We recently had a family reunion here with visitors from Denver, San Francisco, Chicago, and Florida. Even though it's hard to get to from places like Florida, everyone felt it was well worth the travel. We never had to leave the property to enjoy ourselves. Everyone comes with diverse interests and desire for different activities. We were able to do all of them and still maintain a significant amount of "together" time while on site. The great room, kitchen, dining room area is an ideal place to cook, talk, eat, play games, watch TV (or Olympics in our case). The back yard and beach area were HUGE and provided unlimited space for a large group to do just about anything we wanted - croquet, volleyball, kickball, watersports, fishing, etc. All in all - A PERFECT SPOT!!!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children.

Our family group of 19 thoroughly enjoyed our week at the Lodge at Zaugg's Resort. For over a decade, we have always rented two adjacent chalets at Zaugg's for our annual summer cottage week, but this year being able to all stay in one spacious, beautiful, comfortable and convenient lodge made the week that much more enjoyable. The lodge is the perfect mix of togetherness for the whole group (meals and evening game nights were so easy!) while also having multiple levels with small spaces to spread out and quietly read a book or relax. The HUGE deck was a favorite gathering place in the evening to enjoy a bottle of wine, reminisce about the day's events and listen to the loons calling. The spacious lawn is a great place for frisbee or family yoga, and the beautiful sandy beachfront and dock are big enough to accomodate all of our waterfront activities. Zaugg's Resort is unparalleled as the perfect northwoods family vacation spot.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, people with disabilities.
