friends and family! My son slept on the queen pullout couch and really liked it. Did I mention it was clean and had nice bedding? Don't change a thing and we hope to return soon! Thanks for the enjoyable stay!!

It is this kind of hospitality and the lovely views that keep people coming to visit in Marathon and our house is centrally located to enjoy what Marathon has to offer.

    We stayed, myself, husband and my son and girlfriend. We all had plenty of room to rest and relax,but mostly we spent our time at the house on the deck, this was my favorite place to be. The evenings are amazing on the deck. We took the boat, and the dockage space was great and worked well for us. The kitchen is a nice space to do what is needed for vacation, we ate all of our meals outside so we never did use the table inside, but is very nice and sturdy. The area was very quite but close enough to get to what ever you want. We would deff. concider coming back next year if available.

    La Casita exceeded my expectations! The house is in a great quiet spot, we watched pelicans diving in the canal, the iguanas on the back deck. The mattresses were especially comfy and I learned to use the stove-top italian espresso maker - I have to get myself one now! The back yard/deck with the lounge chair was my hangout spot - I had sun when I wanted it and shade when I didn't. Sombrero Beach is great! I brought my kayak and while my husband and boys fished their brains out with Marathon Lady I paddled from several different put-in spots (once from the back deck!). I appreciated everything about this house and the communications with the owner were quick and accurate.
