  Our family truly enjoyed the fun packed week at your vacation home. It is close to Sea World, San Diego Zoo, and Sea World Safari Park and the beach. We used the free pass to Torrey State Park, too. We were amazed at the amount of ocean toys, (surf boards, boogie boards, flippers, helmets , beach umbrellas, small child toys, beach chairs , wet suits and more. When we returned home we ENJOYED the heated shower on the back deck to wash away the sand. We did not use the bikes this time. There are plenty of bath towels. It took us a couple days to find the dish cloths and dish rags. I was surprised to find detergent for the washer. A Plus! The computer was there and we were able to print our boarding passes to fly home. One note: there are only 4 teaspoons but plenty of other silverware and cooking utensils.   This is a very comfortable home. Maureen and her family were kind enough to allow us an extended stay to escape the winter up north. We had friends and family visit during our stay and the floor plan was great for everyone to have their own privacy. Kitchen is very well equipped with a Viking 5 burner gas cooktop, GE monogram fridge etc. Great new Weber grill on the back deck which we put to good use. VERY comfy beds in all bedrooms and convenient washer and dryer on the upper level. Spacious wrap around decks and bright and sunny. Owners were very responsive to any needs we had (which were few) and took care of any problems. Torrey Pines Pass a real plus when we had visitors. Great neighborhood - very quet even though it's close to a major thoroughfare. Will definitely consider another stay.

  A long planned surprise 50th birthday party for our son was so successful and fun because this open floor plan allows for the movement and set up for entertaining. Besides the evening of the party, we had a week to enjoy the many attractions in the area, like Sea World,Coronado, the beaches,SanDiego tours, and seafood! The owners are very helpful,and prompt to answer any questions. I would recommend this house as a long term rental ,or for a special occasion ,as we had this fall.The house was clean,well maintained, and lived up to the expectations we had after looking at the photos and reading the description.

  Staying at this home was like opening the perfect present! It had all we wished for and needed for 4 adults and 3 kids (ages 1.5, 4, 7). We slept 2 adults and three kids in the downstairs master very comfortably thanks to the twin size sofa bed and back 1/2 bedroom. The other two bedrooms were perfect and queit areas for our mothers, The house is very clean which makes is a breath of fresh air after playing tourist. There are shopping centers nearby to get groceries and food. The kitchen is well stocked with basic needs and there is an abundance of bath/beach towels. In terms of cost, staying here actually saved us money! It was cheaper to stay here than rent two hotel rooms. It was much more spacious than staying at a hotel. Both Maureen and Mathieu (the property manager) were professional, efficient, and reliable. Maureen graciouly acquired a pack and play just for us. And, Matheiu was eager to help with with questions and help. For example, we short circuited an outlet and misaligned a closet door (both our fault). Mathieu very graciously and quickly came over to fix the issues. He did not interrogate us or scold us but only extended much grace to us! The main living space is on the second floor so this home would be difficult for guests in a wheelchair or with walking issues (i.e. have to go up a flight of stairs). We're frequent vbro customers. And, our entire experience with the house and maureen/mathieu left us pleasanly impressed! We plan to come back in few years once we gain enough airline mileage to get us over to san diego for free :).

  It was a lovely holiday house. My family, 6 adults and 2 boys, had a great stay in this Del Mar Home. How we wish we could stay there for 4 months instead of 4 days. The rooms are so clean and are so well equipped. It is the best holiday house we have ever stayed. We definitely will come back, and will highly recommend it to our friends and relatives. One suggestion - it will be perfect if there are more area to dry our clothes under the sun, rather than merely using the dryer (from Asian standpoint of view)

  We stayed here with our baby and had a wonderful time. The house is impressively stocked and we spent a lot of time lounging around the upper floor and enjoying the view. We also had plenty of room to welcome friends and could probably have housed a platoon of relatives if need be. The beach parking pass was also a great amenity--a 2-3 minute drive from the house and a convenient way to bring a day's worth of beach bum equipment out to the sand.

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

  The Family Friendly house in Del Mar was exactly that! It was a gorgeous location with perfect views and three wonderful bedrooms and bathrooms. My parents and in-laws were in town and they could not stop raving about what a perfect place this was to stay. The master bedroom and bath is upstairs and the second large bedroom and bath are downstairs. The third good sized room is downstairs as well with a disconnected bathroom. This allows plenty of space for everyone to feel relaxed and comfortable. Not to mention the multiple decks where you can go and visit and layout or watch the ocean and birds from three different vantage points. The kitchen was fully equipped (not the case for many other Bnb's I've stayed at) and the range was wonderful to cook on. The grill was also perfect, and the list goes on and on, including the fact that Maureen (the contact for this property) was so incredible to work with. She always responded in a timely and sweet manner and really took care of us.

  Thoroughly enjoyed our 9 day stay at Del Mar House! We were in San Diego for our son's wedding and rented the house for some out-of-state family members to stay at along with our family. There was plenty of space for all of us - the house is larger than it looks and the rooms are spacious & clean. The beds were very comfortable too. We cooked most of our meals at the house and found the kitchen well stocked with nice pans, dishes, etc. The pantry came in very handy as did the washer and dryer. We loved the orange & ginger shampoo/conditioner that was in the bathrooms for guests' use. I have since ordered several bottles for my family as we got addicted to the wonderful fragrance. From the description, we were envisioning the beach to be closer than it was - some of the fitter ones did walk to it and back a few times and took the car other times. The Park Pass saved us $10 every-time we used it. Torey Pines State Park & Beach is gorgeous! We loved hiking there and went almost daily. We also enjoyed walking around the hilly neighborhood - lots of very high end homes to look at, a good work-out going uphill and great views from the top! Would highly recommend this home!

  We had a great experience with this Del Mar house. It was very spacious and nicely accommodated 3 adults and two 5-yr olds. The bathrooms and kitchen were nicely updated. It's an open kitchen, with a nice flow to the dining area and family room. One of the very pleasant features of the home is how well it is stocked. The kitchen has everything you could need, and they even provide shampoo, etc., in the bathrooms (we've stayed at many a rental where you needed to provide common toiletry items and things like paper towels or plastic wrap - -it was such a convenience to have such things provided here). Since we had kids with us, it was really nice to have a yard--that was unexpected. Also the home has two very large deck areas with nice views of the ocean. So plenty of large outdoor space. Some of the furniture had seen better days, and a glass top table had a bad crack in it that was taped with duct tape that my son cut his hand on. Hopefully that has been replaced. The furnishings were certainly adaquate and comfortable, though, and the beds were comfortable. The home could use some sort of music player, but we were perfectly happy with turning on the music channels from the cable tv. I'm sure some people will want to dock their iPods/phones, though. We didn't have the best weather so we never walked to the beach from the house. Perhaps it's an easy walk, but be aware you need to cross a somewhat busy street, and walk along it for a bit, to get to the beach access. We drove to Torrey Pines state park (the homeowners provide a pass), just a few minutes away, which is a wonderful hiking area. The home is also close to many other amenities like restaurants and shops (though not many are walking distance). The neighborhood is beautiful, ideal for walks. The house was clean and well maintained, and the owners were very easy to work with.

  Derek's place was perfect! My friends and I headed to San Diego for the Tough Mudder race. We needed a large space to relax and sleep in. This house was great - enough beds, kitchen with cooking supplies (we made breakfast!), laundry, etc.. Everything was very clean and convenient. Derek and Maureen even provided a nice renter's guide with instructions and local eateries. I would recommend this place to anyone!
