We are coming to the end of our week here at Portofino, and it has been nothing short of spectacular! The condo is plush, with everything necessary to ensure an enjoyable stay. With two bedrooms facing the gulf, it was the perfect arrangement for two 50+ couples. The beach has plenty of room to spread out, and is so much less crowded than Destin. The staff at Portofino are friendly and helpful. Thank you, Nick and Tina, for sharing your place with us. We hope to come back again next year - maybe spring and fall!

This place was remarkable!! What a beautiful condo! Immaculate, beautifully decorated, with breathtaking views of the gulf!! Our daughter graduated from a local Pensacola college, and we turned the trip into a family vacation on the beach. We stayed for a week and didn't want to leave!! We will definitely be back to this condo! Thank you so much Nick and Tina for an unforgettable family vacation! We will highly recommend your place to anyone we know wanting to go to Pensacola Beach!

The VRBO Condo at Portofino was exactly what we expected. In September of last year, we stayed at Portofino in a condo just like the VRBO Condo. We went directly through the Resort and paid a lot more for the exact same experience. The experience of Portofino is top notch. The resort staff pampers you and I highly recommend the spa for a massage. The two bedroom condos are absolutely beautiful and exactly as advertised. The owner was so easy to work with and the registration process was very simple. With a full service condo, it is so nice to make your own breakfast, pack a lunch for the beach, then decide whether to cook dinner for yourself or go out to dinner. We chose the latter every night and the local restaurants are great. I would highly recommend Peg Leg Pete's for great seafood and Macguire's Irish Pub for great steaks. Pensacola Beach has quickly become my favorite beach. If you are looking for a great relaxing vacation for a reasonable price, this is the ticket.

The condo was gorgeous - the resort was excellent - the beach was spectacular. The owner was very helpful and accommodating. This was my first time renting and he kindly walked me through the process and answered all of my questions. We took advantage of the resort's additional amenities (bikes, surf boards, paddle boards, kayaks, etc.) and would recommend paying for the deluxe family package if you are interested in using these frequently -.it's a great deal. We also went on the resort's Blue Angels cruise which I also recommend. On our way back from a private viewing of the Blue Angels naval air show practice (incredible) we saw dolphin pods that included baby dolphins! The weather was great: about 80 to 85 all week with only one day of rain. I would definitely recommend staying at this resort and in this condo again. My sons and husband and I absolutely loved it.

My friend and I had a wonderful time at Portofino and this condo. The accommodation was fabulous. We rented kayaks and scooters. We loved being next to the National Seashore. We used our tower's pool, but really enjoyed the larger pool where the food and drinks were available. The white peach sangria was delectable.

My wife and I have been staying in Navarre Beach for the past 12 years. This year we decided to try Pesacola FL. We stayed at this property and really loved it. The condo was spacious, clean, very nicely decorated, has a well equipped kitchen and has a "killer" view of the Gulf and Sound. We had assigned parking indoors which was also great. This condo is in a resort so you get many more services like a couple of outdoor lounges, restaurants on site, several swimming pools and a very nice workout room. I come to bike. So when I am biking to Navarre Beach and back, my wife went to the exercise room. Very convenient to other restaurants and attractions yet is quiet and peaceful. We plan to come back.

We had a wonderful escape from "winter" at Portofino. The resort is beautiful, the condo was exceptional in location, size, furnishings, and provision of everything we needed for a wonderful vacation. The view was awesome! We enjoyed waking up to the beauty of the bright white sand beach. The convenience of crossing the road to walk on the beach, or a brief walk to Santa Rosa Sound was great. The Portofino employees we interacted with were extremely friendly and helpful when needed. We will definitely return to this escape from winter.

Dec 27 thru Jan 1. This unit was by far the best one I have ever seen. It had everything you need from utensils to grill items. The staff there was top notch. The grounds perfectly groomed. Perfect sunsets from the balcony. Owners were just great to work with. Only down side was had to leave my motorcycle parked outside by the gate (on the grounds) but fully understand why. Unless you want to there is no need to leave the grounds. Highly recomennd!!

