The Golden Girls spent a week in this fabulous house....celebration of dear friend's big 60 could not have had a better location. Easy, peaceful feeling accentuated by the daily visits of deer, turkey, blue birds and outstanding views of the Pacific coastline. This house is quiet and only a road trip away from breathtaking memories...don't hesitate taking Highway One to experience it all. Peri's Beach House is and was a great vacation hideaway.

We rented Peri's beach house for a short family vacation. It was just what I wanted; a beautiful view, lovely and comfortable, dog and kid friendly, very clean and organized. Shortly after our three grandson's arrived, the oldest (age 5) said, "I feel like I'm at home." That says it all!

Perfect Get-Away House

We were seven moms in need of a weekend get-away from Humboldt County. This home could not have been more perfect. Bodega Bay is so beautiful and feels very remote, yet is about a half hour's drive from Santa Rosa and also from the wonderful Russian River Wine area. The house is described accurately. It is nicely appointed and well-kept, yet it doesn't give the feel that one cannot relax. It is cozy and comfortable. The hot tub is quite large and has an amazing view of the ocean. Each evening we were greeted by a group of 10-12 deer. It felt very private. My communications with the owner were always very prompt and she was always gracious and accomodating. We all can't wait until next year!

What a great vacation home, in Bodega Bay! Very clean and very well appointed. We were not lacking anything in the kitchen and had a great time preparing our meals at the house. The descriptions and photos are accurate to what we found. We also loved the flora and fauna we discovered while walking to and from Portuguese Beach. The owners were very helpful with suggestions on dining and shopping. We highly recommend stopping at Wild Flour Bread Bakery, in Freestone, if you travel through Sebastopol. The have fantastic bread to go with your Bodega Bay clam chowder. Our young adult kids, loved the furnishings and the colors. We had a fantastic weekend! We will definitely be back.

Great ocean experience

Great views of the ocean from all rooms. The owner was really great and helpful with respect to booking and our arrival. The place was exceptionally clean at our arrival and we specifically noticed how clean the windows were (important considering the views). Nice kitchen that is fully stocked. Beds are very comfortable, although I'm not a fan of flannel sheets, although I didn't think to look around for regular sheets and as well stocked as this house was with towels and such, I'm sure there were some around somewhere.

We've visited here two years in a row and it's just perfect. We love hanging out on the deck, the walk to Portuguese Beach, and the big yard for our dog. It's a great spot from which to explore the entire area. Extremely clean and comfortable. And the hot tub is awesome!

I'm Addicted to the Beach House!

Well, I will confess that this is my fourth time visiting the Beach House, and I am already planning my next trip! This is just such a magical place! I have been there with my family twice (husband and two boys, ages 8 and 10), and I have been there with my girlfriends twice. Whether I am at the beach house with my family or with my friends, it has everything I could possibly want. I savor my morning ritual of waking up before everybody else and drinking my coffee by the window, looking out at the ocean. And as the day unfolds, we always take a morning walk down to Portuguese beach and an afternoon drive to any of the other beaches, where the kids run wildly up and down the sand dunes or we look for sand dollars near the water. We alternate cooking yummy meals and going down to the Wharf for clam chowder and french bread. For me, Bodega Bay is paradise, and there is no other place I would rather stay than at Peri's Beach House. Ardelle is such a gracious host, the house is absolutely charming, and the amenities are beyond what I have ever received in a vacation rental. This home is truly a treasure, and I am so grateful to have found it!

A place that catches the heart

This is my second visit to this lovely Bodega Bay rental property. Once again, I couldn't have been happier with the accommodations. The house is nicely furnished and clean, and the beds and pillows are very comfortable (a plus for someone with a sore neck!) I love the charm of the decorations and the views from the windows that look out on to the rugged ocean. The fog just makes you feel more cosy as you pull your chair next to the wood fire oven. There is something special about the feel of this house; perhaps it is the love the owner has for the property and the good experiences of the guests over the years, but I always feel privileged to be there and to experience its peacefulness. I am looking forward to my next visit when I will get together with friends and family and visit the beautiful beaches and sand dunes. Once again I'll look forward to cooking a meal in the lovely, well stocked kitchen and enjoying dinner with my loved ones. I even had a fantasy about renting the home all to myself one weekend. It is that special.

Relaxing and Accomodating

My wife and I and our little rescue dog thoroughly enjoyed our stay. You cannot find more accomodations anywhere. Our dog figured out the doggie door in nothing flat and it is a great attribute. We enjoyed the gas fireplace and hot tub. The beach is a pleasant short walk and from the house there is a wonderful view of the ocean. The hosts are truly very kind and helped to make our stay very pleasant. We recommend a stay at the beach house for anyone who wishes to relax and enjoy all of the ammenities you would have at home.

