    Hot tub. Dog friendly. Mountain views. Check, check and check. To that add a great wood-burning stove, too many beds to count, a fully equipped kitchen, good walks from the front door, access to the private Tahoe Donner facilities and much more. Place is casual and comfortable. And as it was only two of us, plus a dog, the size of the two-story house felt decadent. Adrian made the process easy and efficient; check in and out was simple. Would certainly stay there again.

    Coming from OR back to my roots in CA - joined 4 others that I've known for many-many-many years and hadn't seen for over 2! Great Fun! Shilo - my Border Collie - was loving ALL the attention and dog friendly home! We had rain one day - but made that our "catch up news" day - wandered Old Town Truckee - Great trail around Donner Lake and did 2 separate walks on the Glacier Way Trail!     Thank you for allowing us to "borrow" your cabin for a few days. We had a very relaxing anniversary weekend. Our dog Miko loved the quiet neighborhood to go for walks, and the view was quite spectacular.

    The cabin far exceeding my expectations and is set on a quiet road overlooking the rolling hills. The cabin had everything you could want and was very well equipped. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this accommodation to anyone and hope to return soon.

    Thank you for renting your cute little place to us for the long weekend. We spent a lot of time on the back deck enjoying the hot tub, bbq and the amazing view! We had a large visitor on Saturday night! There was a bear break in up at your garbage box. He must have been hungry because three other places up the street were hit as well. It wasn't too hard to clean up and kind of fun to see a bear:). Our dog enjoyed watching the deer and chipmunks from the deck and we are so happy we got to bring him up here with us. Thanks again.

    My daughter, grandson, and I had the pleasure of staying at this comfy mountain home. The atmosphere of the house is very casual and relaxed, not overly upscale and fussy. The view from the deck and hot tub is just spectacular and this provided an ideal spot for watching the sun rise over the mountains in the morning, or the brillance of the starry sky at night. We were in the area for a family wedding and this was a perfect base to see the amazing mountain scenery and the charming town of Truckee. We also were able to take side trips to Lake Tahoe, cool off in the Truckee River, and enjoy Donner Lake. The house was large enough that we could comfortably invite some family back to the house for a few evening meals together while we watched deer in the yard and enjoyed cool mountain breezes. The house is very pet friendly and I only wish my Massachusetts dog could have made the trip with us. He would have loved it here too! The owner promptly answered any of our questions and we left with so many happy memories of our stay here. We would love to come back again someday!

    Lake Tahoe and Donner Lake were both super fun & Truckee river rafting was definitely an adventure. My pup was happy to go on nature walks and hang out with all of us. The kids voted the jacuzzi to be the most fun of all. Thank you for everything & for allowing us to rent your home.

    The listing description was accurate regarding the location. The listing photos accurately reflect the rental’s appearance and amenities. The property was clean and well-maintained. The owner was extremely responsive. I would recommend this property to a friend that wants to experience the outdoors and does not want to camp to do so, or to anyone that just wants to visit Truckee/Lake Tahoe/Donner Lake area. As for nearby attractions, there are a lot. We took the Tram at Squaw Mountain to the top and it was a pretty good time. They have a pool and big hot tub with a restaurant and bar right there at the top of the mountain. Also, if you can handle a little bit of hiking, I would highly recommend driving about an hour down to Emerald Bay and go across the street to Eagle Falls / Eagle Lake hiking trails. Eagle Lake is now probably one of the most amazing things I have seen in my life. Then if you have time, go all the way back down the hiking trail and go across the street to see Emerald Bay. Just unbelievable!

    Recommended for: Adventure seekers, pet owners, sightseeing.

    This is the 1st time that I rented a vacation home...usually stay with friends or family. Great view, love the dog friendly home. Lela was like Goldilocks checking out each dog bed. Played at Boca & Stampede. Tues Truckee Farmers Market then a hike on the Legacy Trail. Thursday Truckee Street Festival was fun! Lela loved meeting new dogs & the tri-tip sando was yummy. Although my friends didn't join me this trip it was very relaxing and comfortable in your home. Suggestion - screen door for slider - bugs, bees, etc. Thanks again

    We came for the annual basketball tournament in Reno but we enjoyed the many outdoor activities nearby such as horseback riding, hiking, hot tubbing. We LOVED the amazing movie selection and the beautiful furniture. But we like to have known there was going to be dog hair in case of allergies. But otherwise the house was great, very comfortable, and homey.

