This is our second time coming here, and just like the first time, everything was wonderful. Super clean, everything was in order and ready for us. We could not get over how cool the house was, despite the 90+ degree heat for each of the 3 days we were there. No need to use the fans or anything, it stayed super cool inside. Thanks for a great time once again!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, families with young children.

Clean, comfortable, roomy, definitely eclectic (the comic books were a total hoot). Just the right amount of privacy and accessibility to the park and "downtown" Joshua Tree. Would definitely stay here again. Extremely reasonably priced. David was very pleasant, helpful and prompt in contacting us when the VRBO website would not return our emails or accept our payments. (The VRBO website needs major fixing.) Having our own desert backyard was also fun. Thanks, David.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, families with young children, girls getaway.

We enjoyed a week-long stay at this nice little bungalow. The location is perfect: close to the park entrance and to town. The owner was extremely helpful and quick to reply to any questions we had prior to, and during our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves here, and would gladly stay in this bungalow again if we return to Joshua Tree.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

This bungalow had everything we were looking for. It is conveniently located near the park entrance, very clean, with comfortable sleeps and a fully equipped kitchen. We cooked awesome meals after full days of climbing in J-tree and enjoyed the nice patio for morning yoga practice. We had an amazing time at the bungalow and will for sure come back here on our next trip to Joshua Tree NP!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

If you're looking for a clean, quiet place to stay with easy access to the park, is inexpensive and fun, this fits the bill. Stayed in both bungalows in May 2012 and both were clean and bright, furnished with pride, roomy, colorful, and peaceful. Accurate photos. I would stay there again. Walking distance to 'town' for backpackers (1/2 mi) and on the road to thumb a ride into the park. Shaded back and front patios, brand new gas grill. I never used the TV, mainly read or used the wifi. Slept with windows open. Families with rugrats might not like the painted concrete floors as much as I did, but then the stroller set reads reviews of lodging by Knott's Berry Farm. The concrete floor is great. Owner was helpful, access was easy.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thanks for all the nice comments Kevin. So glad the places worked out so well for you.

My husband and I went to see some tennis at Indian Wells. Of course the entire town and surrounding area was booked and I was contemplating some pretty depressing motels for our accomodations. You can't imagine how happy I was to find the bungalow! Sure, it was a bit of a drive to the tennis garden, but so much better than driving all the way back to LA. We liked it so much we stayed on an extra couple of days. The bed was very comfortable and the bungalow had everything we needed. Never stayed close enough to walk into town and really enjoyed that aspect. We will be back!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

I would highly recommend this bungalow to visitors of Joshua Tree National Park. It's as close to the Park as you can get without camping in it and it's across the street from one of the visitor's centers. The bungalow was very clean, spacious and comfortably furnished. The kitchen had everything needed for breakfast and lunch. You can walk to many of the town's restaurants )I ate out every night and all the restaurants were from above-average to outstanding.) The bed was comfortable and so were the futons. Each room had a space heater that worked fast and was well appreciated at night, and there was plenty of hot water for showers. My only caveat would the driveway - it's hard to get out of because of a dip. I ended up parking on the street, which was no problem since there was little traffic.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Glad to hear everything worked out for you in JT. I took extra care to make sure the futons were comfortable. I know what a hard futon feels like so I added extra foam. It really makes them comfortable. Thanks for staying with us

This place was great! Convenient (located within a few hundred feet of the Joshua Tree National Park information center), quiet (no road noise or barking dogs or noisy neighbors); clean (immaculate), and uncluttered. It was a great base camp for my son and his friend, both 18, and me, as we explored JTNP and surrounding communities. Great wireless internet--all three computers going at the same time as we jotted notes about our adventure. David was a great host and always ready to answer my questions. We will definitely use this property on our next trip out west. BTW, this would be a good place for people with limited mobility---no steps.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.