Perfect Getaway for Family of 5 plus Dog

This house was a perfect fit for our family of 3 teens, one dog, and two parents who needed a getaway. The views were spectacular, 5 minute walk to Portuguese Beach a must, hot tub under the stars shielded from wind a special treat, dog-friendly features (tile throughout the downstairs, hose in fenced- in backyard, doggie treats) were perfect, beds comfortable, kitchen superbly stocked, house in tip-top shape. The owner was very professional and accommodating, too. We hope to return, maybe with Grandma!

What a JEWEL!! We found the Peri "Beach house" online while searching for a pet friendly place to stay on our annual visit to one of the Inn at the Tides crab feeds. The warmth and character of this property far exceeded our expectations and we only wish we had booked for a longer stay. Very well thought out floor plan with exceptional views in all directions. Ardelle was an absolute delight to work with and we are looking forward to our first opportunity to return.

This property is fantastic. The views from every location in and out of the house are spectacular. The sunsets are beautiful. The house is so fully stocked there is not a want for anything. It is clean and so cozy by the freestanding gas fire place. Perfect for having your coffee in the morning and wine at night. There were 8 of us, ages ranging from 3 to 61, and we all had a wonderful time. It is only a short walk to the beach. The wildlife is amazing, and so fun to watch, especially from the sun warmed deck. Plus it is a great kite flying, ball playing spot. Ardelle Peri was so helpful and easy to work with. She was always available to answer questions or help make your visit a great one.

We had a wonderful stay at Peri's Beach house. The house is set on a hill overlooking the ocean. The sunset views are incredible. The house itself is lovely and very well stocked. The kitchen has coffee, spices and loads of equipment. There are toiletries in the bathroom and hundreds of towels (so don't take any!) The kids really loved all the games too. The hot tub is brilliant and we were fortunate enough to have fantastic weather too so we really enjoyed this facility. Overall a really wonderful place to relax. 2 days was not long enough!

Outstanding home! Loved the wildlife, beach access and home. Our family will definitely return! Home was very clean, spacious and accommodating. Working with the owner was a breeze. My grandkids loved watching the deer in the front yard and walking down to the beach (very easy walk). The weather was perfect as well. Absolutely no complaints!

A group of four long time girlfriends enjoyed this home for our recent getaway. We found the house very clean and had all the essentials of home. Many towels (even beach towels!), soaps, and kitchen basics. Each of the beds were extra comfortable (we all commented on that!). We enjoyed the visits from local critters and the view from both outdoor seating areas was amazing as it was from the main living area. This is a fabulous rental and I will recommend it to friends.

My family and I spent 3 wonderful days celebrating my husband's 60th birthday. Ardelle Peri's Bodega Bay property was absolutely wonderful. The accommodations were exceptional and the house was well equipped. We lacked for nothing. The walk to the beach was less than 5 minutes and the view is exceptional. We've rented homes in Santa Barbara, Sea Ranch, Pacific Grove and Bodega Bay. Your house, definitely, had the best views. We saw deer and wild turkeys almost every day. The house is very well suited for people who have brought their dogs. There is a fenced backyard and much of the interior is tiled. My wife and I would rent this house again.

Heavenly Getaway for sisters birthday celebrations

Oh my goodness! What a wonderful experience working with Ardelle the property owner. Everything was a breeze. The place was so nice and comfy. Because we had two large dogs the tile floors in the main living area was perfect. We were expecting sunny weather but that wasn't in the cards so we were happy to stay inside due to the wonderful ambience inside and outside the home. The house was fully stocked but I never travel light so we didn't want for anything because what I forgot Ardelle had there. When the sun came out the views were magnificent. Plenty of walking areas for the dogs and we got plenty of excercise taking them. I only had one issue to deal with and that is the meat bees on the outside flowers wanting to come in the house. I'm allergic so it was important that Ardelle even had the fly swatter to battle them. I would recommend this house to anyone but not too many of you because we want to make this an annual "Sisters" getaway and we need to have some vacant days available again for us. WE LOVED IT!

A delightful place to spend a week

We chose Peri's Beach House for a week-long family getaway and to ring in my 40th birthday. We could not have picked a better place. The home is charming, clean, and is well stocked with just about everything. The views are great and we enjoyed the short walk to beautiful Portuguese Beach, where we were fortunate enough to watch gray whales for hours on two of the days we visited. We had friends and family stay with us a few of the days and there was ample room for everyone. The house is well cared for and of quality, with comfortable beds and linens and lots and lots of towels. We really loved our visit and will likely return again to this charming home. Also, if you are fortunate to get a clear night at Bodega Bay, do not miss the stargazing. It is unbelievably gorgeous.

