Extremely nice, roomy cottage. It absolutely exceeded our expectations! Open, airy, and nicely decorated. In easy walking distance to beach, lake park, and Carolina Beach pavilion area. Fenced in yard perfect for dog. Owner Tish is accessible and easy to work with. She obviously takes pride in this house! As an added bonus, there is ample covered parking underneath with a very high overhead. No need to unpack or remove car carrier at street. Just pull in and go for it! Very satisfied with our stay, and hope to return soon.

This house was exactly what we expected and needed for our beach trip. There were only 3 of us and the dog, so the size was perfect. The property was situated between the beach and the town park, which was a great location. We could get to the beach in a very few minutes, or take the dog to the town park for a walk in a few minutes. We could also walk into town for a meal or cup of Majic Beanz coffee. Tish answered all of my questions, and always got back with me promptly. She had even prepared a book with all kinds of information about the area... and there is lots to see and do there, other than the beach. The trip to Southport was fun, and The Pharmacy offered incredible food! The state park was also fun, and something people often miss. The cottage was ideal for us, and Charlie-dog loved it as well. We will definitely return!

Had an awesome visit 9/9/11 to 9/14/11. House was better than describled. There was so many extras that were included in the house that was not even mentioned on the web page. Great location - couldn't ask for anything better for the 4-legged family members. Owner was the best to work with. Can't wait to come back for another visit. Thanks for sharing you beach home.

This wonderful cottage was even better than described. It was updated with bamboo flooring (I think) in both of the bedrooms and a flat screen TV in the living room. The cottage was equipped with everything we needed for our stay and then some. The fenced in backyard was perfect for our two dogs and the outdoor faucets were very convenient to wash the sand off after a day at the beach - which was just across the street and uncrowded. Overall, it was at an absolutely amazing rental that I would highly recommend to anyone looking to vacation in Carolina Beach. Thank you Tish for providing an excellent rental for our vacation and I hope to be back next year!

Tish and the house was absolutely fabulous!! My mom, myself, my two children and my Boxer just spent a week (May 14 - May 21) here and we didn't want to leave!! The house is absolutely wonderful!! The pictures and the description don't really do it justice. This property is definitely one you need to see! Trish made arranging everything very easy and was a real pleasure to work with! We will definitely keep this property in mind when it is time for our next vacation!! Thanks so much, Tish!!

This cottage was a perfect location for us, parents of UNCW freshman, who couldnt come home for Easter, so Mom and Dad found this wonderful cottage that would accomodate family and lil dog. The beach house was exactly as described, very cozy, comfortable, and centrally located. We loved the convenience of linens provided, cooking supplies, as well as beach chairs if we needed them. We were located within walking distance to convenience stores, take out food, etc. The beach was right there and uncrowded. Enjoyed many of the local tourist attractions including the ferry to Southport which we would highly recommend. Wilmington's Riverfront was fun too! Tish was easy to work with and very accomodating. The fenced in yard was great for our dog but we still kept her leashed and walked her as she is small, thin and could have fit through some of the spaces between the fence posts. Hope to return in the future!

This was a great place and perfect for a small family getaway (4 adults, 1 toddler, 1 dog). Love that it was pet-friendly and a VERY short walk to the beach. I really like that you can opt to clean the cottage yourself rather than pay for maid service--this is a nice option to save money if you can handle wielding a mop! The location is close the beach but avoids the noise/crowds of the boardwalk. we had a great time walking around the lake and stopping by the veggie market right across the street! Tish was very helpful and responded immediately to our concerns. Thanks again for a great weekend getaway!

This house was more than I could have ever expected! The listing description was more than accurate! This house was very short walking distance to the beach, to a beautiful park and to all Pleasure Island activities. Driving distance to many activities! The house was so clean, well maintained and stocked with just about anything you need! The owner was MORE than helpful and I would recommend this property to anyone, including friends and relatives! We walked everyday at the "Cape Fear' river park with my dog and it was beautiful! There is a "Bistro" right past the park that has wonderful wine, coffee and salads. We drove in to Wilimington for a Ghost tour and to walk the water front, shops etc.. Wilimington is well worth the short drive and I would recommend it to anyone that visits the area. Not only will I return, but I intend on returning for a long weekend in the off season as well as another full week next year for as many as Tish owns this rental. My only question will be which dog I am going to bring with my because my "Shelby" was in heaven!! Thanks to Tish!

