  My new husband and I recently stayed here for our honeymoon and it couldn't have been more perfect! Hotels have so many people around and this was so private. Every night we slept to the sound of the waves, every morning we ate breakfast right outside our master bedroom on our patio, and every night we ate dinner and watched the sunset right on the water. The house had all the amenities you could need. There were plenty of beach towels, and although we visited many beaches on the island, our favorite was Makaha, which was only minutes from the house. They even had snorkel gear we used, and there were tons of beautiful fish right off the beach. I would definitely stay here again, and we hope to bring our families with us on our next vacation.

  We stayed here for 8 days with our adult children and their families. It was WONDERFUL. The pictures of the rooms are accurate and no one felt crowded. The kitchen,diningroom, and livingroom are all open to each other which gave plenty of space. I hesitate to say how good this house and location is, as I might be booked when I want to use it again....but good for the owners. The public beach PAST the small boat harbor was wonderful and calm for our grandchildren but crowded on the weekends. The weather was great and even when it was rainy on the North Shore, the sun was shing at the house.It came stocked with spices and condiments, paper plates etc, from others who have stayed before,(and of course you can leave your non perishable extras). Plenty of sheets and towels, but I would recommend taking your own beach towels. There were some beach toys in the "small shed" in the garage. There was even a baby playyard and we left a baby walker. Owners were wonderful to work with as well as their care taker. Enjoy if you rent here!

  I can't believe how fortunate I was to have come accross this site and found such a beautiful house. If you are looking for a quiet place away from all the craziness in the city, this is the place for you. The view of the ocean is spectacular, especially at sunset as you sit and watch the whales - absolutely gorgeous! The pool is refreshing and clean. The house is clean with nice appliances and newly remodelled bathrooms. Air conditioners in each room, although you really did not need them. Everything you need is there: beach/pool toys, beach chairs, plenty of beach towels, hair dryer, and we really liked having the washer and dryer on site. I can't say enough about this place, very private and quiet - we had an amazing stay. The owner was great to work with - always helpful and prompt in returning my emails. The property manager was so helpful - he met us as we arrived and went through the house and explained everything to us. He went out of his way to ensure that our vacation went smoothly. The only complaint I would have is that we could not stay longer.

  WOW! We were blown away when we arrived at this beautiful property- the posted photos and video give a great taste of the home, but there's nothing better than arriving and finding the property is better than expected. Gorgeous ocean front pool. Huge double lot with complete and total privacy- peaceful and exactly what my wife and I were looking for. The home is about an hour or so from the airport and Honolulu and the tourist mecca of Waikiki if that's what you want- not our thing. The house and landscaping is extremely well maintained, and the care taker Billy is only minutes away if anything is required. Gourmet kitchen looking out to the pool and ocean well stocked with EVERYTHING you will need or want- cooking is one of our passions and the kitchen was well outfitted. The master bedroom is spacious and lovely with a walk in closet and ensuite with double shower, and opens onto the pool side patio with great views. The other bedrooms on the main floor are very nicely decorated as well. Large dining and living areas, but we spent most of our time outdoors. We were looking to just destress from our hectic lives and do our own thing, and this home was perfect. We did a couple of grocery runs to the Costco and Safeway in nearby Kapolei, about 30 minutes south, for seafood, meat, wine and a few staples, and visited local farms for fresh fruit and produce- and of course the Farmer's Market in Waianae as well. Super deals if you take some time to look! We literally ate every one of our home prepared meals- breakfast, lunch and dinner- outsde on the patios. The weather was perfect and the views of the ocean to the west and mountains to the east were mesmerizing. The property has many plumeria trees, and other assorted flowers including Bird-of-Paradise, providing that intoxicating tropical fragrance. The pool was one of the reasons we chose this home and we spent most days just relaxing, but there are two beaches within a 5-10 minute walk- one to the north with a park area and uncrowded Makaha beach to the south, if you are craving sand. The popular yet eclectic North Shore is maybe an hour and a half away, with it's funky restaurants and shrimp trucks, while the Ko Olina Resort to the south has a Roy's (we love his Asian fusion menu) and fine dining at the spectacular 4 Diamond Azul Restaurant. We would not hesitate to again rent this property, whether just for ourselves, or with a group. No disappointments whatsoever! Truly a remakable home and great value.

  This westside location is definitely warmer than the north shore where we stayed last year. The house/grounds are exactly as the photos show them to be. Our grown children were in the tidepools each day and even held a baby octupus. Found delicious new restaurants (Monkey Pod and Kapolei Hawaiian BBQ ) in Kapolei across the street from the Marriott and the Aulani resorts. The Aulani has a great seaood lunch on Fridays. .Kaaha Aina Cafe (Farrington and Mailili ) has wonderful views and is great for breakfast and lunch. This is "the' place for total privacy and relaxation...the sound of the crashing waves, the fresh, clean air and the unobstructed ocean and sunset views bring you peace all around you. JUST ENJOY!!!!!

  Our three adult daughters and their families all met at the airport and drove to the Witkin property. We were extremely satisfied with the home and grounds, which were very clean and well maintained. Although it is some distance from the touristy part of Waikiki, that is what appealed to us. We still were able to go and tour everywhere we wanted to, it just took a little longer. We felt very comfortable and safe in the home with the alarm system. The pictures shown on the website were exactly as we experienced it. The kitchen was beautiful and up to date. We bought grocieries at the store before going out to the property, however, there were spices, seasonings and a lot of extras already in the kitchen, which, at the end of our stay, added to the supply. The caregiver met us at the house on our arrival even though it was late afternoon, and he gave us all the details of the property and instructions for operating washing machine, etc. There was quite a bit of rain off and on, but we expected that in February. The ground would dry off and the rainbows were beautiful as well as the sunsets. Every day the whales and dolphins put on a show for us. The number of whales we saw were incredible and quite close to shore. Makaha Beach was close by. It was clean and also well taken care of. The lifeguards were extremely friendly and helpful in loaning us surfboards, showing us the best and safest place to surf. I would certainly recommend this property.

• Paradise!

  This was my second time staying in this house, and I'm sure it won't be my last! More than ample space for a group of people to coexist comfortably. Location is ideal as it is off the beaten path, but not far from anything. Takes about an hour to get to attractions on the North Shore and about 45 minutes to get to Waikiki. Scenery is incredible, sunsets are breathtaking, and the house is well looked after. Highly recommended if you are looking for a place to call home on Oahu!

  This property is ideal for those who want to stay off the beaten path, but since Oahu isn't huge, it's still not a terribly long drive to touristy places. Make sure to get home to enjoy the sunset from the pool/backyard! The kitchen and bathroom facilities are clean, fully functional and ample enough to cater to the culinary and bathing needs of a full house of active travelers. Not sure the listing mentions it, but when I stayed there, there was a second refrigerator downstairs. For those who are self-catering, the supermarket and a Saturday morning farmer's market are a 5-10 minute drive away. Also, good hiking and isolated beaches are nearby in Kaena Point. By the way, if you're concerned about too much rain ruining your Hawaiian holiday, this property is on the leeward (west) coast of Oahu, which gets more sun and less rain than the rest of the island.

  I stayed at this property for one week in September and could not have been happier. The house was clean, comfortable, and easy to be in. The pool was amazing, the view was gorgeous, and the property smells like plumeria. The location was great, easy to get wherever we needed. It was the perfect place to be and will stay there again next time I travel.
