This spacious 1,700 sq. ft, 3-bedroom/2 bath Penthouse unit, is located on the top floor (11th floor) of Sterling Shores. You cannot beat the view from this unit!

Besides being on the top floor, Penthouse 12 also has the best views in the complex because it sits out from the rest of the building and is centrally located. The ceiling of the unit is vaulted, including the balcony that above the balcony (see photos)-- providing a limitless view. No one is above you, creating a sense of openness. With your rental you receive use of our COVERED GARAGE PARKING SPACE for no extra charge, making your car easily accessible and out of the elements.
This unit has been recently updated with new furniture, tile, carpet, paint and bedding, including a new master bed. There is a Master with King bed, a second bedroom with a Queen bed, and a third bedroom with bunks that sleep three!
Once you've finished enjoying a day at the beach or one of our TWO POOLS, kick back in our comfy sofas and watch your videos or DVD's (DVD movie rentals available at Sterling Shores) on the large 42-INCH FLAT SCREEN TV. Each bedroom also has a TV with a DVD and VHS. There is also an in-house movie theater (where you can use your own movies!) and seasonal children's programs.
The extra large kitchen gives you plenty of room to move around. Then, enjoy watching the sunset with after dinner drinks from the oversized balcony!
Sterling Shores is located right next to three great Restaurants: Ruth's Chris Steak House, The Back Porch Seafood and Oyster Bar (a Destin favorite) and Grazie's Italian Restaurant. No where else in Destin do you have this type of walking access. A BRAND NEW addition to the area is the countries largest candy store! The Candymaker candy store is right next to Sterling Shores and includes a coffee shop, a yogurt shop, a gift shop, and some of the best candy you've ever eaten!

Owner Description
Hi! Thank you for visiting our VRBO page! We bought this unit in 2005 and love the area, the view, and the location in the building. We looked at many units before we found this one, and are we glad we did. It has the perfect location in the building -- hands down -- right smack dab in the middle. The view is unbelievable. When you walk in the unit and look out the huge tall glass doors you will know exactly what we mean. We love the spaciousness of this unit, and the grandness you feel when you walk in due to the high ceilings. It is bright and yet warm, and being on the top floor you do not have neighbors to worry about making noise from above. The balcony is extremely spacious and safe for small children. We come here as often as we can, and take great care of our unit. We hope you will choose to enjoy it as much as we do!
Why the Owner Chose Sterling Shores
We immediately loved Sterling Shores because of it's general beauty. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with loads of palm trees (we love palm trees) and they keep it immaculate.
Besides the beauty, we love that everything is so close. We are VERY close to grocery stores, Walmart, and the Destin Commons shopping mall.
The pools in this complex are GREAT! the Lagoon pool is extra large and has a more shallow area for smaller children. There is plenty of space in the pool, and also around it for sun bathing. Within this pool area there is also a grill, so you can cook up your steaks and eat them poolside or take them back up to the unit and eat on the balcony!
The beachside pool is smaller, but is right next to the hamburger bar/tiki hut. A great place to "regroup" after being on the beach for a few hours!
We LOVE the hamburger bar and it serves the BEST hamburgers, as well as hot dogs, smoothies, nachos, ice cream, etc. You can order directly from the beach side, or from the private patio/pool area.
The Back Porch restaurant is right next to our beach, and you can order drinks directly from the backside bar, or take a lunch break and go in with your bathing suit. Extra fun!
Sterling Shores also has a movie theater than guest can rent and they provide popcorn and take care of all putting it all together for you and your guests. A great way for families to enjoy and evening at the movies! We love doing that.
During the summer, there are daily activities for the kids. When we first bought the unit, our son was younger and really enjoyed many of these activities!
There is also a very nice workout room available to guests.
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
The newest addition to this area is the Candymaker candy store! This is so much fun for all ages! We were so excited that there is a coffee shop right in the candy store, and you can enjoy your coffee on the outside deck or inside in the booths. The candy shop is huge, and also offers frozen yogurt, gifts, and excellent toffee and pralines (amongst so many other nummies!)
We also love that the TRACK amusement center is right across the road, with miniature golf, arcade, bungies, bumper cars, and a wooden race track which is a lot of fun.
As a guest of Sterling Shores, you can call ahead to the Back Porch restaurant, which is located right across the road, and make reservations...just let them know that you are staying at Sterling Shores.
You can also receive priority tee-times at the Plantation Golf Club as a guest from Sterling Shores.
And,very importantly, there is very EASY access across busy Hwy 98, due to a designated traffic light -- which most complexes do not offer.
There are so many wonderful reasons to stay at Sterling Shores Penthouse 12!

This condo is very elegantly decorated with top of the line furniture and accessories. The location is superb, the beach is close (even closer than pictures appear), the pool is fabulous. I have been to Destin MANY times and this is by far the best place I have ever stayed. We plan on returning next year!

Very clean, wonderful view, close to beach and pools. Our family had a great time staying at the condo and ammy the owner was very good to work with and everything was just as she said it would be. I would recommend this unit and you will like the location of the condo to the beach restuarnts and other family recreation . We did and can't wait to go back next year.

Our family had a wonderful vacation at your condo. It is gorgeous and the view is amazing. The kids even sat out on the deck one morning and saw whales. We loved it and would use it again. The grounds are as beautiful and we would definately use your condo again.

This was my family's second stay in the Sea Forever. This condo is beautiful and a great value for what you get. The location is superb and within easy access of local shopping and dining right in the heart of Destin. We loved sitting on the beach at night enjoying a fresh beverage from the Back Porch bar while the kids hunted for sand crabs. The restaurant also played fun music all day long, so bringing a radio was not necessary. Thank you so much for maintaining such beautiful accommodations! We look forward to coming again!

Our stay in your condo was wonderful!!! We really enjoyed everything the condo had to offer….beautiful accommodations, a spectacular view, wonderful pools and an amazing beach! It was wonderful! We all agreed however, that even if there would have been cause for us to not go into the gulf to swim, the pools at Sterling Shores are fabulous and quite easy to spend the day in!!! In fact…we spent a fair share of our time in the main pool anyway! We would come back in a heartbeat! It was a really fantastic vacation! We would love for all to know that in spite of the issues the gulf is facing, Destin and the Beaches of SouthWalton have so much to offer in their towns…that you are never at a shortage for things to do. It is a wonderful place to visit. Thanks again! Hope to visit again!!!

Awesome Place To Stay!! Destin is our very favorite vacation destination - a wonderful, family-oriented location and this condo was just perfect! Incredibly spacious...top floor, high ceilings, breath-taking view and ideal for families traveling together. The choice of two pools (an awesome lagoon pool at the building and another right at the beach) made it easy to please everyone in our family. Also, we loved the location...centrally located and close to everything. In addition, the owners were definitely the very best we've ever rented from. We just got home and I'm already starting to save for a return trip!!!