    Had a wonderful time at the place. Adrian was very responsive, we had no trouble booking the place. Was very spacious - It's advertised as three bedrooms but there are plenty of extra beds. Relaxed in the hot tub after a day of snowboarding. Would definitely stay here the next time we go to Tahoe.

    Just as advertised. Quiet, comfortable cabin in a good location that's a solid bet for families or groups of 4 to 8 people or so. I can't speak to any of the warm weather activities in the area, but the cabin is very convenient for skiers - probably no more than 20 minutes away from Squaw Valley - and is maybe 5 or 10 minutes away from a supermarket and a handful of restaurants. Also, having a washer and dryer really comes in handy, even if you're only staying 3 nights.

    Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

    Wow!!! We had the best time at your cabin. There was no reason to leave after we stocked up on food and beverages. The cabin had everything we needed. I can't wait to reserve our summer trip. Recommendations for the next guests, bring your own firewood. Safeway sells a box (1 cubic foot) of firewood for $9. We burned 10 boxes in 3 days. Thank you so much!     Loved the dog friendly environment you've set up. We enjoyed the spectacular hiking trails and mountain biking (Yes! In January!!). It would've been the perfect vacation if there was more snow:( but we had lots of fun nonetheless! The kid zone in downtown Truckee was awesome for our 3 year old!     The property is exactly as described... most notably very clean and comfortable with amazing serene views. The property is very in close proximity to local conveniences (grocery store, town shops and restaurants), Squaw, and Northstar. During our stay there was very little snow due to dry weather conditions.... regardless, there are many activities to keep us occupied...a local power yoga studio, beautiful hikes, ice skating at the top of Squaw... still a beautiful vacation without skiing-- all in very close proximity. Lucy and Hershey (the pups) came along, and the cabin was a perfect environment for them... very convenient potty area right outside! Would definitely come to stay again.

    Visited the cabin for New Years and had a great time. The cabin is a nice, cozy getaway for groups or couples. There is space for everyone to spread out with plenty of beds to choose from. The living room was cozy and had a great time watching movies and playing games. The cabin has all the amenities including linens and all the kitchen necessities. One highlight was the hot tub on the balcony overlooking a lovely view of the Sierras. There is shopping, including Safeway, an easy drive away from the cabin. The area is quiet and tranquil and we had a lovely stay. I would definitely stay at the cabin again.

    What this cozy cabin offers are great views and great value (plus a brand new eight-person hot tub). If you're looking for an ostentatious mega-cabin, the "Skislope Treehouse" probably isn't for you. But who has $5k+ to spend on a week-long cabin rental? The cabin is close to some of the best skiing on the West Coast, sleeps upwards of 10 people in relative comfort, is dog friendly, and has a brand new deck with grill and hot tub for those skiing get-togethers with friends. The cabin would also work great for a family vacation. Additionally, the space heaters and ample blankets ensure a warm sleep even when the mercury drops below freezing. Finally, the landlord is a dream to work with, both responsive and eager to make your stay enjoyable. All in all, a great time without draining your wallet. I look forward to my future visits to the Skislope Treehouse. -DB, New York City

    Excellent location. House was clean and had plenty of space. Was really nice to relax in the hot tub after trips to Heavenly and Northstar. Northstar was a short 20 minute drive, Heavenly was about an hour. We enjoyed shopping in downtown Truckee. A+++ would definitely stay here again! Much thanks to the homeowners!

    We came to this cabin for a little pre-Christmas couples retreat and some early season skiing and boarding. The house offered the perfect combination of convenience- to the airport, grocery store, skiing- and mountain retreat feeling. We loved being able to have dogs with us!! The view off the back deck was gorgeous every day- saw many sunsets from the hottub! Super comfy living room area for hanging out and playing games. This house had everything we were looking for and more! We'll definitely be returning soon!!

    We had a great trip to Tahoe this year and loved the cabin. We especially loved it is dog friendly. Our Border Collie Butch was so happy all week. We had a great hike up to the Donner Lake Overview. We also hiked at Martis Creek near the airport and Galena Park near Reno - all great off-leash dog areas.

    Stayed here with our 2 dogs for a long weekend and had a very enjoyable experience. Everything was provided from kitchen to bath. The cabin even had Netflix movie streaming already set up! We felt very at ease and relaxed and the dogs really enjoyed the view overlooking the back deck. Very close to Donner lake, and downtown Truckee. We live in San Francisco, and love Tahoe year round, and we've now found our new preferred Tahoe rental home!

    Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
