This lovely ocean view home has 4 bedrooms which includes 2 master suites and a total of 3 bathrooms. It has been completely repainted and refurnished. Each Master has its own sitting area for a little quiet time and there is another sitting area just off the living area. The living area boasts a 50' Flat screen TV. There are also flat screen tvs in 3 of the 4 bedrooms. One of the bathrooms even has an old fashioned claw foot tub perfect for a long luxurious soak.
The dining area has a wonderful table that will seat 8. The beach access is just across the street. This is the perfect house for an incredible and memorable Folly Beach Vacation.

Overall, I was extremely pleased with the accomodations. We had 4 adults and 3 children with plenty of room to spare. Even enjoyed the big back yard. Working with Charles was a pleasure. He was extremely responsive. We love the Charleston area. The house is located across the street from the ocean....where we were able to take the kids to pick shells (weather was too cold to swim) and watch the sunsets. I also enjoyed long runs along the beach. I highly recommend. Thanks again Charles! You have a wonderful place.Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

We really enjoyed the house and especially the front porch. Well within walking distance of our favorite restaurants in Folly, close to the pier, and easy access to the beach. Outside shower, nice upstairs, excellent kitchen. Very nice!Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

This house is a hidden gem. There are enough tucked away places to relax so that even when vacationing with a crowd you are able to find some private time to unwind. The upstairs suite is great, especially if you have older kids. There is a pretty inside spiral staircase leading to the suite, or an external entrance next to an outside shower that is perfect for cleaning up before tracking in the sand. The location is perfect and within just a few blocks of downtown Folly. Folly has the perfect blend of local charm, great food, and a fun music scene. We could not have been happier with our stay. I wish we were on the deck now looking out at the ocean and listening to the waves.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

Every year we try to find a great place to go and relax and enjoy our vacation. We found that place at Charles and Mia's beach home in Folly Beach. The house was set up so everyone can enjoy the house inside and out and also have your private times. Every close to the beach and to down town Folly Beach where we enjoyed some relaxing down to earth resturants and bars. House had everything you need to kick back and relax. And the added bonus , you are just 20-25 short min away from downtown Charleston where we had a great time visiting the city and all it has to offer. We will be back often and hopefully be able to stay here again. We fell in love with the area and the people who live there year round. Again THANK YOU for allowing us to stay and enjoy your beautiful home on Folly Beach Island.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

This is a well taken care of 4 bedroom house across the street from the beach. We stayed here for a week with 8 family members for a beach wedding. We found everything in good order and very clean. The house is located about 5 blocks from restaurants so it is within walking distance. We would certainly stay here again if we are back in the Folly Beach area.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Fantastic home right on the beach. Very clean and comfortable. Upstairs suite, in particular, is updated and modern. Rest of home has classic beach cottage charm. The piece de resistance is the large deck with ocean views. This was a return trip for our family and I think that says it all! We so love this property! You feel like you're home as you pull in the driveway. We love that it has beach access so close. We love to sit on the deck in the evening and listen to the waves and feel the gentle breeze. Year Purchased: 1948
About the owner: Our beach home has been in our family for decades. We grew up in the Charleston area. My Mom first purchased the unit as beach rental property, then retired in the home in the mid 1990's. I am the second generation owner. Please enjoy our home with your family and friends.
Why the Owner Chose Private Homes:
My Mom purchased this property in 1948 as a single, twenty year old based on the recommendations of her Pastor. Reverend Pridgen had purchased a beach front home five lots away and felt this would be a great investment. I grew up changing the sheets and mowing the grass every Saturday morning in the summer. My mom rented the home for $75 per week.
