  "Staying at this Loft in San Diego was fantastic. Firstly, the owner Andre, was very friendly and responsive and answered all queries promptly. A list of recommended restaurants that he sent, helped us first time San Diegans. When we arrived, his property manager Alex was great too and made sure we settled in OK. The Loft itself is very comfortable (couches and bedding are fabulous!) and well-equipped. The styling of the Loft is stylish and contemporary. Great location too, everywhere we wanted to go we could either walk there or hop in a car and be no more than 20mins away, including La Jolla. It was easy to walk to Albertson's, a huge supermarket with a huge range of groceries as well as redbox DVD rental, a few blocks away too. I would be happy to stay here again and recommend it." - Taken from Roomorama review

  Great place! Loved staying there. Hosts were reliable and got back to us with our questions and even extended our checkout so we could go to the zoo without cumbersome luggage.   Loved the condo. Had a wonderful time. The condo has assigned covered parking and was close to the San Diego night life, parks, marina, etc. Would stay again.

  I stayed here for a weekend with friends for a 'going-away' weekend celebration. Upon arrival, we all gasped at the interiors, and knew it was going to be a fun night. What a fabulous kitchen to cook in, while looking into the gorgeous living room with plush sofas and a HUGE TV on a swivel. If you are into sports, this is the living area to watch it. The huge wall of windows let light in but also kept it private with the height. Upstairs, the loft was plush and comfy, with robes and a beautiful bathroom to primp. I would have LOVED to stay longer, as it was a luxurious getaway from reality. And not to mention the awesome price and SUPER helpful property manager. The owners and property manager all seemed very down to earth and honest. This loft is beautiful and I would recommend it to anyone, even my mama!

  Great location, quiet, with all amenities. Loved the bikes! Greatest asset are the owners. Will bend over backwards to make your stay everything you need it to be. Andre & Sue will take great care of you and their "place" is great and getting better!

  PRO: Location, location, location CON: unfortunately, alot and not one person has contacted me *The condo was supposed to be ready by 3 PM on a Thursday. We arrived at 5 PM and Alex the condo manager was inside cleaning. He stated that the housekeeper had an ill child. Okay, well, that is fine…I have children and I know that happens. However, this is what makes me think the Housekeeper does not really exist. The place is just plain dirty and could use a deep cleaning. It has the feel of a man living there who gives a cursory wipe every now and then. The bathrooms have dirt/dust in the corners, all of the main bathroom drawers have old hair in them (it was so gross that my jaw literally dropped when drawer after drawer that I opened had not just one, but multiple strands of hair and whisker shavings in them AND I took pictures – pictures do not lie), the freezer had a long dark hair hanging off of an old pint of Haagen Daz ice cream and the carpet upstairs is filthy and stained, I made sure to wear socks as I could not even stand walking on the carpet it looks that bad. *The bed was uncomfortable, in fact, I would be willing to bet it is an old futon mattress that has seen its day. *The comforter on the bed was stained or had something spilled on it and had not been washed in awhile – how on earth would a housekeeper or a manager miss this when making a bed? *Alex informed me out of the blue that “Andre and I purchased this place as a rental property”. Honestly? I do not care. *The lovely window washers on Saturday & Sunday, 7:00 AM start and ran ALL DAY LONG. The unit was the size of an F250 truck and ran on Diesel. I complained to Alex, he tried saying “Andre told you about this”. That pissed me off. I have all of the emails from both Sue and Andre and neither warned me of window washers all weekend. Alex then stated he would “call Andre and talk to him”. Not one person ever contacted me. This would have been a deal breaker in renting this place at all. *Being accused of stealing/taking the garage key on Sunday. We never used the garage key, never had my cousin show up to use the garage key and never moved the garage key from where Alex had placed it. I am very offended at being accused and then never hearing back if it was found. In summary, I am in San Diego every 4-6 months and will not be renting from any of them again, whoever really owns it. Me thinks the housekeeper does not exist and someone is not doing their job.

  Owner response: We are disappointed as well since we had hoped for a better experience for you. As for the cleaning we will be refunding your fee as we have had issues with this cleaning agency before and obviously not making the cut for our standards. Concerning the window washing, we received notice it was to be on February 11-13 which we blocked out on our calendar - again much apologies for miscommunication. This is my first hearing of these complaints, we will follow up with you personally to make it right.

• Great place to stay in SD!!!

  Me and a few classmates needed a place to stay in SD for a convention. I luckily stumbled across this gem which was beautiful in every aspect. This loft screamed location, location, location! What I loved about this place is that it's literally walking distance to Downtown SD and the Gaslamp Quarter. This was a MUST for us college students because it made the trip significantly cheaper as we did not have to worry about expensive parking fees (1 free parking space it included with the unit). Needless to say, the loft itself was gorgeous...fully furnished, sleek decorative interior, full kitchen...it pretty much reminded me of those awesome Las Vegas suites. As for Andre himself, he was an exceptional host and catered to our needs. He was able to provide numerous recommendations on places to visit during our stay. One of the most important factors for me is a great open line of communication between host and patron, and Andre was able to meet this criteria. I would definitely stay here again in the future and would recommend this property to anyone who wants the most bang for their buck!!! Erik

  "We had a wonderful time in San Diego, Sue and Andre's loft was in a great location. Very close to public transportation, and within walking distance of the Gaslamp District. Plenty of space for my husband, me, and our grown son. The unit was exactly as described, clean, well-equipped, and the property manager, Alex, was extremely conscientious. Would definitely stay here again if we go back to San Diego."