This condo and the amenities of the Portofino Resort are amazing. We (my three sisters and I) decided to make the most of our neice's wedding in Pensacola Beach by treating ouselves to a week at the beach. We spent the first week of November at the condo, and the weather was very pleasant, with air temperature was in the low 70s most days. Views of the Gulf and white sandy beaches were great from the 19th floor. The rooms were nicely decorated. We were given 2 parking spaces in the condo, and local visitors were provided outdoor spaces free of charge. We really loved the exercise facilities, steam room, and jacuzzi, which are also free to guests. The owners of the condo were very responsive, but everything went so smoothly, we didn't need to contact them for anything. Would definitely plan to rent from them again if we return to Pensacola Beach. We had a truly wonderful, relaxing week.

We want to thank you for allowing us to stay/rent your condo in Pensacola. It is everything that is advertised and more. The views are million dollar views. Beds were very comfortable. Furnishings were as needed for a beach stay. We didn't do a lot of cooking, but what we did, there was utensils for that. Check in and check out was a breeze. Portofino facilities were wonderful too. Pools could not have been nicer. We were treated with respect by everyone connected. Weather could not have been better. There wasn't a bad day during the stay, except for having to leave. Pensacola has grown quite a bit since my last stay. Most of the good stuff is still there, with some new good restaurants.

We absolutely LOVED our vacation at this condo. The descriptions in the listing don't even really do it justice. This property was spacious enough for our family of five, very clean. We have stayed at various places on the gulf coast from Orange Beach to Fort Walton and this was, by far, our favorite. We are morning coffee drinkers and enjoyed our early mornings sitting on the balcony, as it is shaded in the morning. We have 3 boys and we all loved the pools and the beaches. Easy access to all. We would definitely recommend this property.

We had a wonderful time at your property. It was clean and nicely appointed. Nick was friendly, helpful and spoke truthfully about the property. The photos accurately reflected the 19th floor condo. We would not only recommend this property, we will return again. We purchased and left beach umbrellas, chairs and sand toys for other guests to use. (Some were left in the 18th floor condo) I hope others will be considerate in leaving them for others to use as daily rentals of beach equipment is pricey.

The owner was very pleasant and easy to deal with. We felt this unit was spacious, very clean and well maintained. Also, we truely enjoyed the view of the Gulf and beach from the well appointed balcony. The early morning cruise on the bay to watch the Blue Angels practice is well worth the cost. We heartily recommend the Fish House in Pensacola and Peg Leg Pete's. We certainly hope to return in the future.

My husband and I took our two daughters (7 and 4) to Portofino in August for our family vacation. It was our first trip to Pensacola Beach. When we walked into the condo, we were SO impressed. The place is just beautiful, and the views are amazing! The pictures we saw didn't even begin to capture just how nice it really is. We were so comfortable, and had everything that we needed. With two young children, we were exhausted by about 4:00, we prepared most of our meals at the condo. The kitchen had everything I could possibly need, which is something I didn't expect from previous experiences at other places. It really felt like home away from home. We rotated between the beach, the pool at our unit, and the main pool. It was nice to have different options. We ate at the main pool a few times, and the food was great. Nick was so friendly, and made the process so easy. It was the first time I had ever rented directly from the owner, and was so pleased with the experience. I can't wait to vacation here again, and highly recommend it.

We ( my wife, daughter, a friend and myself ) spent a relaxing week mid of August in this beautiful condo in Pensacola Beach. Great location, great resort, very nicely furnished condo with all amenities and a spectacular view of the Gulf. The beach was immaculate, the water very clean. We watched dolphins from the balcony and were accompanied by a sea turtle while swimming. Since Portofino is the last development going east, it only takes a few steps to have the pristine beach for yourself - for miles and miles. On the other hand it only takes a few minutes' drive to get to shops and restaurants and the boardwalk. Perfect location for a beach getaway and definitely a place to come back to ! My compliments and thanks to Tina and Nick.

I took a trip to Pensacola Beach and stayed at the Portofino Island Resort & Spa, Tower 3 (closest to the beach). It was beautiful! This 2BR condo was wonderfully appointed and well cared for, with a wonderful view of the gulf from any room, and had a huge private balcony with a grill. The unit is gorgeous - it looks like it was decorated straight from the pages of Mediterranean Living. No detail was overlooked. Portofino is an absolutely stunning resort - the best rentals in the Pensacola Beach area. I like that the resort is gated - it was peaceful and quiet. The pool and common areas were clean and well maintained. The spa was amazing, and the work out facilities were excellent. The indoor pool came in handy during one of the not-so-great weather days, and the dining on-premises was out of this world. The resort is further down from the hustle and bustle of the tourist area, so it's quiet, yet not too far from civilization. The shops and restaurants are just a short drive away. If you're at the boardwalk, you can see the towers of Portofino I looked at a couple of the other units at Portofino, and they weren't nearly as nicely appointed as this one. I will definitely return to Portofino on my next trip to Pensacola Beach.

