There are miles of great hiking trails in Oswald West State Park - just 10 minutes away - or take a stroll along Manzanita Beach or Nehalem Bay beach. Nehalem Bay State Park has miles of family-friendly walking and biking trails that start right outside our front door.
Home has three bedrooms - a master with a queen bed and connecting full bathroom, a 2nd bedroom with queen bed, and a kids room with a full/twin bunk bed. A loft has a fold-out couch that sleeps 1-2.
Relax with a gas fireplace and mounted flat-screen TV, cable, and DVD/VHS library.
Two full bathrooms and full kitchen, with all new appliances: microwave, diswasher, refrigerator, stove, washer, and dryer.

We just returned from our 3-generation family weekend in this beautiful home. My toddler was in heaven playing with the many toys and coloring at the little kid's table. The kitchen was extremely well stocked with quality cooking equipment and with non-breakable kid-friendly plates and cups (along with nice tableware for the adults). We loved that the beach and main street are easy to walk to. The place is very nicely decorated and very comfortable; it really felt like home. We have rented many vacation homes in the past and this was one of the very best, particularly for accommodating our young child. We hope to return on a future trip!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.

We rented this home for a long Memorial Day weekend and were thrilled with condition of the home, the location and the amenities. The home is very well appointed, will all the up-to-date touches you could want right down to the electric wine bottle opener. The main bedroom and bath on the first floor were perfect for my elderly parents and the upstairs was great for the family. My two boys (1st grade and Kindergarten) immediately played in the front sand yard, then had a great time discovering the toys in the loft. Very nice to have movie night (big selection) for the kids upstairs, or hang out with all 6 on the sofa for a movie downstairs. The location was too far away from the beach and town for my parents to walk. However, it was an easy walk for the kids and the house is right next to Nehalem Bay State Park. We had a fantastic time riding around on our bikes in the park. It was nice to be able to leave our bikes safely in the garage. We will be keeping this house on our short list of beach vacation spots!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, age 55+, girls getaway.

Just a block from the main entrance of Nehalem Bay State Park. A bike path that goes into the park starts just across the street. Once inside the park, there is a 2-mile loop for bikers and joggers and a great beach to explore, both on the Bay side and the ocean side of the Nehalem Penninsula.

About the owner: We are an active family living in Portland and love spending time in Manzanita, where there is so much to do - hike, bike, golf, swim, crab, fish, and just explore. We love to ski in the winter and travel.
Why the Owner Chose Manzanita:
We bought in Manzanita because it is a short drive from our home in West Portland, and we fell in love with the town after moving back from the East Coast. Manzanita is a short drive from Cannon Beach and Seaside, where there is always lots to do. Our kids also love to go to the Tillamook Cheese Factory, which is just a short drive down US101.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We love the short walk to the beach and the fact that Nehalem Bay State Park is just across the street. When it's too windy on the beach, we can go to the Bay and still play in the sand and water. And, there are miles of biking and walking trails.
