  My girlfriend and I stayed at the studio for 1 amazing week! Matt and Melissa were great hosts. The studio was exactly as shown and discribed. It really was walking distance to beach and the town. I would recommend this rental to others. I wish we were still there :)

  Great place! Tucked round the corner of the main part of the owner's house with private small outside space with shower. Inside it has really nice and tasteful deco. We had a lovely few days stay here. We arrived on New Years Eve, spent time at the beach and local restaurants. Went to Dolphin and Postcards, both were excellent and new years drinks in one of the lively bars. The location of the studio is a short walk to both the beach and shops/bar area. The Island is small enough to visit every part. We were unlucky with the rain in Hanalei during our stay but it is generally worth getting in the car as other parts of the island are probably likely to be less wet. Worth driving the canyon road and also a highlight for us was a helicopter ride from Princeville around the island and over the spectacular Na Pali coast. Book here for a clean, pleasant and modern studio in the centre of Hanalei. Perfect for just two people. Enjoy!

  We spent 8 fantastic nights in this studio which was spotlessly clean and so comfortable. It had everything we needed, was so close to town and the beach and Melissa, Matt and family were excellent hosts. We spent most evenings out and about trying out the restaurants but really enjoyed the barbecue supplied and relaxing on the private deck. The weather was perfect for a holiday - not one day of rain which apparently is unusual so we took great advantage of all the trails on offer in the area and had a brilliant stay. There are also beach towels, chairs and an ice box available which we took full advantage of. All in all an absolutely amazing holiday. Can't wait to return and do it all over again. I would recommend this rental to any couple looking for a rental in Hanalei.

  This is a great studio rental right in the center of it all! My husband was able to walk to the beach to surf and I was able to head into town for my yoga classes so easily. The studio is well taken care of and very clean, and it has just what you need.

  This studio is immaculate, beautiful and in the perfect location. Looks brand new with beautiful floors, an amazing bathroom and shower, large closet and windows lining two walls. We loved the covered porch for morning coffee or tea. You can walk to town and walk to the beach. The owners were very friendly- available if you need them but won't bother you if you don't. I will say that because the studio is attached to the house you can and will hear some house/family noise but it didn't bother us. Overall this is a great place to stay at a great price.

  this was our first trip to kauai and we fell in love with hanalei bay. this rental was absolutely perfect! the location cannot be beat - it's walking distance to hanalei bay, hanalei yoga and all the local shops and restaurants. the studio was amazingly private and secluded, impeccably decorated with gorgeous hardwood floors and felt like a 5 start hotel. my boyfriend and i eneded up getting engaged while here and will definitely be coming back! thank you!

  We stayed in the Hamai Family’s guest suite in Jan of 2012 and had such a wonderful experience. The location simply cannot be beat. It’s within walking distance of all of the best restaurants, beaches, and shops in Hanalei. There are no hotels in Hanalei, so a house is definitely the way to go if you stay in the North Shore. If you stay in Princeville you have to drive to the beaches and restaurants and traffic can be onerous in the North. The suite is beautiful, spacious, and very comfortable. It has a small refrigerator, plates, bowls, utensils, and a barbeque outside which make for easy and inexpensive meals. The family is friendly but not at all intrusive, allowing for privacy and comfort. Fantastic spot to stay!

  If you want to visit Kauai, there is no better place to stay. We rented a car and traveled around whole island, it is really beautiful, but Hanalei is simply magic! We loved it, the beach is perfect, you are swimming and watching waterfalls in mountains! Studio is close to everything, nice design, new, clean, comfortable, private, with bodyboards and everything you need for your stay. Matt and Mel are very nice people, you will feel like visiting friends. It is much better than staying in hotel or resort, it is like living on Kauai for a while! We wish to stay longer and we will never forget those 5 days we spent there. Happy to found this studio, highly recommended to everyone!

  My husband and I spent ten days in this very tastefully designed studio that became our Hanalei home away from home right away. We really enjoyed the privacy it provides, while having the convenience of a private home and resident family nearby. The location is superb, being at walking distance from main restaurants and beach. The owners, Matt and Mel, are delightful people who communicated with us extensively before our arrival (torrential rain and flooding a few days before our expected arrival, and closed Hanalei bridge), and helped us with valuable tips. They even supplied the studio with all sorts of extra items and staples, just in case. Fortunately, we did not have to use any of them, but it showed how much they care about their temporary tenants. I can go on and on... the bottom line is that we highly recommend renting this Hanalei studio.

  My 11 year old son and I arrived to Mel and Matt's gorgeous hideaway exhausted and jet lagged. My son's first comments upon arrival were ' this is a 5 Star Hotel.... .. .. wow" New, luxurious, and beautifully designed; a gorgeous comfy bed and country setting welcomed us. The host family offered ideas for adventure, nearby gems to visit and even kept track of the water levels for crossing the bridge when the rain started to soothe this lush tropical Paradise. The studio was designed in a way to resemble a luxurious suite as opposed to a rental studio. We had our own private gate/entrance, balcony and yard which really felt like a home away from home. THe home was very quiet and the fresh air was incredible for sleeping. I would recommend this opportunity to experience Paradise in style to everyone who wants a holiday in a fabulous home of their own. The two boys offered to teach my son about surf boards and their repairs and included him with their other friends immediately. I hope you take advantage of visiting Paradise in Hanalei ... It will change your life! SInce our visit mid October, we have now moved there. Thanks Mel and Matt and the boys... .....for Everything...:)
