Elegant fabrics and antiques mix with family treasures and flea market finds in perfect proportion to create a handsome and charming cottage atmosphere. Hardwood floors throughout and white woodwork complement a classic color palette of greens, blues and yellows. Kewanee House is the third of six lakefront cottages scattered along a dirt access road. There are three houses on the other side of the road as well. Kewanee House is right on the lake, 30 feet from the water's edge.
The spacious first floor contains a game room, kitchen, bedroom, full bathroom, double (650 square feet) living room. A brand new deck (Spring 2004) features a gas grill and large outdoor dining table. Both second floor bedrooms are cooled in the summer by ceiling fans, which provide ample comfort given Kewanee House’s mountaintop lakefront site. |
