We did not stay at the cottage, we stayed in the Mountain Home above it. It was so awesome!!! Only thing was the bedding didn't smell as fresh as I would have liked. Who knows, maybe I'm just used to my detergents :)Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We found a place to come back to year after year. The cottage is cozy and we loved how close it is to the parks. I feel like I got a bargain due to walking distance to the lake. The entire area is quaint and the rental office was verty helpful with tips on the area. Im gonna be a repeat customer.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We liked most everything about this place, including the location. The scenery is beautiful and the entire campground is very scerene. The cottage came with full sheets, blankets and towels. We relaxed and had a good time on the lake deck.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

This was a relaxing getaway from our hectic schedules. The cottage fit most all our needs: kitchen small but well equipped, great views to outdoors and BBQ was great to use for dinners. We enjoyed walks around the lake and visiting the national parks was easy to get to and very close. This place is super relaxing and it was clean.Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Arrived late on Friday night to a cabin with 5 lights burned out. Couldn't see to bring our luggage in. Cabin was freezing cold. Took all night to warm up, and still didn't completely warm kitchen or downstairs bedroom. Very cheaply furnished. Some of the beds had no sheets (bunk beds). Toaster and oven didn't work. Windows with no blinds. The list goes on... This cabin needs some TLC! Such a disappointment on the first night of our vacation. Did not stay the second night! Usually, have had good results with VRBO.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/3

Wonderful scenery and close proximity to National Parks made us very happy to have found the cottage. We enjoyed the outdoor BBQ area and the kitchen seemed well equiped with coffee maker and toaster. We stayed comfortably in the master bedroom with a view and sliding glass door to balcony. I also liked the convenience of haveing a washer and dryer. Well done.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

The location of this cottage is actually attached to a diner at the Sierra Lakes campground. The diner has a great view of a small lake, the cottage only looks at a hillside. The campground area is pretty but in bad disrepair. Children can find several broken down swings, chairs and bridges to hurt themselves. The pictures show a kitchen range with oven and the descriptions say complete kitchen, pots and pans, coffee maker. The kitchen does not have these. The oven doesn't work, not even any oven racks inside (not good since I brought a turkey to roast), no coffeemaker, and pots and pans are very limited. I purchased charcoal for the BBQ as stated in the details but when I arrived it turned out to be gas. Owner said he would bring a coffeemaker the next day, but never saw him or the coffeemaker in my 3-day stay. CD player worked intermittently. Smoke alarm was "churping" and needed a new battery. The place was not very clean and had cobwebs, dust, etc. everywhere. It may have not been used in quite some time. 3pm check in time, 11am check out time. Owner did let us check in 3 hours early. It is located fairly close to the Parks so it is good for Park access. If you plan to stay here, bring all your own kitchen equipment, CD player, and keep a close eye on young kids to keep them out of danger.Owner response: Try us again..... You are correct the loccation is great and the campground area is pretty. The cottage has big windows with great views of the outdoors. Yes, there is a hillside and scenery beyond. Thank you for your constructive comments. We wanted to respond and let you know the swings and bridges are being repaired, the kitchen is fully stocked with additional pots/pans & coffee maker. The oven has been repaired and smoke alarm batteries have been replaced. Additionally, the cottage is extra clean. Give us another chance if you are ever in the area again. Warm regards, Melinda
