  My family stayed over Christmas 2012, touring San Francisco, visiting family in Marin County and driving to wine country and the coast. This house was a fantastic central location with easy access to the 101, the main road to everywhere. The town of San Rafael offers everything you need to make it a home base for time in the San Francisco area. Besides the great location, the house itself was very comfortable, very clean and matched the description. The floor plan was great. It gave my wife and me the main floor while the kids slept in the bedrooms below. They could turn in early without stopping the adults from spending time together in the living/dining rooms. As a sign of the welcoming spirit of the owners, we arrived on 12/22 to find the house decorated for Christmas including a lit tree with ornaments and decorations throughout. That was a great touch and helped everyone settle in our home away from home. If we return to the area for another visit, we will be sure to book this house again.

  Thank you for providing us with a superb home away from home. The weather was awesome and your home felt welcome to us each time we returned to it. Your spacious home allowed us to hold a luncheon to thank all the people that helped support our "Taki" with her time at Dominican University. We walked the length of the GG Bridge,explored the tree lined streets of SR, shopped at North Gate Mall and Vacaville. We also explored SF on the last day here. Our last night we attended a SF Giants baseball game. An experience we'll never forget, for all good reasons. Also, some of our group went to a night club or two. Another experience we will never forget. It was a culture shock, yet showed our younger members that the world is vast, varying and potentially bigger than we ever realized. Thank you so much.

  The location was convenient to our relatives and our kids had a great time. We enjoyed Marin Headlands, Muir Woods, Muir Beach and San Francisco. Thanks for a great house AND for the use of ALL the toys!

  We stayed in this home from 5/18/12 to 5/22/12. The home was even better than what the owner listed in her online description! The yard and surrounding gardens were well maintained and, the location of the house was very private and quiet! My husband, mother-in-law and two teenagers all stayed here. It was just great! There was even coffee and other welcome items left for us! It took us approximately 20 to 25 minutes to reach downtown San Francisco to do sightseeing. The owners were an absolute pleasure to deal with and, I would recommend this vacation rental to anyone going into the bay area for vacation. I just can't say enough good things about our stay here!! Thanks again for letting us stay in your beautiful home!

  We are a family of 5 who came all the way from Toronto to enjoy the beauty of California and the nice sun. Firstly the house located in a very convenient place close to SF. The house was clean, bright, lean and very comfortable to stay for a family of 5. In general all of our needs were satisfied. We enjoyed the owner's hospitality enormously. We had an issue with the Wi-Fi, which was immediately addressed by the owner. I would recommend this place for anyone searching for a vacation house near SF.

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, families with young children, age 55+.
