Gorgeous Paris Apartment on the Left Bank, in the Heart of Paris;sleeps up to four in the best location in Paris.
Our spacious studio/one bedroom apartment measures 400 square feet and can accommodate up to four people. It is a perfect short term rental apartment for your vacation in Paris. It has just been remodeled and features parquet floors and very large sliding glass doors opening to a balcony, wonderful for sitting out on and relaxing at the end of a long day. There is a bedroom behind a glass brick wall with dual king bed as well as a comfortable double sofa bed and the apartment can accommodate up to four guests.
The apartment is on the fourth floor (yes there is an elevator) of a modern building in the lively 7th arrondissement. Step into this modern apartment which is located on the famous rue Jean Nicot just off the bustling rue St. Dominique --everyone in Paris knows the renowned Poujerain bakery located just across the street from the apartment and the location of our short term apartment rental in Paris is ideal. Step into the apartment's small entryway to find console table and mirror. The entry opens out into a large living room/dining area and open kitchen.
The kitchen is straight ahead, with teak floors and well-planned work space and contemporary white cabinets. There are all the appliances necessary for cooking a gourmet meal, including a Nespresso cappuccino maker, toaster coffee maker, etc. There is a new washer/dryer combination to do laundry, a dishwasher, a microwave/convection oven, stove and burners. There is a small refrigerator/freezer and good counter space for preparing meals. A tall bar separates the kitchen from the living room with two comfortable bar stools. Sip your espresso here in the morning or a glass of wine and the company of friends at night. Contemporary copper colored lights above the bar add a modern touch.
In front of the kitchen find a round marble-topped dining table with 4 upholstered chairs so you can invite friends or have dinner ‘en famille’.
Walk into the sunny and spacious living room on your right. Large sliding glass doors which open onto the balcony are a rare feature. Step outside and find a pretty teak-topped bistro table and comfortable chairs to relax in at the end of a long day of site seeing and shopping. Buy the Herald Tribune around the corner every morning and enjoy your fresh croissants with café' au lait -- or dining al fresco on warm nights.
The living room is furnished with a high quality beige sofa bed and a comfortable armchair. The sofa design is excellent and is specifically made for every-night sleeping. It simply pulls open without having to remove a single cushion...easy and simply brilliant design. This makes staying in Grenache especially easy for groups of more than two people -- a double sofa bed in the living room and a bedroom area with dual king bed for an additional two guests.
On the right hand side of the living room find an oval marble-topped bistro table for working at your computer, with shelves, flat screen TV, DVD player and CD player above. The DVD player is dual standard so you can bring your favorite movies along with your favorite music for the stereo. We provide a free high speed internet connection for your computer so you can access emails and stay in touch back home.
Behind the sofa, a contemporary glass brick wall separates the living room from the bedroom area. The glass wall almost transforms Grenache into a one bedroom apartment, a rare feature which means you have separate spaces to live in during your stay. Find a dual king bed which can be made up as a king or as two single beds. Above the bed is a Venetian painted headboard, a pretty touch that accents the picture of flowers on the wall. There is a closet for storage and reading lamps, a small but important feature.
To the left of the entryway, step into the newly remodeled bathroom with teakwood floors, a full-sized fixed shower with oversized shower head, sink and toilet. There is a large hot water tank for comfortable warm showers. The bathroom is beautifully done, with mosaic tiles in the shower that contrast with the teak floors and countertop around the modern sink.
The location of our apartment is the best part of all. It is on the Left Bank in the 7th arrondissement, one of the safest and most village-like in Paris. You are a few blocks from the famous rue Cler market street and around the corner from the bustling rue St. Dominique. When you go outside, look right and there is the Eiffel Tower in all its glory. Walk left and the Invalides and Rodin museums are literally two minutes walk.
It is wonderful to stay here; you are on the fabled Left Bank of Paris in the center of Paris, but in the village-like atmosphere of the 7th arrondissement. You will soon be greeting your local baker, butcher, deli owner, greengrocer, news agent, cheese shop owner, etc. At our apartment you are literally surrounded by café's, restaurants that the locals dine at and tons of shops -- wonderful for dinners and a short stroll towards the twinkling lights along the romantic Seine River.
We leave numerous Paris guidebooks and other information on the neighborhood for you to peruse during your stay.
This is a non-smoking apartment and, sorry, but no pets are allowed.
We think this is one of the most romantic and comfortable apartments in Paris and our many guests agree! Please let me know if you have any other questions about our Paris apartment rental or if we can help in any way. We think your stay will bring you memories of a lifetime!

Balcony, Steps to River, Heart Paris, Rue Cler; Romantic Apt!
Year Purchased: 2007
Why the Owner Chose Paris Arrondissement 7
We tried many Paris neighborhoods and the 7th arrondissement in Paris offered the best access to everything we love and enjoy! Step outside your apartment and enjoy café’ au lait on rue Cler on a sunny morning, stroll to Paris landmarks, museums and monuments, to world class shopping on the Right Bank, to the Orsay Museum, the Louvre, Rodin Museum, Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, Grand Palais, American Library. Take morning walks, picnics & bike rides in the Champs de Mars gardens, to romantic walks home along the river at sunset. It’s a beautiful old quartier near the romantic Seine that has maintained a village-like atmosphere, surrounded by bistros and shops so you can step outside and savor life. It's one of the safest arrondissements in Paris; it offers more open air markets than any arrondissement in Paris. It costs more to invest in the 7th, but to us, it is worth every penny. We greet our butcher, baker and local cheese specialist daily. They know what our favorite cheeses are and make favorite suggestions. They know the exact kind of baguette we want each day, not too brown and crusty for soft cheese. That is what we have been lucky enough to find in our neighborhood and we hope you’ll have a chance to enjoy the same special lifestyle.