Perfect way to beat the heat

My wife and I decided to leave AZ With our 2 HUGE DOGS to beat the heat. I asked Ardel about traveling with the dogs and she had no problem. To put it in perspective our dogs are about 150 lbs each, with long white fur The backyard was fenced and the floors are tile. The house was perfect, the view is magnificent and Ardel made our vacation even better. Everything you need is in the house, Including a flat screen HD Tv. There are a great deal of wineries from Sebastopol to Sonoma amd many were pet friendly, we woild highly recommend Balletto, Martin Ray , and B R Cohn. The dogs were treated like celebrities in the tasting rooms and we went along for the ride, We had not been to the Sonoma wine region for quite a while, and we will not go back to Napa after this trip. The tastings were uncrowded, the people more friendly, the quality on a par and at a fraction of the cost, Yhere was mo charge for the tastings unlike Napa where some wineries may charge up to $50 PER TASTIING The only slight negative was some the beach entries may offer a challenge to small children or the elderly If you a are travelling with pets there is a nice little dog park in Sebastapol. as well as Safeway and Whole Foods. All in all it was a great vacation and we would not hesitate to refer family or friends. Bruce and Jacqui

Wow - we had a truly wonderful time here. The location is gorgeous - a panoramic view of the ocean in the distance, a fantastic field in the foreground for kite flying and wildlife viewing. The house is well-kept, comfortable, and very well-stocked with lots of towels, kitchen basics, etc.; and ample enough for our party of 6 adults and 2 small kids. Loved the hot tub, and all the comfortable outdoor space - great for our kids, and our dog.

The home conveys welcome the minute the door is unlocked. It is well appointed, very comfortable and the surrounding area quiet. The fenced back yard is charming and lots of room in the front yard. This is the perfect place to leave hectic daily life behind, breathe in the salt air and enjoy the coast. The easy walk to Portuguese beach several times a day yielded few people. The spa provides relaxation, a wonderful view of the ocean and remarkable sunsets. An extra bonus allows pet family members, treats included. Ardelle is very responsive and a delight to work with. We had a great time and would definitely return to this home.

We headed to Bodega Bay for a wedding and could not have been more happy with this home we rented for the weekend. It was FULLY stocked with all the comforts of home, including TONS of towels and practically every serving dish and kitchen utensil imaginable. The home is ideal for couples (and families) all looking for a bit of their own space - three patios, one with a fabulous ocean view hot tub, made this home feel spacious and gave us all room to relax. Ardelle was also extremely easy to work with - she was prompt with any questions we had about the home and the Bodega area and made the whole renting process a breeze. You can tell she takes great pride in her home and it shows. We loved our visit so much that we have vowed to make this an annual event!

This is the best vacation rental I've ever stayed at by far. The house is beautifully decorated and stocked with everything you could possibly need (tons of towels, dog treats, cooking essentials, oils, spices, condiments, etc). It is also a walk from a gorgeous beach and less than 2 miles from incredible trails that take you through peaceful meadows along the coastline. I will definitely come back and highly recommend to anyone looking for a pet friendly vacation house for their family or to share with friends.

OMG, It was just the two of us but the house can accommodate probably up to 10 folks easily. We were blown away by the owner's stock of shampoos, soaps, you name it she had it. Kitchen fully stocked. The views were awesome from both the downstairs and the loft, which is huge. Computer, cable TV...fire place, and the jacuzzi was awesome. Since it was a bit cold and windy, my husband and I spent a lot of time in the jacuzzi. Doggie friendly and my little Yorkie poo loved running up and down in the front two acres of the lot and watching us take jacuzzis. Plus he had a doggie door to go in and out of in the back yard. Saw plenty of deer, the place has views from the back yard, front yard, and jacuzzi area. I can't wait to go back. I rented from VRBO before, but this owner takes care of you! No strict rules, or cleaning rules, although we only slept in one of the many beds, so I hope the maid didn't go to the trouble of changing all the bedding. Very clean, beds totally comfortable, games for the kids, washer/dryer..... My husband was in need of some dental flash one night and I forgot to pack it. Sure enough, the owner had some in her bathroom stash. Even batteries for the remote controls...I don't even keep my own house this stocked! The decor has given me some new ideas for my own home - go for beautiful beach colors!! Truly enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend this place...BBQ, backyard, views, jacuzzi, comfortable beds and bedding, plenty of towels and plenty of supplies.....great place!!!

