Our spectacular view of the Gulf of Mexico and 3 lagoon style pools can be seen through floor to ceiling windows in the master suite, living room (55 inch LED HDTV coming in December!!!), dining room and kitchen! Our spacious privately owned 2 bedroom 2.5 bathroom condo has two private balconies for you to enjoy. Beautifully decorated and furnished with a Beach style theme, this condo is equipped with everything you will need to have a wonderful and memorable short or long vacation. This two story unit has hard-tiled floors throughout all rooms except carpet in upstairs bedrooms.

Our utility room (w/Washer and Dryer) are located inside the condo and all linen is furnished - we even supply the beach towels!! We have this home set up for the short get away or long stay and we would be happy to share with you our many favorite restaurants, local activities, shopping spots, places to catch the best sunsets, fishing spots, and other places to make this a memorable stay.

Rest Ashore is located at the Mayan Princess Resort. The resort has a mid-island location that offers more privacy, with no large resorts nearby. We are located on the 18 mile drive-on beach, near Padre Island National Seashore, two golf courses: Arnold Palmer design Newport Dunes Golf Club, and Padre Isles Country Club. You are a quick drive to both Port Aransas (10 min) and Corpus Christi (15 min).

Our family of 4 adults and 2 grandchildren spent several days at this wonderful condo last fall! We highly recommend it for being clean, updated, close to everything not to mention the beautiful beach scenery from the condo and its large balcony! The owners made us feel so welcome and were most helpful as we planned our trip to stay there. They gave wonderful suggestions of where to eat and visit while in the area even though our daughter-in-law was familitar with the whole Port Aransas area. The boardwalk to the beach was great and so close that any of the family could run back and get something at the condo quickly! Since we were there in the fall, we had the pools and beach mostly to ourselves!! What a fun time! Hope you will make reservations to stay here very soon!! You'll love it! Don't forget to get up early and go to the Port Aransas Marina and meet the shrimp boat to buy some for dinner or take home!! Surf-fishing right out front of condo is great too!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We spent a week here after Christmas--what a beautiful location! This particular unit is the choicest spot in the entire Mayan Princess as it is dead center middle overlooking the resort pools and landscaping. It is high enough to see the beach, yet low enough that you feel close to the action. There are few lodgings on Mustang Island that are this close to the beach, much less having a view of both the beach and the beautiful pools, which are without peer compared with other resorts. The condo has two stories, so the MBr has its own balcony above the LR balcony, enabling even couples with teens/young adults to have some much needed privacy. With the exception of several mornings of dense fog-- to be expected in winter-- the view was spectacular 24 hours a day, with both sunrise and moonrise over the waves. At night, past the beautifully lit pools, the illuminated boardwalk zig-zags across the dune to the beach, inviting strollers the beach. The condo itself has everything needed to make guests feel at home: a nicely stocked kitchen including basic spices; water filtration pitchers await those who are used to filtered water and or need to fill baby bottles (we filtered all the kitchen water, even though it tasted fine); pool toys, a wagon, games for gradeschoolers, and a nice flat screen provide entertainment. Internet connection speeds were s-l-o-w, so until the Mayan upgrades its wifi, plan alternate entertainment such as cable channels, which worked fine, or use the DVD player. (The Mayan lobby has a selection of movies for guests to borrow.) The condo has a full-sized washer and dryer and 2.5 baths with a massive, double-wide garden tub in the upstairs main bathroom. It was such a hit with my crew! (If you have little ones, this is the *perfect* tub for Playmobil's motorboats.) The second bedroom was small but very serviceable with a nice queen bed and its own private bath. The living room has a sleeper sofa, but it is long enough and comfortable enough to sleep on, and a twin air mattress is available as well. All throughout the unit, the furnishings were lovely and restful, and all linens (except beach towels which we brought) were amply provided. It is about 20 minutes to south Corpus, 30 minutes to downtown attractions and 8 minutes to Port A...close to amenities, but less crowded beaches than other areas.