Owner's Map of Paris Arrondissement 7
My company transferred me from San Francisco to London for work, and it wasn’t long before I met my husband Philippe on a ski vacation. We were married and bought our first apartment in Paris where Philippe was working as a cardiac surgeon. Friends and family loved staying there for the fantastic location and views – walking distance to cafés, landmarks sights and wonderful shops. They loved the experience of living like a Parisian, shopping in the nearby open air markets for the freshest foods, buying warm baguettes next door, enjoying café au lait on the balcony, eating at affordable brasseries and restaurants that Parisians go to just around the corner. They asked if they could rent our pied-à-terre when we were away, and our Paris apartment rentals business was born! Philippe left medicine for business and we now commute between London and Paris on the Eurostar and have two great children who have French and American citizenship ... and who always point out my French grammar mistakes!

"We just returned from a wonderful trip to France. We stayed in beautiful Paris for ten great nights at the Grenache apartment. The apartment was just perfect for us, the location was great and we felt right at home in our Paris neighborhood. We are in our early 70's and found it easy walk to lots of sites and the metro. Definitely would like to return to the city of lights again. Our only disappointment was the view from the balcony, otherwise everything was perfect."

"Although we've stayed in Paris many times, this was our first apartment rental - and it was wonderful! Don't be intimidated by the building's exterior, the apartment is great. We found it to be immaculate and well-maintained, and even stocked with consumables like paper towels. Loved the espresso machine! Location is good. We walk all over Paris, and had no problem getting to anywhere we wanted to go. The Paris Perfect team really is passionate about Paris, and it shows. We will definitely be repeat customers."

"our apartment was very clean, well equipped & comfy. Grenache is in a fantastic part of Paris - the city is a very pleasant & walkable distance. Delicious fresh food markets around the corner in Rue Cler, lovely restaurants(expensive though) & very nice shopping are all part of this upmarket neighbourhood. It was a joy to come back to this area after very long days checking out this beautiful & tasteful city."

“We enjoyed our stay at the Grenache. It was ideal for just the two of us. It's proximity to Rue Cler was very convenient, and within easy walking distance from four Metro stops, without being so close to any of them to take away from the quietness of its locale (this is because there can be a lot of ongoing activity in the immediate proximity of Metro stations, often situated at busy intersections). A perfect balance, in this regard. I lived in France for two years, while a student, and have revisited Paris (and elsewhere in France) many time since then. This time, it was just for a romantic three weeks with my fiancee. Unfortunately, we did not plan far enough ahead to book all three weeks with ParisPerfect. Yes, it costs more than a "typical" hotel room, but for those of you who know what hotel rooms in Paris are like (e.g., "three stars" that compare to American two-stars, nonexistent closet space, 12 Euro/person "breakfast" add-ons, no refrigerator, coffee maker, or even convenient ice/bucket, intrusive maids who have no qualm about walking in on you unannounced, residual odors from prior guests with pets or who smoked), ParisPerfect apartments, even small ones, are a huge upgrade. Having a clothes washer and dryer in the Grenache saved us wasting precious time taking (and guarding) our clothes at a laundromat. Our greeter was a great communicator in preparing for our arrival, and her English was better than my French. Our actual time of arrival was up in the air for various reasons, and she accommodated us wonderfully. My favorite restaurant in the 7th (I learned about it from locals years ago), not listed in any published guidebooks I like to read (e.g, Frommers, Rick Steves) was listed among Madelyn's "top five" in the area, in the booklet of instructions and recommendations that awaited us. This lady has good taste in food (and reasonable expectations as to service), and we tried and enjoyed several other lunch and dinner venues she suggested (and scrupulously avoided those restaurants and boulangeries she candidly advised against frequenting). The safe was larger than any hotel safe I have seen in French hotels-- large enough for our laptop, multiple SLR camera lenses, and more, and bolted to the floor. That may seem like a minor thing to many travelers, but we had taken nearly 1800 digital photos while in Paris, all stored on the hard drive of our laptop computer, and it would have ruined our vacation to have our computer "grow legs"

"We have been to Paris many times always staying in hotels. This past February we decided to rent an apartment and were pleasantly surprised. The apartment is located in a quiet residential neighbourhood with a small grocery store, a G20, a your door step and a boulangerie across the road. Finding a place for dinner was easy as there are many restaurants close by. The apartment itself overlooks a courtyard and is fairly quiet with only noises of the daily activities of the residents. We slept in most mornings which never happens at home. The apartment had all the amenities and comforts of home we needed for our stay. We look forward to returning."

This was our first stay with Paris Perfect and it certainly won't be our last. The apartment was lovely, the location ideal and the staff at Paris Perfect were very helpful. I especially like the fact that they phoned a couple of times to see if we had everything we needed. I will certainly recommend them to friends.

We had a wonderful trip to Paris, and a lot of that was due to the nice apartment and its convenient location. This was my first trip to Paris and hopefully it will not be last. You can be certain that I will contact you if there is to be another trip in the future. Thank you again for making the trip so easy and we felt as if we were in our own home and neighborhood. What a lovely place to stay.
