--The house’s activities center in the great room located on the upper level, with deck access to expansive ocean views. Enjoy the views from the well-equipped kitchen which has bar seating for four (4) or while enjoying meals at the high-top dining room which seats eight (8). One of two family rooms faces a gas fireplace (seasonally available) and a 55” flat screen HD TV and Blu-ray/DVD with upgraded cable including HBO, Cinemax and Showtime. A cozy balcony overlook provides space for a desk and an additional table perfect for playing cards, as well as an easy check on activities in the lower level family room. This was the third year we rented Barrier Breaker, but the first year it was handled by Paramount Destinations. We really appreciated the "welcome basket" and the fact that the key was in the lock box when we arrived. The home owners had replaced the carpeting on the main floor which was a nice surprise. We had a slow bathroom drain and it was taken care of immediately. The Currituck Club's trolley service is very helpful, especially when you are there with small children who do not like to stay at the beach very long, so not everyone has to leave. We love that the pool is shaded in the afternoon, so the kids play all afternoon without worry of too much sun. We love this house and will return next summer.Did you find this review helpful? The house was nice and clean, just a little small in the dining area. There were nice views of the ocean and the tower room was a plus. The property management company, Paramount Destinations, was the best we have worked with in the 10+ years we have been going to the Outer Banks. Check in was electronic, they communicated via email throughout the week, and responded to our requests the same day. Overall it was a very nice trip.Did you find this review helpful? Once again we enjoyed our stay at Barrier Breaker. This was the second year we had been there, and it won't be the last.The children loved the pool,and riding the bikes in the neighbourhood.Once again the trolley took us to the beach, and when we were there lots of help with all our things.The children loved the sea and sand, and we all made some wonderful memories.<br/> The management company were very responsive to our calls. When we were unable to get the gas grill to work, the young man came back with a charcoal grill, and some charcoal for us. A day later the grill was repaired.