Nick & Tina have done a wonderful job taking care of the details, & have maintained it more like a home than a rental. It is beautifully decorated and very clean, and the view of the gulf & bay from the deck is breathtaking! Porofino is a luxurious resort with a very friendly & helpful staff. It is a great vacation location to get away from it all, and yet have plenty to do right there at the resort. We would highly recommend it!!!

The unit was placed perfect in tower 3 - with good afternoon sun, perfect view and close to the small pool and beach. We were 2 adult and 3 kids but the unit doesn't have beds for more than 4 people. We also missed extra linen as our teenager didn't like sharing the linen with his younger sister ;-) Remember to bring soap for the washing machine and dishwasher as well as garbage bags. All things we expected to be included - especially since its required that you wash towels and linen before departure? But besides this we enjoyed our stay very much.

Very nice condo with everything you need for a great relaxing week. Portofino provides a great deal of activities and the resort staff is very friendly. The pools were nice and the beach was perfect. Only suggestion for improvement is to improve the maintenance of the elevators -- one of which did not operate correctly off and on throughout the week. I"d highly recommend a trip to the National Naval Aviation Museum at the relatively nearby Pensacola Naval Air Station.

The pictures do not do this unit justice!! This place was so perfect for our stay in so many ways. Since there were just the 4 of us it was fabulous in every respect. The kitchen layout and utensils met all our needs right down to the corkscrew which allowed us to cook a few nights.. The rooms were welcoming and one felt as if it was your own piece of heaven whether you were in the dining room at the huge table, or just reading in one of the chairs in the bedrooms or on the veranda. Things everywhere were spotless. We found some time to enjoy the amenities at the Portifino that were offered; everything from the fitness center, steam rooms, pool, hot tub to the nightly specials at the Terracotta Grill Happy Hour. Staff were so friendly and helpful making us feel like we stayed here frequently. My personal fuzzy was the views that came with the unit; they were breathtaking!!! I could not get enough of them regardless of what the weather was or the time of day! Nick and his wife were gracious, helpful and patient with me. There is so much more to see than our 4 day stay allowed so, Nick, you can expect us back real soon! Thanks so much for sharing your little piece of paradise with us. Respectfully, Dawn L.

Hit the jackpot with this one. Perfect late October weather. Condo was as good as it gets. View of both gulf and intercoastal was nice as you had the lights of Pensacola with the intercoastal view at night. You have to experience looking out at the Gulf from 18 stories up. Completely different from lower floor view. I higly recommend it! Clay tennis courts were awesome. Same with fitness center, Bar n Grill(right next to the pool). The pool and hot tub at our tower was great and we used it alot. And the beach was fantastic w/crystal clear water and sugar white sand. like being in the carribean only nicer sand.

The unit was spotless. Nick (owner) could not have been nicer. Have been to Portofino numerous times, but, never have any owners or management company taken the extra step to make you feel at home. Most rush you and could care less about their tenants other than collecting $. Not Mr. Athens'. Very hospitable and easy to contact if needed. Due to the horrid weather, did not get any beach time. However, glad we had such a great place to relax and enjoy beautiful views. Already planning our next visit. Thanks bunches!

We could even see the sea turtles swimming in the surf from the balcony! The resort is first class with all the amenities you can imagine and a lot of things to keep the kids busy. Especially enjoyed the evening children's movies in the common pool area. Entire staff was friendly, professional, and willing to assist in any manner possible. Our condo at Portofino resort was beautifully decorated, had a wonderful view of both the ocean and lake, and a great floor plan. The resort pools and ammenities were excellent as well. I felt very safe there. We went at a time of oil spill warnings but never saw the first tar ball or oil in the ocean. Beaches were very clean. Nick Athens is very good to deal with. The condo was everything the that Nick said it would be. It was clean, well stocked, and had a great view. We were comfortable and my family had a great time. I would happily recommned this property to anyone looking for a great pace to stay at Pensacola Beach.