My husband, myself, and our dog came from Greensboro to stay for a few days over my Spring Break (UNCG Grad student)-- we really enjoyed ourselves! The cottage is homey, cozy, and ready to be lived in. We loved how close it was to the beach, and how friendly the neighborhood was to us right away. Tish is a great host as well-- helpful, responsive, and wonderfully accommodating! Food tip: we walked over to The Treehouse Bistro for lunch one day (around the lake,) and it was some of the best food we've had in awhile (and we're amateur foodies)-- we definitely recommend it to anyone who stays here! We will definitely be back, many thanks to Tish (and Carolina Beach) for a wonderfully relaxing experience!

This was a perfect weekend getaway and a beautiful home. It has everything you need and was super cozy! The location was great and you could walk to so many places. We spent most of our time right on the beach and also rented a golf cart to check out the area - so much fun! We walked over to the lake and the family took the paddle boats out. Super relaxing! The beach is literally a 3 minute walk and not overcrowded. We had plenty of room to lay, play, throw our frisbees/footballs and enjoy every second. Tish was incredible and an extreme pleasure to rent from. She was super helpful and so friendly. We had the best time and will definitely come back and stay at Tish's house! We rent beach houses throughout the year and this is one of the best experiences we have had! Thanks so much Tish for renting your beautiful home! I will be sure to recommend!!

We had a fantastic weekend at the beach cottage! Axl (our dog) had the time of his life! There are lots of dog friendly activities around Carolina Beach. I would definitely recommend Freeman Park and Fort Fisher to anyone brining their dog. Tish made everything easy and was wonderful to deal with. I can't wait for our next visit!

We had such a great stay in NC. The cottage was so nice. It was everything that was described and more. It was so close to everything. And it was really great that we could bring our dog Tek. Fort Fisher was a beautiful beach and they allow you to bring dog, so we spent a fun day there. The water is so warm in NC as compared to RI. If we come back to Carolina Beach, which we plan to,I know we would really love to stay in this cottage again.

We had a wonderful time at your cottage. There were five adults and the facilities were more than adequate. My only suggestion is to remove the clothing and sheets from the bureau in the smaller bedroom. You could store them on one of the closet shelves. The beach was family oriented and peaceful. The water was warm for us Northeasterners though we were there in early May. Access to other towns and beaches was very good. There were no road gridlocks at the time. Parking was excellent and beach access was easy. For those who would want to attend a religious service there were plenty of churches on the main thoroughfare. We attended a service and felt uplifted. The surrounding towns were worth visiting and there was pleasant shopping, even for us guys, in downtown Wilmington, a short drive away. We wish you all the best. Take care. The Dignam

What a wonderful and relaxing time we had on our trip and since we were able to have our dog with us it made it even better! Harley, a 9 yr old Bullmastiff, loved it as much as we did - everything was convenient, beach access, lake access, coffee shop/internet cafe. Carolina Beach is such a nice quiet beach, it will make you want to come back time and time again. The house is most accommodating, we had everything we needed plus more. We are already planning our next trip - thanks again for renting to those of us who own pets!

This was our first trip to Carolina Beach and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage was bright, clean, well furnished, and a perfect "home away from home." The location was great with both the beach and a lakeside park within a short walk. Our thanks to a most gracious and helpful owner.

Well,I have to say I was a bit hesitent about this site at first, but much to my suprise,I was very much impressed.First by the timely reply to my emails by Tish, and how helpful she was with everything, and then with how fantastic the house itself was once we got down there.Everything was clean, and well stocked. We really enjoyed the outside shower.and the bar glasses came in handy:)There was plenty to do inthe area, like the u.s.s. battleship north carolina, the aquariam, the orton house(a old rice plantaion) and our favorite thing was the fishing trip we went on.poor kids got sick but thats ok,its all about the experience.and we caught a ton of fish.Let us not forget that we did get to bring along our dear furry friend with us who had a blast chasing beach chickens and waves. It was our first family vacation and im sure it wont be our last, were planning on coming back next year. All our best to you Tish thanks for such a great time.Hope to see you soon. What a wonderful place to come to for relaxation and recharging the batteries. The beach house is great and very well equipped. Pet friendly so we can bring our little ones. The beach is a stone through away and beautiful. Even with all the beach walking, I gained 3 pounds from the delicious food in the area. If I could rate this house and the service, I would give it a A1. We will come back soon.

