Beautiful, tropical, Florida house with large pool in full sun, we also just added a pool heater. (if pool heater is being used, there is an additional fee for $100 per week)
10 min bike ride to the beach and 5 min walking to large grocery store ( Publix ).
The house is renovated in contemporary style but with Florida charm,
open floor plan, the first bathroom with subway tile and rain shower head in over sized shower, the 2nd in original Florida style with tub,
comfortable queen size beds in both bedrooms.
Hickory wood floors throughout the whole house, open kitchen with concrete counter and stainless steel appliances, dining room with view of tropical back yard and pool, koi pond and huge Chicago brick pool deck with gas grill.
Large L shaped living room with queen size sleeper couch
mix of contemporary and Indonesian furnishings, low voltage lighting on dimmers.
Views of tropical landscaping in the front and very private fenced back yard and pool from back part of the house.

This was the very first time i had rented from vrbo and i would definitely do it again. the photos on website do not do justice to this property; it is very nice. it was very clean, well maintained and updated. the owners were great to work with; very infomative. being there were 4 adults and an 8 month old baby, the accomodations had everything we needed. we enjoyed it so much, we made most of our meals and hung out in the pool most of the time. the location of the house was perfect; close to food mart which was actually just around the corner from the house. very nice quiet neighborhood; felt very safe. i would definitely stay here again and would strongly recommend to others travelling to florida. we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. thanks to the owners for everything. hopefully, we will be back!!!Recommended for: People with disabilities, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+.

After an initial hiccup in getting the keys from the property mgr when we arrived, my husband and I and our 2 young children (3 and 1 yrs old) enjoyed relaxing in this tastefully renovated and decorated home w/ gorgeous backyard w/ heated pool and koi pond. We stayed for a week before the Christmas holidays for an intimate family vacation and we're so thankful that we chose this rental home. It suited our needs perfectly - open living space, everything on one floor, 2 full baths - one off the master bdrm and one just outside of the 2nd bdrm. Lots of lighting w/ dimmers which we made full use of as the evening came and we're trying to get the kids ready for bed. The owner was also wonderfully accomodating and secured a pack and play for us prior to our arrival. We ended up setting it up in a far corner of the living room and our 1 year old slept soundly through the night there. When I was inquiring about the house, the owner also checked the lock situation for the doors leading to the backyard and pool and confirmed that the door that leads directly is secured with a lock and key so young kids can't get outside on their own. This was our first time renting a house w/pool because we've had safety concerns and this set up was reassuring - in practice it worked out really well - our kids loved the pool and loved playing on the patio in the backyard and admiring the koi, but they never went out unsupervised. The backyard was lovely day & night - patio for the kids to play while we sat and had coffee and read the paper, dinner made on the gas grill and eaten at the patio dining table, swimming throughout the day - always comfortable because the pool is heated and perfectly shaded by palm trees, also beautiful lighting for the trees/plants and the pool. If you need a place to stay in Ft Lauderdale, would highly recommend this home. The photos are representative. Just be aware that the surrounding neighborhood is a bit economically depressed with some foreclosed homes nearby. But perfectly safe for us to walk back & forth to the Publix that's a few blocks away. A few minor recommendations: would have a few more basics for kitchen & bath, e.g. cooking oil, pans for oven, bath soap, shampoo, beach towels and beach umbrella. Did appreciate that there are lots of extra linens. Also, a handout w/some written info about the house and surrounding area - incl. wifi password, trash & recycling (they take care of it), restaurant and activities recs would be helpful.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+.

My pregnant wife and I took a long weekend from NYC and flew down to see friends and family. We often prefer not to stay at a hotel and this time was no exception. The private, heated outdoor pool and patio was great, and the inside was tastefully decorated, clean and very comfortable. The rain shower was amazing with so much water pressure, we miss it already! Thanks again for a wonderful stay Stephan, it was truly a nice treat for a last minute get away.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, age 55+.

Very nice house, beautiful heated pool and huge back yard area, owners were very accommodating ( we needed an early check in ) and very helpful with everything. We loved the location, 5 min walk to a grocery store and close to the beach. Definitely coming back!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, age 55+.

This house was absolutely stunning. My stay here was awesome. The pool along with the gardens and koi pond was just beautiful. A great getaway house close to the beach and shopping areas. :)Recommended for: People with disabilities, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, age 55+.

Why the Owner Chose Poinsettia Heights:
This property was my first in Florida and I stayed there myself for 12 yrs.
I chose to buy this property because of it's close proximity to the beach and I saw potential to turn this into the perfect blend of 'Old Florida' with modern amenities.
This house under went a major renovation including adding a full size, heated pool.
I lived in several properties after that but
still love and miss this house.
