The Surf Retreat at Playa Maderas is a private residence located within the Cinco Bahias as development, a small gated community just twenty minutes north of San Juan del Sur by car. Perched high on a hill and overlooking the Pacific Ocean, this 2BR/2.5BA home offers a panoramic view of the coastline and the beaches of Maderas and Marsella. Playa Maderas, a quick two minute drive, is one of the most popular surfing spots in Nicaragua, while both beaches are great places to snorkel, sunbathe, and take quiet walks against golden sunsets. Looking in the other direction from the top of the hill, the twin volcanic peaks of Ometepe Island in Lake Nicaragua are visible.
The Surf Retreat offers approximately 1,250 ft.² of living space and is and decorated with handcrafted furniture, local artwork, and hand thrown pottery. The living/dining area is both spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed to prepare a great meal. Both bedrooms are located upstairs, complete with private baths, air conditioners, and ceiling fans. Each opens up to a balcony with spectacular views of the Pacific. A half bath is located on the first floor just off the living room. Outside, the shared pool area makes for a great place to sit back, relax, and soak in a breathtaking sunset.
The seclusion of The Surf Retreat is part of its unique charm, but a few restaurants and small stores are located nearby for convenience. We also offer a grocery service and will be happy to stock your refrigerator for you if you'd like. The convenience of San Juan del Sur and the tranquility of The Surf Retreat, combined, make this home the perfect choice for your vacation in paradise.
