If you don't appreciate charm, then this house is not for you. The house is set on a picturesque country road minutes to Sugarbush, Mad River, Waitsfield and Warren. It's comfortable and spacious, warm and homey with wide pine floors and hand hewn beams. We lived at the kitchen table in front of the fireplace where we spent hours enjoying a beef fondue and late nights of poker with lots of laughs. Even the twenty-somethings preferred the ambiance of the house over a night on the town after snowboarding. If you do go out, The Vermont Flatbread Company is wonderful and we love the bar at Mad River Glen for a drink or a bite to eat. We are Vermont lovers so when we're in Vermont, we want to feel it and this home had exactly what we were looking for!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

I have been staying at this VT house for a few years now, in both Summer and Winter. It is situated in one of the most idyllic areas of Vermont. The house itself is large enough to fit a good group of people, yet feels warm and cozy. Sitting by the wood stove or fireplace on a snowy night, or cooking a big family meal in the spacious kitchen and sitting talking around the dining table, are my favorite things in life. There are many amazing hikes in the area as well, not to mention just walking along the road this house is on is a beautiful trip, with small farms along the way where you can buy handmade cheeses, eggs and maple syrup. The house is also located on a nice quiet road, just far enough from town to be secluded but not too far for last minute grocieries or stepping out to rent a movie. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this house, or the town of Waitsfield. If I could stay here year round I would!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
