This family owned vacation home is located on the southwest end of this 20+ mile long very clear picturesque Lake Leelanau. The sunrises are spectacular! The home is located at the end of a private road which gives a nice environment for the kids away from traffic.
It is available year-round with air-conditioning. During the summer, a pontoon boat is available for rent - in the winter, snowmobiles are available for rent. How many places have you seen with 2 -1/2 baths for your convenience?
The house is located within 50 feet of the water's edge.
Lake Leelanau is an all sports lake for boating, water skiing, with great fishing for walleye and bass. Within two blocks of a public boat launch. Sandy bottom, shallow shore line with great swimming for kids; waist deep water at end of 190 foot dock. You can take a boat right across the lake for a bar/restaurant or take the boat a few miles to the town of Lake Leelanau, Leland, or Cedar for excellent dining, sight-seeing or shopping. Gas service for your boat is available at several locations on the lake.
The house has three bedrooms and sleeps eight. The main bedroom has a king size bed with private bathroom. The other two bedrooms have a double bed and a day bed (the day bed is convertible to twin beds or another king bed). The living room has a sofa which will convert to a queen bed.
The dining room/sun room is glassed and has a sliding glass door providing a great view of the lake. No Smoking. No Pets, local kennel is only 20 minutes away.
There is a fire pit just a few yards from the lake. A kayak is available for your enjoyment. Sand box for youngsters with sand box toys.
This waterfront home is just a short drive from Lake Michigan, Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park, Shopping at Glen Arbor, Leland, Lake Leelanau, Suttons Bay, Traverse City. Golf is nearby at Leelanau Club, Sleeping Bear Golf or Kings Challenge Golf Course. Two Casinos - Leelanau Sands Casino in Suttons Bay and Turtle Creek Casino in Williamsburg.
Laptop computer provided with high speed internet access and wireless available. Great get-away for family vacation, color tour, skiers, hunting, snowmobilers, fishermen, golf, shoppers, and gamblers.

We came all the way from Texas and the house and area did not disappoint. The house was very clean and well appointed, everything from great sunrises and a well equipted kitchen to laundry facilities. The shallow sandy bottom was great for hanging out and anchoring our jet ski. We'd come back in a minute.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The property was clean as a whistle and well kept. It is apparent that the owners appreciate their treasure and it is wonderful that they are willing to share it with others. The amenities offered here including computer, internet, and cable tv added to the enjoyment for those times when we weren't outdoors. The owners have thoughtfully provided many essentials including a well-appointed kitchen and many of the amenities that one would expect from a hotel. The lake house is conveniently located to all that the peninsula has to offer as well as being just a short distance from Traverse City. We loved relaxing on Lake Leelanau, docking our rented pontoon boat at the Bluebird in Leland for yet another delicious meal, shopping in the many beach towns, touring the area wineries, taking in the exquisite surroundings in Leelanau county, marveling at the Sleeping Bear Dunes, eating the many specialty local foods sold at Pleva's and Bunting's markets and Cherry Republic, experiencing new restaurants such as Art's Tavern, kayaking up the shoreline, enjoying morning coffee with the million dollar sunrise and watching the ducklings grow right before our eyes. I would highly recommend this rental property and can't wait to return.

We have had a tremendous time at this property for the past three years. The cottage is very clean and well equipped. We love going to Northern Michigan in the fall. We really enjoyed our stay in Larry and Jackie's house. It was very clean and well equipped and the lake was great for swimming. The location is very convienent and is only 20 minutes from Traverse City, Sutton's Bay, Leland, etc.

Larry and Jackie's cottage on Lake Leelanau is a perfect vacation spot. The cottage is immaculate and very well-equipped, and the open living/dining/kitchen works great for casual vacation living. We spent lots of time reading and playing with our son in the yard. An idyllic lakeside location.

We had a wonderful week at Lake Leelanau! The cottage was the best equipped we have ever stayed in! Everything we could possibly need was there. Everything was perfectly clean. It was a wonderful cottage for young children. Our children loved the shallow water, the sand box and the kayak. We would recommend this cottage highly! Thank you Larry and Jackie for a great week!

Larry & Jackie have the perfect place for our family vacation. The house has all that is needed for our stay. This was the first year we took our family of six "Up North" with us.It is well maintained,well stocked, peaceful, spacious and a central location for all the "sights" in Leelanau County/Traverse area.
