Paris Arrondissement 17 apartment description
An excellent family apartment of approx 65 m2 suitable for small or larger families accommodating the needs of children of all ages. It is located in a quiet street just off avenue des Ternes at walking distance to the metro (Porte Maillot, Porte de Champerret), several public car parks, a variety of French bistros and brasseries, the traditional French food market of rue Poncelet and a selection of elegant boutiques and department stores.
The apartment is in a typical Haussmannian building on the first floor with elevator overlooking a quiet courtyard. It includes a well proportioned lounge/family room with a fully equipped open kitchen with a marble table for 8 people; 1 large bedroom with 1 queen size bed (140 cm), 2 single beds and 1 toddler bed; 1 baby room with a cot bed and 1 double bedroom with a super king size bed (180 cm) and a large wall to wall wardrobe. There is 1 bathroom with large shower, toilet and washbasin. The apartment is equipped with top range equipment including: dishwasher, Nespresso coffee maker, microwave/traditional oven, washer/dryer machine, cable TV, flat screen TV, DVD/PVR, high speed wireless internet and a Bose sound system.
The apartment is equipped to cater for young babies with a secure cot bed, changing table, seating / feeding solution, baby bjorn bouncer and a bath seat.
The apartment has been redecorated entirely to a contemporary style whilst retaining the key features of a traditional Parisian apartment (ceiling covings, antique wooden flooring throughout and a fire place). The furniture has been carefully selected by interior decorators from Parisian designers to provide a comfortable and elegant style.
The apartment is located 5 minutes away (by foot) from the luxurious boutiques of Palais des Congres, and approx 15 minutes (by foot) from the Arc de Triumph and Champs Elysees. There is a bus stop on the main road outside the building with connections to the airport and to the main districts of Paris (Opera within 15 minutes).
Lastly, the apartment is excellently located at short driving distance or underground commuting to the business district of La Defense as well as Charles de Gaulle airport. This makes it an excellent solution for families relocating to Paris for business purposes or business people on short/medium term assignments.

We really enjoyed our stay here. There were 6 of us, and there was plenty of room for all of us. The apartment was very very clean as well and the beds were comfortable. It was in a nice location in Paris..far enough away from the heavy tourist areas, but close enough to the metro so that in 5-10 minutes, you were in the heart of Paris. There were plenty of nice grocery stores, bakeries, restaurants and shops nearby. It was very safe at night, and quiet as well. Zoe was so easy to work with...very pleasant. The manager was also very helpful. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking at traveling to Paris.

Great location, spacious apartment, perfect for families
Great location, spacious apartment, perfect for families
Zoe, the owner, was wonderful to deal with, as were the property managers. The apartment is in a very nice safe neighbourhood, yet close enough to everything. Supermarkets are 5 min walking, metro is 10 min walking, Arc de Triomphe is 20 min walking, and there are lots of restaurants nearby. The boulangerie is 1 min walking, but I was not impressed with the quality of the croissants. The apartment is very spacious and has all of the modern appliances. The beds were comfortable and the owner even removed all of the down bedding for my daughter's allergy. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could want. I would definitely stay there again - thank you Zoe for a wonderful experience!

Good family rental
Good family rental
This apartment worked well for our family of 6. Enough beds, groceries and bakeries close by, metro was near, and nicely decorated. It's just outside all of the tourist craze, in a nice neighborhood. There is a pizza place that we dined in and carried out. As well as a bakery our kids would run down to in the mornings. We did have some plumbing issues (sink and toilet) during our week and a half stay, but the tenants took care of us. It was great to have enough beds, but it was a little bit of a pain to have to walk though the kids room to get to the master bedroom especially since the floors are squeaky. However, I would recommend this place to a family with kids.

The owner returned my emails very promptly and the apartment manager was very helpful and kind! The manager was thoughtful too! It made our stay in Paris very enjoyable and pleasant! This place was as it was listed and photographed. It was clean as well. It was not far from the metro. The one problem was that the bathroom sink faucet broke and the plumber could not fix it right away.