Beach house in Bodega Bay: 386069

I highly recommend this beautiful beach house in Bodega. We had such a lovely weekend there, and on Sunday I really didn't want to leave. The house is bright, beautifully decorated and all of the rooms are comfortable, airy, warm when you need them to be. There are lots of windows for fresh air and light and nice shades too. The beds are very comfortable with luxurious bedding. Kids love the loft and they played non stop. The views are gorgeous and it was so fun to walk along the beach and play on the sand dunes. The house is clean, well organized, stocked and comfortable. It is obvious the owner put a lot of love and care into the house, and she really wants everyone to enjoy themselves. The house really reflects her kindness and warmth. We loved our stay and we hope to come again soon.

Perfect Spot to Meet Old Friends!

What an amazing weekend we had! Me and my nine year old son flew out from Colorado to meet up with my old friend from graduate school and her eight year old daughter. It was the perfect place for our reunion! My friend and I were able to spend hours visiting at the house and on the beach while our kiddos ran up and down the sand dunes or played in the loft at the beach house. The house was cozy and clean, and the kids stayed so busy playing in the hot tub, running in the grass, and playing games, that they didn't once turn on the television. We were able to cook delicious meals, and the kitchen was completely stocked with every spice and utensil we could have needed. Honestly, I think Ardelle has thought of everything; we could not have wanted for anything during our stay! I highly recommend Peri's Beach House, and I am anxious to visit again this fall! Thank you!!

Sister's 40th Bday Family Weekend

5 of us sisters and our parents spent the weekend at Peri's Beach House and we had a fabulous time! We loved the house, it is decorated with charm and is super cute and "beachy". Ardelle even put up a Happy Birthday sign at the house, which was such a sweet surprise for my sis! Everything was easy. We have rented houses in the past, and there are such complicated directions for checking out, like washing towels, stripping beds, etc, but at Peri's beach house, we just had to lock up and leave!! We loved that she had real shampoo and lotions, etc not teeny tiny sample sizes. We giggled and laughed and instead of going out to dinner, we actually spent both nights in the house and cooked just bc it was so comfortable to do so! Thank you for everything!

We returned for another visit, and were pleased to find everything just as charming as our first stay. The house was clean, well appointed, and had everything our family needed. We were even able to whip up some banana muffins one night at the request of my daughter thanks to those key ingredients you have stocked (sugar, oil, muffin tins, etc). Thank you for your thoughtful hospitality & another wonderful stay! Our family has definitely found a favorite place to stay for a weekend beach get-away.

First Class Accommodations

We arrived late on a Friday night after a long work week. The owner had left the lights on and a flashlight for us for our arrival. The accommodations were just as described and it was even more beautiful than I imagined. The bedrooms, kitchen, bathrooms were immaculate and the landscaping was very well groomed. There were plenty of towels, supplies and especially condiments in the house along with a man-size BBQ outside. The weather was perfect (around 88°) with slight breeze and the views are priceless. The beach is a short walk and the TIDES RESTAURANT is just several miles down the street. I spent my day on a salmon charter boat out of BODEGA HARBOR and caught 3 huge salmon. The girls went sightseeing and picture taking in GOAT ROCK BEACH. We discovered GOURMET AU BAY which is right next to the TIDES RESTAURANT. It's a place to go wine tasting and have a light snack or lunch while sitting on a deck by the water. Afterwards, went to get pampered at OSMOSIS DAY SPA SANCTUARY which is about 15 minutes away (in Freestone). When we got home, we jumped in this giant jacuzzi overlooking the ocean and watched this beautiful sunset while sipping our favorite drinks. The next day the girls attended a Catholic mass at St. Teresa Avila church in the town of Bodega and then got to see the remaining locations shown in the Alfred Hitchcock movie "The Birds". There are some quaint stores at the bottom of the hill from the church. One store was like an Alfred Hitchcock museum and sold a lot of memorabilia from "The Birds". For a change, we ate lunch at Lucas Wharf. Someday, we will come back again and try another restaurant and check out other activities. I would highly recommend this beautiful vacation home to my closest friends and family. Thanks Ardelle for making this home so warm, welcoming and comfortable!!

We had a fantastic time at your home. It worked out great for us. We walked to the beach. The kids played in teh big open spaces. We sat under the stars in the hot tub. Overall, very relaxing. We would love to stay again in the near future.

