  My wife and I totally loved this cabin in the woods. It overlooked a scenic lake with a gazebo. Inches of snow fell during our stay and we couldn't have asked for a more picturesque escape.

  This year our family decided in lieu of gifts for Christmas, we would spend time together and we were so glad we did! This place did not disappoint! The cabin was all we had hoped, it was new, clean, up-to-date, and well stocked with the necessities for a wonderful weekend. While there we explored the beautiful grounds (it snowed TWICE during our stay), spent time in the rec room, roasted marshmallows at the fire pit, and just hung out. There wasn't a tv so we brought our own and watched movies, and played games. We shopped and ate in nearby Hermann and had a great time. If worked out wonderful for our family of 7. Comfy and cozy would describe this place, we highly recommend to any family who wants to make memories and relax! Hope to go back!

  The cabin was much more than I expected! It was a perfect fit for my daughters and I girl weekend. The surrounding property was beautiful. We enjoyed hiking and canoeing as well as other outdoor activities! I would most definitely recommend this property for a rental!

  My friend and I had a girl's night at the cabin and found it beautiful, exceptionally clean and well stocked. Lots of trails to walk and lakes/ponds to fish or swim in. Fire-pit and grill in the back. We were the only people in the Christian camp and got spooked by the sound of an animal in the woods... so next time we'll bring our husbands! The town of New Haven is pretty much closed up during the week so if you want to do some antique or arts/crafts shopping I'd plan a trip on the weekend.

  We loved staying at the log cabin with our 4 children, ages 2-10 and will definitely be back again! The cabin was beautiful and very clean. There was plenty of room for all of us. Our kids loved going out on the canoes and fishing. We all made some great memories and enjoyed a quiet getaway! The owner was extremely nice and helpful. My only recommendation would be for window treatments in the main areas of the cabin. When it was dark out, it felt a little strange to not be able to close blinds for the evening. Overall, a great place to stay!! I've recommended it to our family and friends!

  We had the best time staying in the cabin.It had everything you would need to make yourself feel at home. It was a very nice get away and both relaxing and fun. My kids, ages 16,14,11,and 8 never wanted to leave the area. We loved it there and hope to stay there again someday. Thanks for a wonderful place to stay it made our trip so nice. If you are in this area you have to stay here. We give it 5 stars all the way around :)

  We were having so much fun, that we couldn't force ourselves to leave..so we stayed an extra night. I took my daughter and 4 grandkids (ages 4,6,8 and 12) to kick off a fun summer. It was better than we hoped for... this is the perfect place for kids and teens..a relaxing place for adults. The grounds and cabin are immaculate. The ponds are perfect sizes for kids to fish, canoe, and kayak. The older kids were able to canoe and kayak alone, without me worrying (even though it was their first time). We brought our own life jackets, although many were available. I recommend bringing your own if you have smaller kids, for a good fit. the playground is close enough to the house that even the young kids can play there while we sat outside on the patio. They loved the feeling of independence..lol. It was a place where I could continue to say, "yes" to all of the things the kids wanted to do ...about every 10 minutes for my ADD grandson! The pool is larger than expected and open all day and night and has a diving board. It is exceptionally clean. The cabin is prettier than its pics. Everything is brand new and we loved the "woodsy decor". Luke and his brother built the cabin and it is awesome...love the log beds...very comfy. EVERYTHING is provided for the kitchen..including cleaning supplies and soaps. Large closet spaces throughout for storage. There are some games and puzzles in a closet that the kids loved. Although it was very hot while we were there, one night it cooled enough for a bonfire just outside the house...the logs and rock were in place when we got there. Pool, basketball courts, baseball fields, sand vollyeball, fishing, canoing, and kayaking ...all within easy walking distance. We took a trip into Hermann, Mo and was delighted at the character of the town. Got huge icecreams at a local shop, and did some antique shopping. Luke was a great host and made sure that everything was perfect. We highly recommend this place for people of all ages, but especially for kids and teens. There was a teen youth group on site while we were there and they were having a ball! This place is better than it is described...go and have fun!!

  I took 9 girls to this cabin and they had a blast it was not warm enough to swim but the girls had a lot of fun just being outside and canoeing and just hanging out in nature.. The cabin was so spacious and clean and had everything you could need. We would recommend to anyone to just get away from city life. And Luke was so nice and the cabin is just so beautiful.. Love it. !
