Buffalo Creek Guest Cottage is luxurious, contemporary sophistication in one-level, cottage-style lodging. A flight of outdoor steps to this private perch is like a stairway to heaven for adoring couples. And for serious fly fishermen, a quality step up to accommodations that the famous ORVIS organization uses along with the Buffalo Creek Lodge. The cottage assures your comfort with air-conditioning, two satellite TVs, and ceiling fans in living room, dining area, bedroom, and bathroom. Light-finished pine paneling throughout.

The bedroom contains a queen bed, custom built-in clothes cabinetry, and TV nook. Overhead heat lights keep you cozy in a master-size bathroom with tub/shower, clothes closet, and built-in storage shelving. The living room is a study in complementary woods that brighten the interior. Floors are of beautifully-finished native pine while walls glow with white northern pine and large beams accent beaded pine in the cathedral ceiling. A love seat sofa overlooks a large coffee table to TV by satellite. Two facing, oversize daybed sofas offer total body comfort beyond imagining.

A full, open kitchen shares a corner of the living room ambiance. New appliances make your food preparation easy: electric stove, microwave, refrigerator with ice maker, coffee grinder and two pots. Utensils provided. Bar stools hug up to a beautiful wood counter top. Just steps away, your choice: a dining room table with four comfortable chairs or large, open patio deck with cedar furniture including dining table with umbrella, chairs including rockers, and bench. Also gas grill barbecue. Take in the morning sun with your first cup of coffee and favorite book on the intimate, secluded front porch.

What to do onsite or nearby: Let a professional ORVIS fly-fishing guide show you where to reel them in. Visit Cherokee and see Unto These Hills for insight into local native-American history. Whether you like pure relaxation, moderate activity, or frantic action... this is the place for you!

    • My husband and I stayed at Buffalo Creek Guest Cottage in October, 2008. Driving up the road leading to this most beautiful cabin, we knew that we were in for a special treat. We loved every minute....Beau is a wonderful host, the cabin was perfect, location couldn't be better as it is close to Bryson City, yet one feels a world away! We will most definitely return, soon!

    • We stayed at the Buffalo Creek Guest Cottage for 9 days and had the most amazing holiday. The cabin is situated in an idyllic location with fantastic views but only a short distance from Bryson City which has everything you need in terms of restaurants, cafes and supermarkets. We thoroughly enjoyed our hiking, mountain biking and white water rafting trips which are also really close by. The cabin itself is well equiped and is really comfortable and homely. Beau was a fantastic host and he certainly made our stay far more memorable. We will definately be re-visiting!

    • Of all the places to visit in Western North Carolina, we were blessed to spend 3-days at the Buffalo Creek Cottage. We could not have chosen a more comfortable haven for rest, relaxation and reflection. Searching for a quiet place to renew ourselves from our fast paced lifestyle, we found more than a peaceful stay - we found a friend in Beau, the gracious host of Buffalo Creek. Without reservation, we highly recommend a visit to Buffalo Creek Cabin and hope that you will enjoy your stay as much as we did. We will absolutely return.

    • We were very pleased with the accomodations at Buffalo Creek. The cabin was tastefully decorated and equipped with everthing necessary for a stay of a few days or longer. Beau made us feel at home and part of his family. Thanks for a wonderful, quiet retreat.

    • The beautiful cottage exceeded our expectations, inside and out. The mountain views from the cottage were spectacular. Our only regret is not having the opportunity to spend more time with our gracious host. Beau is an absolute joy. We had a wonderful time and a wonderful stay!

    • We just spent a week in Beau's guest cottage. My wife and I had the most relaxing vacation in recent years. There are many things to do in the area and the cabin was wonderful. The view from the deck was unbelieveable.

    • We decided to come to this wonderful place after my sister and brother-in-law stayed here. Buffalo Creek Cottage is everything you read about and more. The view from the porch is fabulous and and we enjoyed just sitting there and soaking up the beauty. There are plenty of outdoor activities in the area and even a train ride!! Our host, Beau, made us feel more like friends who have come to visit than guests. We will plan another visit to this wonderful palce soon. Brad and Crickett Rogers

    • One of the many items that drew us to this property was the wonderful comments by people who stayed there. We would echo all the great comments already said. I just retired from the Holiday Inn Corp. after 27 years in the hotel/hospitality business and we certainly reconize hospitality when we see it. Beau, the owner, goes beyound normal expectations of what to expect from a rental owner. We certainly felt like guest and friends. This cottage has it all. Comfort, great views, great location, everything you need to enjoy the stay. If you read the other comments you will see a pattern and it's all good. Ww will certainly go back to Buffalo Creek because of the combination of the cottage and Beau. Yes, it's a Ten and Beau is a "11"