Gem of a house for three generations

This is an absolute gem of a vacation house and we had a brillant stay; the six of us (grandparents, parents, and two children, aged 7 and 5) are so very glad we came here! The property is in a super location - very quiet, but near to Highway one and the ocean. Plenty of beaches are just a short drive away and one is an easy walk away. The house is beautifuly appointed and is everything it says on the VRBO website - and more! We have rented at least twelve different VRBO houses over the last few years, and this one is of the highest quality, both for location and for what's inside. It was spotlessly clean with excellent WiFi links. There were many thoughtful welcoming touches, including fresh flowers and a generous supply of toiletries and also a bottle of wine chilling in the fridge. We like to cook and the kitchen was very well-supplied with eveeryhtign we needed, both in equipment and food items like herbs and spices, packets and tins. It is the best kitchen we've ever found in a vacation house. The children loved their upstairs loft bedroom and the vast grassy space outside, as well and the toys and board games. There was a generous amount of linens provided for our use, including beach/hot-tub towels. The whole family loved the hot-tub on the deck - you can watch the stars from here, on a clear night. Loads of wildlife can be seen from the house and in the area. (One evening there were ten deer wandering around our grass and the other local houses). The area offers various interesting things to do and places to go. Sadly we had indifferent weather (some rain) but the house was a DELIGHT to be in.

We rendezvoused with two other couples here and found Ardelle's Beach House met our needs perfectly. The description and pictures are very accurate. Very clean and well appointed. It's location on two acres provides some nice space around you and it's safe for pets. Great view and just a short walk to the beach. I'd strongly recommend this place!

This property was perfect for our family and two dogs. The house has everything and more that anyone would need. Just bring your own clothes. We would love to return over and over. The house and yard was very clean and user friendly. Large washer and dryer, comfortable beds and lots of blankets to curl up with. Gas fireplace that warmed you up while the rain came down outside. The owner were so friendly and helpful in whatever we needed. Wonderful stay and we loved that we had our animals with us.

Our family enjoyed a wonderful vacation at Peri's Beach house. It was clean, cozy, and comfortable with all the amenities we needed. The view was fabulous and the fenced in backyard was perfect for our dog (and our 2 yr. old son). Our kids loved the upstairs loft, and we enjoyed the gas fireplace. Thank you for such a great, relaxing vacation!

We had a wonderful time at the beach house! Absolutely everything we needed was at the house! WE had 8 people in our group and fit very comfortably. The view was gorgeous, the hot tub relaxing, the beds comfortable, and overall, it is a great house! We would love to go back sometime in the future! Thank you for sharing this home with us!

The photos listed do not do this place justice. The view and sunset are simply amazing! Just minutes from crabbing and stores, this place is on a nifty cul-de-sac. Just note the circuit breaker panel is on the outside since we were running too many space heaters. This place was stocked beyond my expectations and it is rather difficult to run out of anything here. It had some nice attention to detail and cute knick knacks here and there. Ex: extra doggie bowls and treats. The bed in the master bedroom can be a tad too creaky but this place sleeps people quite comfortably! The owner Ardelle is prompt, courteous, and diligent with her responses to any questions you might have. She really goes the extra mile to make sure you enjoyed your stay. The white board asks for feedback and anything written she will follow up on. Once you stay here, you may have just have found your new go to getaway at Bodega Bay. Thanks Ardelle for an unforgettable stay!

More than we hoped for!

What a great Thanksgiving we had at Peri's Beach House! We just spent a week there and had the time of our lives. For a couple of days, we had four adults and four children in the house, and we all fit very comfortably; for the rest of the trip we had three adults and two children, and there was plenty of space for all of us. Our boys, ages 7 and 9 spent hours running up and down the grassy hill in front of the house and playing catch on the quiet cul de sac. We were only minutes from the beaches, and enjoyed using all the sand toys Ardelle provides. She also had a boogie board, which the boys used to "sled" down the sand dunes at Salmon Creek Beach. We are from Colorado, so we got a kick out of "California Sledding!" We simply could not have had a better week! We wanted a quiet family vacation, and that is exactly what we got. Peri's Beach House is not near any busy streets and has an amazing view of the ocean. I relished my mornings drinking coffee in front of the "wall of windows" in the living room, windows that look directly out to the ocean. We had everything we needed to make delicious home meals, and there was plenty of counter space in the kitchen for a couple of us to be cooking. The bedrooms were beautiful and very clean. The kids slept in the loft and kind of turned it into their own little apartment. It was so cozy there and they spent their evening hours drawing, playing games, and reading in the loft. I would recommend this place without hesitation. Bodega Bay is an amazing vacation location with its beaches and delicious seafood, and Peri's Beach House is the perfect sanctuary to return to throughout the day and evening.
