  Tuckaway has become my favorite rental on the island, and I have rented about every house there is to rent! The location is very close and walkable to the village and beach. But it is the house itself I fell in love with. It has an amazing front porch with beautiful hanging ferns and a great back deck for sunning. The interior is nicely appointed with heart of pine floors and an open floor plan for living, dining and kitchen. The cathedral ceiling soars up to the wonderful second floor which is like a suite for a couple or for the kids to hang out. Two nice bedrooms, two full baths, a big screen TV and very private. The fenced in yard is great for pups and the owners are accommodating and generous! You don't want to miss a vacation stay at Tuckaway!!

  We rented this home for a few days for our children and their families totaling 8 people, including a toddler. Everyone had plenty of room, the 4 bathrooms were wonderful, and the floor plan was great. The kitchen has everything you could possible need and there were plenty of linens. It was a quick walk to the beach and the village area. We plan to come back with friends very soon!

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

  Our recent stay in St. Simons was wonderful! The house was even better than described and suited our needs perfectly! Would definitely consider this property again when visiting the island. Easy walk to the village and a perfect bike ride to the beach! The only negative experience was that we could have used more wash cloths in the bathrooms. Other than that, it was absolutely perfect!

  Tuckaway Cottage is magical... This is not your typical vacation rental-this is truly a home! It's beyond spacious and each bedroom is not only enormous but also situated such that each of the three couples traveling in our party felt like we had our own space and were not on top of one another! We biked into town each night for dinner... A short 5 minute ride (if that!). The beach was equally close to the house ( we found dozens of pristine sand dollars... Though we left them in the ocean for others to find, too!). Some restaurant recommendations: 4th of May Cafe (try the Grouper Reuben!)... ZuZu's Burgers (try pimento cheese on it!), Barbara Jeans (shrimp & grits crazy good!). If Tuckaway Cottage is available for your next stay on St. Simons Island you should jump on it! THE best rental experience I've ever had!

  The house was absolutely gorgeous. I was not expecting what we got. The house had a ton of amenities and my group loved every minute of being in that house. Lots of space, nice tvs with tons of channels, good size back yard with back deck and grill which was awesome to just kick back outside. The beach was less than a 10 minute walk away. The people renting the house were so nice and easy to deal with. Very easy to get in touch with. I had no problems with the house. I would recommend it to anyone! Cant wait to go back next year!

  My wife and I had a great getaway in this relaxing home. It is a short walk from the best of the island, but in a private garden retreat in the middle of the village. The house was beautiful and the owners had everything perfect for guests. It was a fairly large space but felt cozy. We would definitely stay again.

  What a beautiful home in the perfect location to enjoy all St. Simon's has to offer. The ammenities inside home can't be beat! And the back deck was the perfect place to start and end our wonderful days on the island. I can't wait to go back!
