  We were on the island for our son's wedding. The unit had a beautiful view of the beach. The place was very clean and had plenty of towels, linens and beach towels for use. We arrived on a Sunday when grocery stores are closed and the owner had fresh fruit on the table and water and fruit punch in the refridgerator for our use as well as inital paper goods. There was also two phone lines, one for free local use and one for free North American use. The beds and furniture were comfortable. There was a nearby restaurant Cimbaco which was good for breakfast. The rehearsal dinner was great at Casanova By The Sea in George Town.

  We had rented another 3 bedroom condo at the Cayman Reef Resort from Marc for a couple of years, but this was the first time we had stayed in 29. The view from the decks off the living room and the master bedrooms is spectacular. We watched the sunset every night as we enjoyed our cocktails on one of the decks. Combine that with the extraordinary conscientiousness on Marc's behalf to make sure everything in the condo is perfect, and this is definitely the place to stay on Seven Mile Beach if you have a group of four or more. Top notch in every respect.

  The condo couldn't be closer to the beach and the views were breathtaking. We thoroughly enjoyed our week in the Caymans. The owner was responsive and very helpful with our stay.

  Condo was beautiful / all appliances / electronics / washer dryer / computers were new and very upper end. Free phone line to call the States if needed. Cookware was great............on and on You couldn't ask for a better place to stay for a week or even a month. Owner was very helpful when asked for information about the condo while we were there

  Unit is perfect in every way. Nicely appointed, great location, great views! Definitely better than any hotel (well, maybe not the Ritz) and you can save money on your meals to make up the difference in costs. Everything on the website is accurate, just walk out the door to the beach and wade in to snorkel. Place 2 doors down to the right to rent anything watersports related you would need. We rented a car so we could explore the island, worth doing.

  When you work in a stressful environment you want your holiday to be a well deserved break for you and all your family. That is exactly what Cayman Reef Resort facilitates. The attention to detail is excellent and you have all amenities and information at hand. The location is perfect, right on Seven Mile Beach and within reach of bars, restaurants and facilities. While we rented a car the time we were there to explore the island, it's not necessary. The beach is on your doorstep and the environment is incredibly secure for a young family. This is the second time we have stayed in Cayman Reef Resort and it won't be our last. Thanks for a great holiday

  What a great stay! I know how hard it is to find the perfect unit on Seven Mile Beach, a unit that is yet affordable, big enough, clean and family friendly! Well, stop searching... you have found it here with unit #29. Located within Cayman Reef Resort and within walking distance to most places of interest on Seven Mile Beach. The condo itself is VERY well appointed with all you could need for your family vacation (computer, internet, phone line, washer/dryer, BBQ, printer, beach towels, basis amenities, beach toys, sun umbrellas, etc). It is one of the best equipped condo I've ever seen. The beach is gorgeous, I found the pictures did not do it justice. The sand is soft, the water is clear and calm and it is shallow for a good 25-30 feet, with some snorkelling possible a little further out. The resort offers a good sized saltwater pool, sun umbrellas, beach chairs and beautiful grounds. The resort is not brand new, but has been very well maintained throughout the years. During our stay, it was very quiet and we've had the beach and pool to ourselves for most of the week!! Our family truly enjoyed the gorgeous ocean views from our 2 balconies (located on the 2nd and 3rd floor of the resort). The unit is large, well lighted, the A/C worked well and most importantly, everything was clean. We quickly felt at home. The unit is on 2 floors, with the rooms being upstairs, which was really convenient to us, however families with toddlers should take this into consideration. The owner of the unit is great to deal with, the booking process was a breeze and the owner answered all our questions very quickly. He even sent me detailed maps and directions when I enquired about a specific store. He also called upon our arrival to make sure everything was all right and also kept in touch by email during our stay. I couldn't ask for more! We will definitely consider booking this unit again should we have the chance to go back to the beautiful Cayman Islands.

  Our family of 5 just got back from staying at Marc's place on Grand Cayman (#29). It was fantastic. The condo is very comfortable and has all of the amenities we needed for a great 11 days of diving and relaxing on one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean. The dive boat actually came to the beach each day and picked us up 30 feet from our place (definitely use Cayman Diving School). Everything is within walking distance including Georgetown (for us anyway). There is a very nice supermarket nearby where we bought groceries and then cooked many of our meals at the condo which is a money saver. Just a great place..and the pool has really warm water as well which can be rare in the Caribbean! We have been many places in the Caribbean and Pacific rim and this one is definitely on our return list! Marc even called a couple times to make sure things were OK. we almost always rent a home where we travel and I have never had an owner this thoughtful to his guests.

  Was trying to find something reasonable on SMB but didn't want to sacrifice comfort, cleanliness or location. We got just what we were looking for. We don't need all the "bells and whistles" that a lot of places are going to have, but we want a good sleep in a place we can relax in a good location. The location is great, being right on SMB. It is a second and third floor unit with the entrance at the rear (away from the beach). There is a stairwell right outside the door and from the bottom of the stairs, you basically just have to walk past your own unit to the beach. It is an awesome beach, and there is some snorkeling to be had right out front. Saw a turtle and a school? of bobtail squid. The unit itself is in a perfect location in relation to the rest of the complex. Others here paid less for similar accommodations, but we have 4 kids under 10 and there is something to be said for being able to run back and for to the room for a sandwich, or a snorkel, or a diaper or a beer. As far as comfort, the beds were wonderful with two queens and a king. Our oldest slept in the living room on the inflatable mattress. Big screen TV (46 or bigger), washer and dryer, free wifi with a computer all set-up (leave yours at home) dishwasher, A/C, waves as you fall asleep at night. If I could say anything negative, and I will so you don't think I'm a friend of the owner, some of the features are a bit dated. Not bad, not like going to Hawaii or anything, but its not the granite/marble/mahogany/chrome some people might be looking for. You can tell the jacuzzi tub is an old one. Some of the tiles in the bathrooms at from a specific era. I'm not trying to be picky, I don't care about that stuff, but if its was all WOW, then it should be $1000 a night. Its not, but not because of anything important to us. Great effort on adding some nice features though like an i-pod dock you can listen to from other rooms in the unit - just turn the dial in that room for volume. X-box in the living room, my kids loved. Free calls to N.A. via line 2 (VOIP). Electric grill on the deck. Definitely what we were looking for in bringing down the cost by doing away with the luxury in a place like the Ritz. We travel as a family, we just wanted a home for a week on the beach. Perfect. If staying on SMB again, I wouldn't even chance it anywhere else. This was the right balance for us. Oh yeah, pool and tennis courts were simple but my kids loved them both.

  This was a mother/daughter retreat with three moms and three college girls. The 3 bedroom condo was absolutely perfect! The location couldn't have been better - so close to the beach and wonderful ocean views from the balconies on both floors. We were so close you could hear the ocean roar even with doors closed and a/c on! Condo was well equipped and furnished and clean. Looked exactly like the photos. The owner Marc was a delight to work with - was very helpful, offered lots of tips and followed up often with us. It was nice having a VOIP line for calling home as well. And the computer upstairs was also helpful. The location on 7 mile beach was good - just next door you could rent water sports. We were close to the Marriott and not too far of a walk to a number of restaurants. The only thing we wish we would have done is rent a car. There are so many neat places to explore that were too far for a cab. I can even attest to great medical care - I sprained both ankles and was very impressed with Chrissy Tomlinson hospital and the staff there. What a great view I had though while I was icing and elevating my leg. We will definitely go back!
