You definitely will love this nice and cozy studio within walking distance to the ski lifts and easy access to Keystone shopping area. Rental ski shops, restaurants and convenient stores are also found right downstairs on the 1st floor of the lodge. The studio condo is on the main street that leads to the Keystone ski area, and very easy to find. You can also take a free shuttle to the ski slopes at the front door and free bus service at a nearby Summit Stage bus stop to different areas such as Dillon, Silverthorne, Frisco, Breckenridge, Arapahoe Basin. Guests will enjoy a heated underground garage whose entrance is right behind the building, that keeps your car out of the elements during your stay, and an elevator, also conveniently located in the garage, will bring you directly from the garage to your room on the 2nd floor. Besides the cozy fireplace in the room, guests can also gather in front of a large stone fireplace in the lobby to relax in the evening after spending the whole day of outdoor activity. The lobby has 2 sitting areas. The 1st sitting area is in front of the large stone fireplace. The 2nd sitting area, next to the 1st one, has a big flat screen 50-inch TV with cable that you can also relax in front and enjoy. One advantage compared with staying in a hotel is the possibility of choosing the exact property that you are going to stay at. The total daily cost, all fees and tax included, of staying at our studio will be lower than the cost of your stay in the local hotel room in Keystone and Dillon by at least 15%. This was a very nice, convenient location for a late season ski trip. With the weather during my trip the underground parking was a great amenity. I highly recommend this unit for a couple looking for a few days away in the mountains. The owner was extremely repsonsive and excellent to work with. It's really cute, clean studio, nice location, owner provides good support and help. The cheapest ski rent "Breeze" is in the same building.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with teenagers.

The Breeze Ski rental shop, located on the 1st floor at the Gateway Lodge, often offers 25% discount for guests making online reservations or just let them know that you stay at the lodge when you are there. The 25% discount is regularly printed on their business cards that are available for guests to pick up in the lobby.

I had previously rented another unit in this complex and this one was heads and shoulders above the other. Everything seemed very well maintained. Newer carpet, nice linens, comfortable bed etc. I look forward to returning here again and have already recommended this unit to my friends and family. The owner was always quick to respond to my endless questions prior to the trip and the photos are very accurate as we had no surprises. I and my wife spent a week at this studio during our ski vacation. We were very pleased with this unit: it was larger than we expected, was nicely furnished, clean, and had all the amenities as advertised. The most pleasant feature was the owner's responsiveness. He answered all our mails promptly providing us with all the information we requested. It made us feel very securely. We would have no hesitation in recommending this studio to prospective future guests.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+.

I recently stayed at this property with a friend for a last minute weekend getaway. The owners replied promptly to all inquiries, the rental process was the easiest I've experienced on VRBO and the security deposit was returned promptly. Upon arrival, the property was clean and met all criteria as listed on the website. The location provided easy access to skiing and also other activities in Keystone. I would definitely recommend this property for small groups looking for a nice, affordable stay.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

My husband and I recently stayed here for a weekend get-away from Denver, and we enjoyed the entire experience. The owners were prompt in responding to all emails preparing for the trip, and the condo was just as promised. It was right at the base of the slopes, and close to everything in Keystone. Only minutes drive to Dillon and maybe 20 minutes to Breckenridge. The condo could have easily slept 4 (or more), but was perfect for the two of us. I think we got a great deal on it, and our deposit was promptly refunded to us after the trip. We'll be returning!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Why the Owner Chose Gateway Mountain Lodge:
Gateway Mountain Lodge is close to everything from ski lifts to restaurants. You can walk to the gondola, Argentine and Peru lifts or choose to take a free shuttle that picks you up right at the front door. I have been skiing at Breckenridge, Vail, Beaver Creek, but I still love Keystone since it is near Denver and it has excellent and challenging ski runs for all levels. Moreover, it is the closest accommodation to Arapahoe Basin. For those who love shopping, the outlet stores at Silverthorne are nearby. Oops, did I forget to mention the night skiing at Keystone? Keystone is the only place that offers night skiing. Night skiing is fun. To enjoy the night skiing, you need to pick a day where it's not windy and not too cold.
