We rented this home for our family members traveling to Rockport from within Texas and internationally. We had a great group who each commented on how lovely the stay in Rockport was -- and how wonderful this house is! It was perfect for our crew!! Ample space for a family and great decks front and back. The multiple bedrooms and beds within the bedrooms is a perfect fit for multiple guests. We highly recommend this property and would definitely stay here on our next trip to Rockport!

This place fit the bill for the 3 family couples and unattached men in town for our father's memorial service. There were couches aplenty for sitting comfortably in small and large groups for talking. We didn't get to use the decks much due to the weather and that we were focused on inside events. Bedding was good, and we made frequent use of the dishwasher (but not laundry this trip). Pluses were parking (plenty), social space, access to town, good neighborhood for walking, solid Ikea china, mugs and glassware, and ready access to Rockport. Minuses= garage sale quality flatware and cooking utensils. We found all the pots and pans we needed, but were grossed out by the flatware. Thanks, overall experience was good for our family, and that's what counted.
Owner response:Theresa, Thank you so much for your time to write a review. We are happy that our home provided a great place for all of your family members to gather and visit. Thank you for pointing out the flatware issue. We already have bought new sets of Wallace flatware for the house and are replacing all of them next week. Nice talking with you yesterday! Again, Thank you!

We had a wonderful family vacation here and really enjoyed the accommodations - there were ample seating arrangements, sleeping quarters, towels, etc. The owners are friendly and caring and the fact that this is their second home shows through well - it feels homey and comfortable. We went for Super Bowl Sunday and Time Warner was having issues with the local KRIS so we had to watch the Super Bowl on my son-in-laws laptop, which wasn't the best, but that was all on Time Warner and we made the best of that, playing games and eating way too much, even got pizza delivered from a local company and it was fast and delish!! The neighborhood is very friendly, there is an abundance of places to eat, drink and fish very nearby, we found the house clean and ready for us when we arrived, the beds are comfortable (and we have stayed where they are NOT, this is an important mention!!) We never ran out of hot water, another plus!! All in all, we will be back, we had a wonderful time, and we will recommend to anyone looking to stay in Rockport!

My supper club (4 couples) met here for a long, wonderful weekend, and we had a blast. The property is spacious with room enough for everyone. We lounged, cooked, played games, relaxed and were within minutes of any place we wanted to go to for dining, shopping, etc. We happened to be there during the annual Hummingbird Festival and that was amazing as well! I would recommmend this place to anyone wanting an easy get-away holiday...

This beautiful house was perfect for our family. It had all of the necessities for our comfortable stay. It was very open and great for the whole family to hang out and enjoy our stay. The balcony has a great view of Little Bay. From fishing to shopping we where always busy. The community pool was just a short, fun walk away. The owner was very helpful with everything. I plan to return for many more memories.

We had two families staying at the house with teens and pre-teens and had more than enough room for another family to join us! We loved the Coastal decor, large open great room and view of Little Bay. This Key Allegro home is situated within walking distance of the bay, pool and docks. We enjoyed the fishing and shopping and getting together with good friends. There was ample room for our families to cook in the kitchen and grill on the deck as well as dine and relax; we never felt crowded. We would definitely stay here again!

We decided to have a family vacation in Rockport with my children and grandchildren. One of the reasons I chose this house was for the description and pictures. I also had really good communication from the owners in the beginning, which made me feel confident that if we were to have any problems that they would be quick to assist. We couldn't be happier when we arrived!! The house was the perfect set up for my children, their spouses and my grandchildren. There was plenty of space for all of us and the house was clean and inviting as well!! At the time my grandchildren were 3 and 1 and this house was very child friendly!! The beach and cute little stores were less than 5 minutes away from us with was a plus with little ones in tow! I would recommend this house to family and friends. We had a great time and we can't wait to return!!

We stayed at this home last summer. We made it a large family vacation with our children and grandchildren. The rooms and house set-up were perfect for our family and pictures gave us a good idea of what the house would be like and it was very accurate! My grandchildren were 3 and 1 at the time and besides plug protectors and cabinet locks that we brought the house was very appropriate for small children. The house was clean and well maintained and had plenty of space for all of my family. We were less than 5 minutes from the beach and all of the cute little shops. This was very convenient with small kids in tow. We really enjoyed our stay here and can't wait to come back for another visit!!

It is always a little scarey to plan a vacation sight unseen, but I was so pleased with this home for several reasons. It had a wide open living area to cook, dine, relax, play games or watch TV. The extended family could hang out in the central living area and just spend time together or go to a bedroom for more privacy or rest. With small children, I did not want to be too close to the water, but it was an easy walk to the pool or short drive to the beach. There is enough in town to sight see and do other things if you like. The house was clean and well furnished, very comfortable. Also, we love to cook and the kitchen was well furnished. The owners were also very personable and accomodating. It's a winner and we hope to return.

