Your Home Away-from-Home in the beautiful Mountain Empire of Southeastern Arizona
Located in Elgin's wine country Rancho Milagro is a limited services B&B with three wonderful bedrooms. We are ideally located, within an hours drive of the major area attractions yet very private. Our guest wing is separate from the main house for your privacy. We also have a wonderful studio for painting or workshops that is available to our guests. With a 360 degree view of mountains all around you will never want to leave. Here you will be able to observe colorful sunsets and see stars so clearly that you only very reluctantly go inside at night. Every season is beautiful. The higher elevation of nearly 5,000 ft. makes for cooler Summers than Tucson or Phoenix, while Fall and Winter are comparatively mild with very occasional short-lived and celebrated snowfall. And it is sunny year-round!
Our three guestrooms are spacious and each one has its private bath. They are equipped with a refrigerator, microwave and you will be able to prepare tea or coffee in your room. Each room has access to the guest court yard on one side and the patio facing West on the other side.
Elgin and its well-known wineries, Sonoita with its restaurants and small shops and Patagonia with its eclectic art galleries and restaurants and the Tree of Life Center are about 20 minutes away. There are endless opportunities for hiking, biking, going birding in one of the world’s top bird-watching destinations, visiting sites of the Old West like Bisbee, Tombstone and the nearby Empire Ranch, or enjoy the Mexican heritage of the world-known Mission at San Xavier . The museum at Fort Huachuca is one of its kind with its focus on the Buffalo Soldiers. And art lovers will especially enjoy the many galleries and the art festivals of Tubac, only about an hour away.
Come visit us and fall in love.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2011
About the owner: After living and working in big cities in Europe and the US we recently moved to Sonoita to enjoy partial retirement and to devote our time to other activities. We live on Rancho Milagro and are enjoying the many opportunities offered in this beautiful part of Southern Arizona. Some of our work demands easy access to air transportation and communication. Both are available here as are the many cultural opportunities of Tucson, important for recent city dwellers.
Why the Owner Chose Sonoita:
We fell in love with the Mountain Empire during our first visit to the area. Here we enjoy privacy and seclusion, yet are able to be in Tucson within less than an hour. We purchased Rancho Milagro in 2011 and just love it here.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We most enjoy that Rancho Milagro offers privacy and seclusion yet is within minutes of Sonoita and Patagonia. We observe hummingbirds and other birds from our patios, see deer walking by and enjoy the beautiful views and night skies. In the morning we take short or extended walks coffee mugs in hand, without ever leaving the property. In summer we go swimming in nearby Patagonia Lake or visit the wineries in Elgin. Being avid hikers we like to explore the Arizona Trail and numerous hiking trails in the mountains of the Mountain Empire.