We stayed at this beautiful cottage from March 8-17. We would have loved to have stayed longer!! Next year hopefully we can! You can see the ocean from the from sunroom area and of course hear it, the house is wonderful, well equiped, and the owner is great to work with, what more could you want! Oh I know, that it is pet friendly so Snoopy and Bitzy could come with, I don't vacation without them, so would not have had the joy of staying there if it was not pet friendly! We certainly hope to come back next year!

My husband and I celebrated the recent publication of my first book with a relaxing vacation at Tish's cottage. This location is exactly what I'm talking about in my book! Modest and unassuming on the outside, the beautifully-decorated interior is a veritable treasure trove of convenience and comfort, located only a short walk from both the beach and lake. As recommended in my book, we traveled in the off-season when the water was still warm, the weather still lovely, and the area quiet and uncrowded. In Tish's cottage, we found the perfect spot - all the elegance of a beach "villa" at the price a family of middle class income, (including pets!), could afford. I only wish I had discovered this spot before my book was published. Tish, there is definitely a spot for you in my next travel book! We really enjoyed staying here and it was wonderful to be able to bring our dogs. The house was very clean, well maintained and had all the conveniences of home (including a high speed internet connection so we were able to get some work done). One of the most pleasant surprises was how comfortable the beds were. I'm always afraid of getting stuck on an old, uncomfortable mattress, but the mattresses felt new and were in great shape. There was plenty to do in the area. We spent time on the beach, walking our dogs in the nearby park and spending some time in Wilmington. There are a lot of good restaurants nearby, our favorite was the Tuscan Grill. On top of it all Tish was very accommodating and easy to work with. Thank you for letting us rent your beach home and bring our dogs. We look forward to returning next year!

Just a perfect place in the perfect setting. Carolina Beach Lake was perfect for early morning walks and the 4th of July fireworks were awesome. This truly was a great place to stay, and close to everything by feet or by vehicle. Thanks for allowing pets, it really helps to make the vacation enjoyable and that outside shower, nothing like getting clean in nature. This was my first trip to Carolina Beach and won't be my last at the beach and hopefully not the last time we rent this cottage. Our entire vacation was PERFECT. Thanks again!

Beautifully decorated, very clean, and has everything you could possibly want! It was also the 1st private home that furnished the linens, paper products ect. It is a very charming home! We really hope we will be able to return for more vacations here! The fenced in yard is great too! Hans and Kathryn Karrais

We have made the trip to Carolina Beach from Ontario twice to stay in this house. It has every convenience we require and feels like a home away from home. We love the fenced yard for our dog and walking on the beach, around the lake and at the beautiful nearby State Park. We stayed three weeks and still felt there was much left to explore. We highly recommend this destination.

We had such a great visit! The house had all the amenities we could ask for, and the fenced yard and porch were especially nice for the dog. We really enjoyed eating at Freddies (Kure Beach), as well as the Pier House (also Kure Beach). The beachfront at Fort Fisher was clean and well-kept, and we were able to bring the dog. She wasn't welcome at many of the other beaches at the time we visited...We would highly recommend Tish's cottage, and would definitely come again!

We were very surprised at the house when we arrived. It is so spacious, modern, and beautifully decorated that the pictures do not do it justice. The fenced in backyard was an added convenience, since I brought my dog. The location was excellent - only a few steps to a beautiful, uncrowded beach. We did not get to all the attractions/restaurants we wanted to - just ran out of time. We'll definitely be back.

This cottage exceeded my expectations! It is beautifully decorated, and spacious. The pictures do not do it justice. The cottage location offers easy access to not only a nice stretch of beach on either end of the block, but also to the very appealing community lake with paddle boats and walking path. Whether we wanted to play outside or in, amenities were available to support both. We truly enjoyed ourselves, and will have wonderful memories of this cottage forever. I am looking forward to returning again sometime.
