The Hideaway is a private, quaint cottage tucked in a Downtown Old Town Fort Collins residential neighborhood for your quiet enjoyment yet a 3 block walk to shops and restaurants. This Single Family Home (entirely for your use with no shared walls) is set on a small, fenced lot with outdoor living on the front porch and a back patio with a gas grill. A newer home in an older neighborhood, The Hideaway was built in 2002 on a mature lot allowing the foliage to give a feeling of privacy in a quiet setting.
Inside, the main floor has a master bedroom with a gas fireplace, queen bed, and full en-suite master bathroom with 2 sinks. The gas fireplace can also be enjoyed from the living area which includes an open concept eating area, breakfast bar and kitchen - fully equipped with microwave, dishwasher, dishes, pots and pans and utensils. There is a powder room and laundry on main.
The lower level with daylight windows has a family room, 3/4 bathroom, and two bedrooms (one queen with brand new pillow top mattress/twin trundle).
This home is all about location, location, location. Across the street is a public library with a playground. A three block walk takes you to the heart of Old Town, Old Town Square, where you can enjoy all the stores and restaurants Old Town has to offer and borrow a bike from the Fort Collins Bike Library in the summertime. The Hideaway has easy access to local micro breweries, the Poudre River trail system and local events.

About the owner: We live in Old Town and absolutely love the walkability factor. Aside from work, family and house projects, we keep busy walking the dogs, going for runs, eating at local establishments and checking out local festivals.
Why the Owner Chose Fort Collins: It's great to have the option of owning a newer property in Old Town - less maintenance as a rental - and a possible future retirement home for us.
The Unique Benefits at this House: The Hideaway is a newer home in an old part of town with extra bathrooms and central air. Although newer, the house has charm, character - and a fireplace! It is a private single family home so renters do not have to share any walls, floors or ceilings with others. The location is one of the best in Old Town. This is a 400K+ home and we pride ourselves in offering clean and comfortable rentals that we ourselves would be happy to live in or invite our own friends or family to stay a while. We are kid and dog friendly and it makes us happy to hear people say the house is even nicer than the pictures show. The house is well stocked and we will continue to make improvements each year.