Every year our family holds a 'family reunion' at the Texas Gulf Coast. This year we choose Rockport. Most of the family stayed here, we were 12 with 2 babies, we were accommodated in more ways than one. The first night we had a fish fry for the whole family; the kitchen was fully stocked. The beds comfortable, seating areas wonderful, and we were left with plenty of room to spare. Loved this home...it WAS our home away from home, we will stay here again! The owners were understanding and accommodating of our stay; It's not often that happens!

Great house for large group or multiple families. We recently stayed with our two kids, both sets of grandparents and a sister for 5 nights and never felt crowded. The pools and beach were enjoyed by all. Easy access to surrounding areas with plenty to do.

We had a great time in Rockport. This house is great for a large amount of adults with kids. The downstairs Bunkbed room was perfect for the kids. The upstairs is very roomy and comfortable. We all really felt at home. It is close to the Rockport Beach, Shopping and Fishing. The community pool is just around the corner and the kids had a great time. Thank you for our home away from home. We all had a great time and I hope we can continue the tradition and stay here next year.

Our family (10 adults and 3 children) stayed at the Key Allegro Coast Home and found it to be wonderful. Very spacious, comfortable, and clean. We have rented from VRBO in the past and found this property just as promised, with all amenities listed on the web site available. It was very close to shopping, the beach, fishing, and the pool. I would recommend this house to anyone with a large family that needs lots of space.

I took my dad and another father/son fishing for the weekend. While the fishing was only average, the house was great. We had everything we needed to cook meals, watch college football and get a good nights sleep. There were only 4 of us but the house can easily accomodate 10 guys. Evenings on the deck were very enjoyable with a cocktail and cool breeze. Key Allegro is a very nice community on the water that is also close to HEB, Wal-mart, restaurants and Rockport shopping. We fished out of Woody's in Port A, which only took us 35 minutes to get to. We'll definitely stay here again.
Owner response:Jason, I'm glad you guys had a great time. Thanks for taking the time to write a review. It makes me want to create more time to go down to Rockport to enjoy our place. Take care

"Most importantly, I thought the vacation house representated "great value" with the weekly rate. While there are a some more luxurious places, the sleeping capacity, pleasantness, attractive Key Allegro neighborhood, and excellent upkeep made this house a very nice vacation home for us (seven adults and seven grandchildren). Owner Chris was very helpful in answerring my questions in emails. All the beds and pillows were first class. The bright interior with many windows made it a very pleasant to stay. However, it was a little hard to get organized. The house has plenty of cooking utensils and cleaning supplies, but we had to make numerous trips to H-E-B and Wal-Mart SuperCenter for things like salt shakers, coffee filters, etc. -- little things that are so easy to overlook. From the Google-Earth photos, I expected to have beach access along Bay Shore Drive but there really isn't any. The Rockport Beach is two miles away, is very pretty, is very clean, is virtually waveless, but had a lot of jelly fish. Cost of a beach pass is $4 for one day or $10 per 12 months. However, to swim in the surf, one has to drive about 45 minutes to Port Aransas (or a lot more time when the ferry is backed up). There is a lot to do nearby. The Fulton House, a 1877 Mansion, (http://www.visitfultonmansion.com) is one mile away and worth a visit ($6 adults). There is a free aquarium in Rockport as well; see www.rockportaquarium.com. We had a great time deep sea fishing at Dolphin Docs for only $40 for 4 hours -- see www.dolphindocks.com. We also went to the Aransas Wild Life Refuge, about 40 miles away for gators, spoonbills, 30 turkeys, deer, etc. If you come in winter, don't miss seeing the whooping cranes there but it is worth a summer visit as well; see www.fws.gov/southwest/refuges/texas/aransas. A lot of art galeries in Rockport (an artist colony) and a lively bar-restaurant two blocks away in the marina by the pool. Of course Corpus Christi with the Texas State Aquarium, the Lexington air craft carrier, and a nice science and history museum are all 45 minutes away. Overall, we recommend it to others who are not very interested in waves and surf."

We wanted to do something different this year for our annual summer vacation with friends and family. We usually do theme parks with long lines. But this year we wanted a vacation from all of that and just relax near the beach. We were a total of four families and fit comfortably and perfectly! The house was everything and more that we were lookging for. The beach was so close! We are hoping to make this our annual trip going foward! Thank You Chris!