First time in France
First time in France
This apartment was just as described and very comfortable. We were met at the apartment by the manager and she made sure we had everything we needed. They even had a bowl of fruit, biscuits and a bottle of wine as a welcome! My husband and I and our three teens enjoyed this apartment for four nights. It's location is great and we had easy access to all of Paris! It is also set up nicely for small children as there is a toddler bed and a crib. Zoe is very attentive and prompt with responses. If we have the good fortune of being able to return to Paris, we certainly would consider staying here again. Thanks Zoe!

Our family of 7 - 2 adults and 5 kids (ages 4 - 16) - stayed in the apartment for 5 nights. Other than a mix up with getting keys upon our arrival - which was remedied promptly and with great care by the owner and property manager - everything was managed very thoroughly. The apartment is very nice and in a nice location - it was just as described in the listing. Easy access to the metro. Convenient small markets nearby which we used to buy essential groceries. We did not eat at any restaurants nearby (though there were plenty that looked good!) as we cooked all our own meals in the apartment which was well equiped. The adults and kids appreciated the high speed internet access. We were happy to have a nice, quiet apartment to come "home" to after our days of sightseeing. I would have given the apartment 4 1/2 stars if that were an option and would recommend it to others traveling to Paris.

My family and another family with young children stayed at Zoe's place this summer. It was very, clean (and I am a major clean fanatic) comfortable with modern amenities. The property is located in close walking distance to the Metro station and even though we thought we were in the outskirts of town, it truly wasn't as it was easy access to every tourist attractions possible. There is a bakery that is open early for daily baked goods to have for breakfast. There is a nearby grocery store to pick up milk for the kids. There is also an elevator which helped when we had to lug our luggages to the unit. Zoe was alway very prompt with her emails and responses to questions or concerns. We would definitely recommend this property to our family and friends. We are looking forward to our return to Paris and staying at Zoe's place again.

This place was the perfect start to our vacation. The flat had a great location, close to everything you needed and great walking distance to the sights. The flat was very child friendly and quite, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The owners and flat manager were exeptional to deal with. The flat manager ensured we had everthing we required, and went that extra step to help us continue our journey in France. We would recommend staying here and will definately stay here again upon our return.

Great deal in Paris
Great deal in Paris
Loved it, was all as advertized. As others have noted only downside was having to go through one bedroom to get to another -- and thus somewhat challenging with teen age daughters and light sleepers. Pierre was nice and helpful but it would have been useful to have written instructions for the oven/micro wave oven as we could not figure out how to work the micro wave. It would have been lovely to have two set of keys as this would have made it the girls more independent and given us more flexibility. But overall just what we needed for a family of four with near adults and lots of luggage. One last thing; as a coffee snob I would rather have had a regular coffee maker or an Italian (aluminum) coffee maker - Nespresso just does not do it for me.

About the owner: Hello, my name is Zoe Lutgen and I am Greek by origin, married to a French man. Paris is one of my favourite places in the world and has always been part of our family life. Our apartment has been fully redone to suit our large family and to cater for our needs when in town. It is a true family home in a great neighbourhood in which my husband has lived most of his Parisian life. I am certain that our home will make your stay very comfortable and memorable.
Why the Owner Chose Paris Arrondissement 17:
Aside from being the place where my husband spent a large part of his adult life, the 17th arrondissement offers quiet living, while remaining in the centre of Paris, and having easy access to the airport. There is a huge variety of shops and restaurants in the area, but most importantly, the very renowned food markets of this arrondissement give this place a unique feeling of true Parisian life.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment:
A truly unique family home able to cater for a larger family, if needed, which gives you the comforts of modern living in a typical Parisian setting. You can pick up your food from the local traditional food markets to enjoy a quiet meal at home after a busy day out and about or just stroll around and select one of the many bistros and brasseries to enjoy an evening out. Nothing is too far from our place and life is simply enjoyable!
