Though my stay was unfortunately cut short by a tragedy at home, I couldn't have been more pleased with this apartment and Patricia's lovely hospitality. It is an extremely convenient location, well-furnished and pleasant space. To have the fridge stocked with supplies for supper when I arrived was an especially nice feature. I highly recommend this lovely flat.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you for taking the time to write such a kind review. We were sorry that your stay was sadly shortened but hope that you will be able to visit Edinburgh again in the future.

Arrived by train from Aberdeen. Short walk from Waverley station. Nice touches like a few essential food items in the fridge. Spacious and quiet despite being close to everything you need to see and do during a visit to this great city.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Thank you for you very kind review. We're glad you enjoyed your stay at the flat and would definitely agree - Edinburgh is a great city to visit!

This flat is in a wonderful location - very close to the train station for arrivals/departures, and walking distance from all the major sights in the city. The flat was very clean and comfortable, with amenities that can be a rarity in Europe (washer/dryer!). Patricia and Kenny are very professional and courteous and truly go the extra mile for their guests. My only advice would be to plan better than we did - and make sure you call/email ahead of arrival and ask for the house number so you can look up directions; our initial confirmation email did not have the house number for the flat listed in it...but we were kindly spotted searching for the flat by the owners nonetheless!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you for your kind review - we are so glad you felt at home here and enjoyed your break. Although the address is on the booking form, in future we will add a map as well. Should you return to Edinburgh again, you would be very welcome back.

Terrific location, terrific flat, and terrific owners. Our favorite pub ended up being right around the corner (Cafe Royal), and you're within four or five blocks of the airport express bus, Calton Hill (terrific views), a Tesco, and multiple cafes and bars. The Royal Mile is about a five minute walk, and there is nothing that's outside of walking distance. Patricia was incredibly accommodating in letting us drop our bags and check in early - I would recommend her flat to anyone. We'll be back!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.
Owner response: Thank you for your very kind review. We love the location of the flat also and Calton Hill is just such a beautiful view. It's great to hear of guests enjoying Edinburgh as much as we do!

Hello everyone! We stayed at this beautifully furnished apartment during The Fringe Festival. Everything was new and in excellent condition. We had a kitchen with the needed items to cook and eat meals and the fridge was even stocked with snacks and breakfast treats. We had a washing machine (which is extremely convenient when it rains). The bathroom was clean with quality soaps and the towels were soft. Patricia and her family were very helpful about any touristy questions we had (before and during our stay) and there was a travel binder with pamphlets for the attractions. Any info we needed was easily obtained by our laptop on the in-house wi-fi network. There was a futon in the living room which folded out to a twin bed. It was very comfy- like a real bed. The bedroom also had a very large comfy bed for 2. The whole apartment had double-paned glass which kept it quiet inside. The living room had an lcd tv to watch with good working channels. It was connected to a home theater system which can be used for movies or music. There is even a book collection with Scottish lit, cd's and dvd's to keep everyone entertained (which there was no time for!). The location was awesome- a short walk to the city centre (buses/shuttles to airport, Waverly Train station, The Royal Mile and museums). On our block itself, we had 2 bars- The Newsroom and The Black Bull Tavern (we actually saw a Ska show at Black Bull).. Starbucks was literally on the next block and there was a Costa close by as well! We went to the St. James Centre across the street for some shopping and we also parked our rental in the parking garage there. Tesco express (a 7-11 type place where you can get cheap, delicious sandwiches and alcohol), movie theater, fish and chips and pizza were nearby. During the Fringe it was awesome. We would just walk out the building and there were already sights to see and sounds to hear! We love this place and would definitely recommend it to anyone. Patricia and her family were delightful and all interactions were pleasant and friendly. Thanks again to Patricia and her family for making our stay so comfortable and memorable! Regards, Melinda, Jeff, Eileen and Myles P.S. Climb Arthur's Seat and Calton Hill (right behind the apartment). Do the Edinburgh Dungeon, Mary Kings Close and Edinburgh Castle.. Check the museums out, have a drink at a pub with local music.. I cannot list it all!! Edinburgh is such a great city with great history and great people..Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed review. We're so pleased that you had a good time during your stay in Edinburgh and I'm sure your recommendations will be useful to future guests.

This apartment was spotless, and so conveniently located! We have stayed at quite a few VRBO rentals, and this was our favorite. Its location within a few minutes walk of the train station, the Royal Mile, and Calton Hill make it perfect for walking throughout Edinburgh. The apartment was tastefully decorated, exactly as advertised in pictures. A nice touch was the the binder filled with helptul tips about the apartment, sightseeing, and restaurants. Patricia was super-accommodating. We were taking a late train out of Edinburgh, and she 'gave' us more time in the city by allowing us to stay beyond the usual check-out time. A wonderful experience!.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you for your very kind review. We're glad that you found our location so convenient and were very pleased that you had such an enjoyable stay in Edinburgh.

The location is perfect. You can walk to everything you need- bus, train, shops, restaurants, etc.. Having the privacy of a flat was better to come home to each night than going to a hotel. The price is right and the owner's are great. They helped us with directions and info and answered any questions we had. I would definitely stay here the next time I am in Edinburgh.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you for your helpful review. We're glad you found staying at the flat so convenient. Glad to hear that you would keep us in mind for your next visit to Edinburgh.

Very nice place to stay. We were pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was, even though Leith Street is just outside. We would definitely stay here again. Extremely close to Waverly Station and Princes Street, as well as groceries, dining, and shopping. ,Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

This is a beautiful, clean and convenient place to stay. The owners are wonderfully kind and helpful, they went beyond what we expected. We had so much fun during our week in Edinburgh, we walked to so many sites, restaurants and pubs. We rented a car and drove up into the Highlands for a few days and came back to the city for the beginning of the Art Festival. The flat is in the center of the city so we did hear the typical city sounds from the bedroom but that is to be expected in a central location. We definitely recommend this place to someone looking for a nice, clean, affordable and convenient place to stay.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you so much for your very kind review. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay in Edinburgh and hope that you will visit again in the future.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay on Leith St. This was our second trip to Edinburgh, and this charming flat could not have served our needs any better. Very centrally located near Princes St, Waverley Station, the main bus stops, and the Royal Mile are all within only a short walking distance from the flat, not to mention a huge selection of excellent restaurants and pubs. Thanks again for providing such a great place, Patricia. We would love to stay here again on our next trip to Edinburgh. Cheers!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+.
Owner response: Thank you for your positive review. It was kind of you to take the time. We're glad you enjoyed your holiday and would welcome you back anytime.
