Experience the tranquility of your very own PRIVATE VERMONT FARMHOUSE ESTATE nestled in its own 156 ACRES OF UNSPOILED LAND with breathtaking views of beautiful Mount Mansfield! We invite you to relax and enjoy our spacious and tastefully furnished 4400 sq. ft. 15 ROOM Farmhouse and let its elegant charm and beauty re-energize you with hope and optimism and take you back to a time when life was simple.
From the expansive deck, you can see wildlife meandering through your open fields, the quiet beauty of nature surrounding you and plenty of nearby Vermont winter sports awaiting your arrival! PERFECT FOR HUNTERS! By night, thousands of stars sparkle across the sky on a heavy blanket of white snow! The full moon rising is an unforgettable event.
Just inside the Farmhouse from the deck, the warmth from a crackling Soapstone Fireplace awaits you. The completely refurbished Farmhouse boasts 7 bedrooms (5 with queen mattress, 1 with two twin beds and 1 with one twin bed) and 3 bathrooms large enough to accomodate up to 16 people very comfortably. All bedrooms are completed with antique beds, top of the line Vera Wang mattresses and finished with carefully chosen quilts, crisp white linens, extra pillows, bureaus and reading lamps.
From the upstairs bedrooms, take a walk down the open wooden staircase and upon entering the 'great room' the eye is drawn to the beautiful large planked floors, and exposed hand-hewn ceiling beams. Decorated with elegant (but not too fussy) country furnishings, plenty of sturdy rocking chairs, and the 52' FLAT SCREEN cable TV, this room is the perfect place to catch up on your favorite sports or a good movie. For those who aren't TV lovers, two other living rooms are available for conversation, reading, or a game of chess.
The expansive and newly appointed Farmhouse kitchen is complete with double convection oven, oversized Subzero refrigerator, dishwasher, and beautiful custom built pickled maple cabinetry. The kitchen is open to a large dining area which boasts a farmhouse table large enough to accomodate up to 16 people overlooking the Farmhouse, it's rolling hills and Mount Mansfield! The dining area also provides a Farmhouse sideboard/hutch complete with flatware, place settings, napkins and table linens, wine glasses, mugs, and a few other items necessary for your simple, or formal, dining needs. Our Farmhouse is complete with all bed linens, towels, washer and dryer, and a few extras. You need only bring your clothes and other personal items!
Head outside for a wonderful day of hiking to the top of your own mountain, or sitting waterside of your own on-site wading area and waterfalls! Settle down with a picnic near the water, lounge in the hammock for a lazy day nap in the summer, or go sledding with your family followed by a hot cup of cocoa or your favorite brew!!
While our Farmhouse is quiet and private, consider snowmobiling, we are near the VAST snowmobile trails! Also, our farmhouse is well-suited for hunting groups, and many other outfitters are available for various outdoor activities, including dog-sledding, cross-country skiing, snow-shoeing, sleigh rides, and snowmobiling. The Farmhouse is located approximately 20 minutes from Smugglers Notch ski area, 25-30 minutes to Jay Peak Ski Resort, 1 hour from Montreal, and 1 hour from Burlington. Just ask and we'd be more than happy to help make your plans. If you prefer other activities, we recommend local winerys for wine tastings, small cafe's, delis and other eateries, Fall corn maze, many Antique shops, Vermont products, golf courses within 5 minutes, various local artisans, and Art gallery. Most recently a local artisan and family business is now offering fresh made goats milk cheese, and Goats Milk Soap. Stop in to see the goat cheese production process and enjoy a wonderful conversation with a great family!

Angie was a delight to work with. Very willing to help in any way needed. The house is beautifully decorated and is absolutely lovely. I held a bridal shower with about 30-35 women at this house. It was perfect for an event like this! There was plenty of room for everyone and it was wonderful that people could spend the night when the party was over. The place was very clean! I would reccommend this place to all my family and friends! Again, the house was just lovely and I could not have dreamed of a better place to hold the shower!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We were having a wedding shower for a Vermont bride that included a bridesmaid (host) and several guests coming from out of state. The Farmhouse was the perfect setting for the shower. The house was spotless when we arrived, and it is absolutely beautiful. The bridesmaids were able to take our time setting up and decorating and getting to know one another before the shower. During the shower, all of the guests raved about the beauty of the house. We easily accommodated 40 guests, and several of the bride's close friends decided to stay the night after the shower. There was plenty of space for everyone. Angela was helpful and gracious. This is the perfect setting for showers, weddings, anniversary or birthday parties, and so on. This would also be a lovely base for a large family or families for exploring the area. The Farmhouse is a short drive to the new Jay Peak Resort which has an indoor waterpark, golf course, and ski area. It's also close to Smuggler's Notch ski area and loads of outdoor activities in the gorgeous lakes and mountains of the surrounding area. Burlington and Montreal are each about an hour away. Great location, amazingly beautiful Farmhouse, and attentive owner. The perfect setting for a destination event!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Our group had 11 people. The house exceeded our expectations. It was neat and clean, with fresh linens and towels to go around. There was plenty of room for everyone with extra room to spare. Angela was great and always quick to help. We hope to rent again sometime soon. LRRecommended for: Families with teenagers.

I booked the Farmhouse to bring our family of 16 to enjoy some 'family time'. This was the perfect place. Plenty of space for the entire family. Our intent was some winter activities, but everyone was comfortable just staying in and enjoying the comforts of home. Although, Smugglers is less than a 1/2 hr away. All the bedrooms are an excellent size and 3 bathrooms was helpful. The kitchen is a cooks kitchen and the dining room table sat 16 of us. I highly recommend the Farmhouse for a large family gathering or a fun stay with couples! Angie was a terrific host... Hope to be able to re-visit the Farmhouse!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, pet owners, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.
Owner response: Dear Carol and Joe, Thank you very much for your kind words in your review of the Farmhouse. I am really happy that the Farmhouse worked for your family. I love the effort you make to bring your family together to enjoy some down time together and I'll never forget your scrumptious lobster pie! It was my pleasure to meet you both and little Sophie, who was so well behaved. Come and stay at the Farmhouse anytime. Stay well Carol and Joe, Warm regards, Angela

We rented the Enosburg Farmhouse instead of a hotel room for my daughter's wedding. The Farmhouse was fantastic, we stayed there for four nights. Angela met us and showed us around; everything was as described on the VRBO website. The grounds and the house were well cared for and large enough for the gatherings. My daughter got married nearby at the Bakersfield Country Club and the Farmhouse was less than 10 minutes down the road. We had the rehearsal dinner at the Farmhouse and everyone loved the space. The kitchen and dining room were very large and well appointed (great appliances and many dishes) and it opened onto a lovely deck with a gas grill. Angela even bought a second grill for us to use since we were having more than 20 people for the rehearsal dinner. The car port opened onto the deck and the mudroom off of the kitchen so it was a convenient spot to leave coolers for extra drinks and a place for the empty containers. We enjoyed the living rooms and game table later in the evenings. The bedrooms were very comfortable and had air conditioners in the windows, which we needed on several nights. The bathrooms were also clean and had plenty of extra linens. We loved the Farmhouse and Angela was very helpful and easy to work with. Everyone is talking about booking the Farmhouse again for a family reunion or an anniversary party in the future.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
